@@tzp626 technically way more storage on the new one . Also the aux port for headphones. Hardware depth sensor . Better lens adjuster . So there's a few changes

I can get the quest 3s 128 for $299 US w/ $75 Amazon GC or the 3 512 for $349 + tax. I am concerned about low light since I live in an apartment. Should I keep the 3S or 3 & just get an IR emitter if I have problems? Probably not going to watch VR in the dark but I guess I could.
Coming from the Quest2 to the Quest3S is a huge upgrade for me. The mixed reality is amazing. And to know it comes with Batman Arkham Shadow and 3 months Meta+ subscription. There are some excellent games available from the get go. I’m currently playing Asgards Wrath 2 and having a blast
Does the graphics look the same despite the upgraded processor? Ill be coming from the 2 and Im tempted to get the 3s and save 200 n put thst towards games 😂 or get the 3 n be broke lol
There are numerous great standalone games on Quest. Just avoid bad games and get the recommended one on youtube and you'll be amazed of how great vr is and maybe even see that is gonna even be better in the future
@@iykej6 depends on the game but for the most part yes. There are vids that show the differences, in red matter for example, the dynamic shadows is a huge difference. That said, the games which now have a MR mode are pretty damn cool. Les Mills Body Combat XR for example.
The Quest 3 is worth it for me. I had the 3S and I am picky about the visual experience. The 3 feels more natural - you can look around without pointing your head, which you have to do with the 2/3S due to the small focus area. Everything feels clearer and more like a true field of view. It’s more comfortable to look at for longer. I felt like I could actually watch a TV show in there because the clarity met expectations. The 3S is a great starter VR but if you plan to watch VR immersive videos or are into AV experiences (but can’t justify the Vision Pro) the 3 performs.
I bought a Quest 3 a couple of months ago. Bought the Bobovr headstrap to go with it. Must say I'm loving it. It's my first real journey into VR, so have nothing to compare it with, but flying a plane in MSFS 2020 is truly mind blowing in VR. The 3S might offer a similar experience for less money, but the sacrifices in resolution and lenses make it less appealing to me. To each their own, and great video!
Don't let anyone tell you or limit of what to do and try one of the best games on standalone as well as other pcvr games and you'll get your Quest 3 much worth than you can possibly imagine. Simulator vr is good but it is absolutely not everything vr. VRchat is garbage. Beat Saber is far from the best in the library. I own a Quest 2 for 3 years and it is easily the best tech I had ever experienced. You just need to play enough games to actually understand it
@@toututu2993 any recommendations? i only have 3-4 games so far and i keep hearing about different games that you would never find in the home page of the store.
I have never owned a vr headset but I have wanted one for a long time for games and watching movies. If the difference are actually very minimal between the 3 and 3s, I will definitely consider the cheaper option!
Same here, been looking for videos comparing the both, but now it looks like I’m gonna go for 3s since I know im not gonna play vr a lot since I have a lot of “gaming” hardware
I got the 3 on launch day, and got a 3s on launch day to play with friends when they come over. Both are fantastic. The 3 is my go to, but I was very pleasantly surprised with how good the 3s is. There are some compromises, but honestly, for the price you can't beat the 3s. I don't know if it renders at a higher resolution than than the 2 or if it is just confirmation bias, but I think games look better in the 3s than in the 2 (I still have a 2 that I was using for the visitor set that I will be gifting a friend). The pass thru seems every bit as good as on the 3. In my opinion, worth the upgrade for the pass thru and the availability of the new games that are coming out. Plus I saved the cost of Batman, which I was going to buy anyway.
It has been confirmed it does render better than the Q2 due to the snapdragon G2, the Q2 snapdragon gen 1 could not render as much as the Gen 2, so even if the lenses aren’t as good looking, stuff still renders better than the 2
@@lucidluhx6088personally, I would wait a week. The quest 3 is just really good for its price. The 3s is good, but l would say the quest 3 is the way to go.
I came from the Q2 and decided the 3S at $299 USD was more my speed. The strap makes it really difficult to get a sweet spot over the nicer elite strap, but its amazing otherwise in comparison to the 2! Getting Batman for free next week just made it easier to say yes to the cheaper but still powerful headset. And now I have money to buy an elite strap and a few games. win win?
@@robinkesterlivesProbably double the resolution, increase in FOV as well which would be amazing. Maybe redesign of the strap also. Other than that, who knows? But Meta Quest 4 will be a must have. I think VR has a bright future, it just needs more focus on software like more AAA games. If they manage to get Cyberpunk 2077 on Meta Quest 3 (or 4) it would certainly be a killer app. Lots of people will buy it just for that game alone.
Worth noting that if you don’t plan on using the headset for PCVR (steaming from your PC at higher resolution/framerate) you aren’t leveraging the higher resolution of the lenses on the Quest 3. If you just want to download and play games from the quest store on the headset then the 3 and 3s offer the exact same resolution and frame-rate. The power of the headset is always the limiting factor on performance, not the screen, and both have the same processor. The lenses on the 3 will reduce the blurriness and increase the field of view slightly however. If you want something cheap to use for PCVR then the quest 2 will give you the exact same experience as the 3s also as they have the same resolution/lenses.
this is a great point to make. anytime I hear someone ask about VR the first thing I ask them is are you planning on using the headset as a standalone or doing PCVR. As you said, the Quest3 is the right choice to make if the person is interested in PCVR.
Coming from a Rift S for over 3 years (Which has served me greatly) I think i'll get the 3s. I am on a bit of a budget so I think it's the best option. Personally I have loved my Rift S and I still think it looks great, so the 3s will probably be an amazing upgrade. The mixed reality on the Rift S is terrible, you can barely see what's going on, so I am excited to try it. Thank you!
You are, absolutely. Dont let others coerce you into doshing out 500 quid for, at the end of the day, a really cool toy. You're not going to be living life with you headset strapped to your head at all times, you want something to do for a few hours. For that price range, like he said, Meta have really outdone themselves.
Only 1 out of the last 10 standalone episodes has been a robot vacuum cleaner… We’ve done smart rings, robot lawn mowers, robot pool cleaners, an anti motion sickness smart watch, an iPhone etc etc… you’ve not missed them have you 👀👀 👁👄👁
3s, use the 200 dollars saved for accesories and games. I don't understand people recommending the 3. I barely notice the difference between 3s and 3 and I use both daily
The fact is The lens that the 3 uses is far better than the 2's and 3s's Do not waste your money. If you want to get into VR then save your money and buy into it properly. There are no half measures in VR.
Depends what angle you’re coming from, but I disagree about your half measures comment - the quest 3S is great for casuals and people who want an introduction to VR/MR, even if it’s not technically as advanced as the 3. 👀 but that’s my opinion 🤷♂️
I'm near sighted and my vision isn't that bad but I don't like wearing my glasses as I can handle the slight blurriness of my vision. Is the quest 3 still worth it for the lens if I don't wear my glasses?
@@cookiewithsunglasses6786 yes. You can always get lens fittings later and if you don’t want any blur effect I would recommend them! Even without the 3 is better. The 3s is naturally blurry and adding that to your vision without glasses won’t be great. I have both and am keeping the 3s as a spare and for friends to try for a short experience. No way I would use it day to day after using the 3. Its optical quality is really rather average, at best!
Finally - someone acknowledging that the potential buyers of the 3s are not owners of the 3 and not doing a comparative only review. V good review - was not sure - but now - having never worn a VR headset think it makes most sense to get the 3s. nearly 200 euro in the difference for me.
That's entirely the wrong way to look at it. The learning potential of VR demands that we as consumers support only the highest specs. THESE ARE NOT MONITORS. If people buy the shitty specs and experience VR sickness, they're going to get turned off. Less purchasers means less R&D. Sales questions like "worth it" are obsolete when it comes to VR technology. This technology marks a tectonic revolution in learning. Learning curves are going to go off the charts with this technology, at least for sighted people. Exponential. Kids being P.hd's by the time they're 14....traditional textbooks rendered obsolete....travel times reduces.... Don't de-revolutionize VR, it's the future of learning. And that curve...yeah I mean it becomes a vertical line.
I had a Q3 a couple of months ago but during that period i couldn't use it very much due to space problems so i returned it after some time. Last week i bought the 3S and the difference in terms of quality is huge, in fact I will buy the 3 again while returning the 3S, Pancake lenses are light years better in terms of quality than Fresnel lenses. Let's be clear, for the price it's excellent, but it is absolutely not true that the extra money spent on a 3 is a waste, whoever says this has clearly never had both Quests or he can't afford the 3 and must necessarily discredit it out of envy
I've seen several side by side comparisons, and for some reason, the quest 3 looks washed out and the quest 3. S looks like it has better darks and more contrast. Is this accurate? Is this because the pancake lens sometimes looks cloudy? Okay, according to reviews, I've read Go to less light pass through?
your charm sold me on the 3s. This would be my first headset and from the reviews I'm a bit put off by the regression in lens tech and resolution but I'm also unsure if it would make such a difference for me.
If it's your first headset? No, trust me it won't. People were absolutely blown away by the optics of the Quest 2, and a year or two later people don't like it anymore? The people who are making reviews for these have hundreds of hours in VR, and the differences are painfully obvious for them. For a beginner like you, you won't care and will be having too much fun to notice, trust.
Been enjoying my PSVR 1 since launch and have been out of the VR market for years, actually considered checking the Quest 3S because of it's ludicrously cheap price! I feel like the 3S would be a better value for me than the 3 since I'm coming from the PSVR
Tip, for anybody getting a quest DO NOT get an elite strap, they are tooo overpriced and u can get a head strap with padding, and one which is so much more comfortable from a third party company from somewhere like Amazon for over half the price Pls pls pls go check those out before you waist ur money in an elite strap
I think if you’re going explicitly for PCVR, then the 3 has benefits as you can max out the resolution and FOV, and make use of the higher graphics of the PC.
Meta Quest is best for standalone. You better off buy a pcvr headset which weight less and with no battery to worry about as well as quality native to pc. I don't understand why people buy standalone headset just for pcvr when it is not even best at doing so. Such a waste of money and value
I think I'll wait for black friday but im very tempted by the 3s, im always wanting to be multitasking so having a screen wrapped to my face while i can live my life would be amazing
I have a feeling this is it for the price of the 3 and 3S… don’t think they’ll do much for BF (other than maybe throw in something software based for free/give store credit)!
I recommend 3s to everyone who is thinking between 3 and 3s. 3s has mostly same things as 3. Only 3 is a little better screen but 3s has also a good screen which is enough to give an excellent experience. When you buying 3s, you can enjoy the best VR experience anyway. 3s is also the best option for those who don't have vr glasses yet. Buy 3s. You get the same experience as 3 but for less
I have a 3 and the 2 and the problem i have with the 3 is easily scratching the pancake lens and there is absolutely no way to remove them .on the 2 i had no real problem, the lenses are a lot tougher .
I am saying do not buy the Quest 3/Quest 3s? Got my Quest 3s on the Oct. 22, 2024. Went to pair the Quest 3s and my META account says that email and password do not match. So did a reset of the password. Even got an email confirmation that the password was reset. Tried again with new password, still says email address and password not accepted. So, got on a chat with one of the support members on Oct. 23 at META. So, the tech informed me that the previous headset the quest 2 has to be reset to factory setting before I could pair my quest 3s and that this was the problem. So, with the help from the tech, we reset the Quest 2 back to factory settings. But my main question is why is it, if this is such an important factor then why is it not mention in the Quest 3s setup instructions? Well, the quest 2 was working fine. Until the tech instructed me to do a factory reset. Now it is not paired and does not work anymore. Well, when we tried to get quest 3s paired to the account got the same message. Email and password do not match. So was instruct by the tech to do new password reset. So did get an email confirmation of the password change. But still get the same error message about the password. So, then the tech sent it up to their special teams. Well got and email saying that to wait 2-24 hours, and then try to reset the password again. Well, here it is OCT. 24. So went to do a password reset. Got a confirmation email that the password had been reset. So went to long on and guess what got the same massage about the email and password do not match. So tried again thinking maybe I enter it wrong, no got the same error message. So started chatting with a tech again today and was informed that the tech would send this off to his special team. Got this email from the special team this afternoon Meta Store Support

Was informed by a META tech that it was being sent to a special team again and to wait another 24 hours for another email. So, see 3 days and still no quest3s, and now I cannot even connect with Quest 2 thanks to the META Tech. So, then was instructed to wait for the emails from the special teams! Like the email that I received the day before and this one I received today? Oct. 25, 2024, so looks like 4 days now! Hopefully this is not going to the same special team? We have already seen what their accomplishment are. So, thanks to META tech support now the Quest 2 is useless!
It’s really simple to what he said.. the 3s is not for the already 3 owners it’s for everyone else.. especially if yOu came from the 2 or first time buyers.. gamers who what the best, go for the 3..
Lower resolution is killer for anyone looking to play anything shooter/multi-player. On a normal 3 I was competing with distance fights, I don't think I could with the 3s. Looking at something from a distance will look like 4 pixels. 😢 T.T Still a bad head strap.
Don't let those fools tell you what to do. Try out decent standalone games and you'll get your time worth. Standalone vr games are great fun, no artifact, no cords, and very fun. You'll just waste your money for buying something to use pcvr only that it is more of an afterthought feature than what it really best at

@@lucidluhx6088 Yes. Same for me. Meta also has the 128gb refurbished back in stock with the same shipping time. Nice thing about getting it from Amazon is the 90 day return policy and can pay for it in 4 payments!
you did forget to mention that the quest 3 has a better adjustment system for creating space between your eyes and the lenses. The quest 3s has a spacer for glasses which didnt accommodate my chunky glasses. The Quest 3 has 4 different settings which fit my glasses. Otherwise great video
Im really on the fence, i tried the Meta Quest 2 and was blown away. It was the first time i ever tried a VR headset. I really want to get into VR and learn how to better use the tech before it becomes more mainstream, but since we are 1 year out from MQ3 launch, im afraid Meta Quest 4 will release next year and i'll miss out. lol
Ok .. how important is memory ? They offer 128-256 and like 512? in the 3.. how important is memory??? It seems to be 100$ more for more memory on the 3S.. and the highest memory on the 3 is 650$ .. any comment on memory is appreciated.. thank you
So like, I mainly want to get one to ditch the TV and have better cinematic experiences and also have multiple monitors to work on school stuff. Games I’m sure would be a fun past time but it’s not my biggest selling point. So because I mainly want to use it to ditch the TV, resolution is probably the most important. Do you have any ideas on what I could compare these different resolutions to to get an idea of what to expect with each? You mentioned the drop off isn’t so dramatic, but I’m just wondering if there’s any way I could compare the two. I’ve never owned a headset, so this would be a first for me. Thanks!
being honest I honestly dont think that there's a single soul who actually uses the multiple screens option in VR to any kind of productivity.. it's really not even close to being as great as it looks, you'll feel uncomfortable very quickly and it's not very practical to use
Yeah mate absolutely. If you actually have a life and just want a few hours here and there playing VR games, then you will still be blown away on how good it is. If you're someone who needs to have the best and latest tech for bragging rights get the 3.
Just picked up a 3S. Honestly I’m someone who would prefer the better resolution but I’m not sure the better lenses are worth that 200 dollar additional price tag.
How is the picture quality on the 3 vs the 3s for media, ie movies? On the 3s, its not that great, I love the immersive experience of watching a film but most films are grainy compared to my 4k tv. (I may return the 3s and get the 3 if the visual quality is better)
The 3 is better. I had the 3S and watch VR immersive videos and greatly prefer the 3. I think this is where the upgrade makes it worth it, more than gaming.
Thought id watch / comment via the Meta quest 3 for this one. Lucky to have won one earlier this in aTaskmaster VR. yes the strap is the worst part esp if the kids are sharing too. and its starting to getdirty on the sides. otherwise loving, esp for watc hing on the Bigscreen
Comparison with latest pico please. I have the quest 2. Been great. Been waiting for the second edition of the quest 3 and now that it's here I'm curious if I should consider the latest pico instead. I need to continue my journey of vr fun. But I've never used a quest 3 or pico.
Right, so we saying if I already have the Quest 3, which I do, I do not need the Quest 3S? Excellent, thank you! As for the strap… it’s fine in my opinion.
Thanks for your video i have bought meta 3s 1 week ago and I feel pain in my eyes when I use it for 30 min... for example my eyesight is perfect and I dont want to destroy my eyes now I know that i have to refund it... im very angry that I didnt buy meta3 but im still Lucky that I can refund it and buy better quality 😊
Bobo strap all the way, no competition. The double tap for passthrough is perfect and less emmersion breaking, tap the controller, works perfectly. Yeah colour passthrough on the 3s but tbh, I know support is dropped but cheap out on a 2. I dont see any reason to buy this , downplaying visuals on a purely visual experience seems insane. You want to do vr, you want your headset to have decent resell when the next 'proper' new headset comes out... Just get the three, no brainer unless cost is a massive deal to you. the 3s is just meta getting rid of 2 internals that are on their shelf!
Yeah I agree they’ve definably reused some components from the quest 2 parts bin 😂. Still - it doesn’t make it a bad headset, I think it’s a good leap ahead of the 2 and new it’s much cheaper 👌
Great review! I do own a Q3 myself and is a great VR for sure but I have 2 questions so I want a backup VR incase anything goes wrong Q3, should I buy the Q3S? And my 2nd question, can I use the same account im using on my Q3 into my Q3S? Bc I used a link account which is my FB account
First question… that’s up to you! Depends on your use-case, but if you intend only as a backup then it’ll save you some money rather than buying the ‘full fat’ quest, 2nd question - yes you can use the same account on all quests owned by you 👍
@@StusReviewsUK okay! Thank u so much for reaching back to me because I couldn’t decide if i should buy a backup VR😅 so I saw this video and had to ask for an opinion so i appreciate it! You deserve a Sub
Been thinking about getting a VR set for a while, yeah the 3S is a no go just because of the fractal lenses. Seen a side by side and yeah i want that extra resolution.
It’s definitely a difference, but I genuinely think less than people make out - when you’re in it and using it, most experiences you’ll be immersed enough to forget what headset you’re using!
For me, the 3s is 400 and 3 is 650. So im just determining if i need the 512 gigs/better lens/lil better quality. Is the 128 gigs on 3s good? Im probaly gonna be using it for my pc vr games which means i dont have to download games on the quest so i save gigs. But im stuck Btw i have no vr at all. Ive been wanting one
As someone who bought a Quest 2 with the lower memory a while back, I never filled it up. I had both quest store games and played SteamVR. I feel like 128 gigs will get you by just fine. VR games aren't usually massive. Right now I have like 10 games on there as well as movies I have downloaded and I don't think it's even half full.
I already own a quest 3 and a quest 2 I'm trying to figure out if I should buy another quest 3 or by quest 3S as the replacement My wife and I use it to watch big screen and play Demeo
had a quest one a couple years back, then i sold it when i got a quest 2 back when they were still called oculus then the battery broke so i got a free replacement sold it to help me get a car and now looking at a quest 3 a couple months later now
People have started uploading videos that show that you can use mixed reality in complete darkness on the 3s. Hopefully it's just a matter of an update and it will work on the 3 as well.
The value is great on the 3s but the thing is I play hotdogs horseshoes and hand grenades and it looked pretty blurry on the quest two and made precision shooting with most sights a pain to do.
Pretty sure Meta have said they wont be supporting any of there other headsets and are focusing purely on the Quest 3s. Think this headset is purely designed to try and get more people whom haven't taken the leap sue to affordability, to get into VR.
Meta knows that not a lot of people had tried VR, while other companies still treat vr users as a rich rare hardcore techs enthusiast that can spend multiple thousands and spend 100 of hours tinkering hardware and software just to play vr games.
Literally. It's so fascinating how far VR has come in the span of a few short years, I still remember having to convince my dad that drilling holes in the wall for my HTC Vive cameras was a good thing 😂
I have the quest 3 and the default strap is shit like all default vr straps ect maybe the index (can't say cause I've never worn it). But compared to my og vive which was my first headset the default strap setup on the quest 3 was way more comphy than the vives og strap setup. Just in Bernal the headset feels way better then my of vive cause it was too front heavy even with a deluxe strap I added. But I don't blame meta for co.ming with that strap cause every vr setup needs an elite strap regardless
Honestly I love the 3S and I can see why it’s going to be the best seller as value for money nothing quite beats it, however I would say if you can afford the 3 absolutely do it, the better screens and lenses are like night and day

I bought the 3s its really great ..Im banking the extra 200 I didnt spend on the 3 on the next upgraded version which should be fantastic !
Same here, been looking for videos comparing the both, but now it looks like I’m gonna go for 3s since I know im not gonna play vr a lot since I have a lot of “gaming” hardware
Thanks for the quick review stu :) 30 seconds in and im satisfied 😛
It’s not often you hear ‘30 seconds’ and ‘satisfied’ in the same sentence

@StusReviewsUK what's the headset strap system you recommend for the Q3? Thanks
Plus I saved the cost of Batman, which I was going to buy anyway.
should i upgrade from the 2 to the 3s now or wait a week and get the 3
It has been confirmed it does render better than the Q2 due to the snapdragon G2, the Q2 snapdragon gen 1 could not render as much as the Gen 2, so even if the lenses aren’t as good looking, stuff still renders better than the 2
@@lucidluhx6088personally, I would wait a week. The quest 3 is just really good for its price. The 3s is good, but l would say the quest 3 is the way to go.
I just want to thank you for actually being logical with your review!
Most people pick 1 side and smash anyone else who is on the other side lol
I came from the Q2 and decided the 3S at $299 USD was more my speed. The strap makes it really difficult to get a sweet spot over the nicer elite strap, but its amazing otherwise in comparison to the 2! Getting Batman for free next week just made it easier to say yes to the cheaper but still powerful headset. And now I have money to buy an elite strap and a few games. win win?
Yeah if you’ve got a 2… they’ve almost made it a no brainier to upgrade!
@@StusReviewsUK Imagine when we reach the next Quest headset what they will be offering us. Crazy world we live in!
I went with the s after watching your review. My first vr headset, cant wait to pick it up tomorrow. 🎉
This is how a review should be done. FINALLY !!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you!
3s is about to be my first so I guess I’m making a good choice.
You are, absolutely. Dont let others coerce you into doshing out 500 quid for, at the end of the day, a really cool toy. You're not going to be living life with you headset strapped to your head at all times, you want something to do for a few hours. For that price range, like he said, Meta have really outdone themselves.
Because you did that in the beginning, you motivated me to watch the hole video. Well done! Well done!
I completely agree with you about the default strap, and I'm looking forward to you testing more third-party head strap.
@@Andy_9420 100%better with a good head strap. Try kiwi

3s, use the 200 dollars saved for accesories and games. I don't understand people recommending the 3. I barely notice the difference between 3s and 3 and I use both daily
I noticed the 3s feels more blurry for me? Which eye setting do you use?
..you don't own both, you only have 3s and trying to manipulate others while 3 gives you a much better vr experience.
@@sinu9226 the 3 is definitely better, it even has a slider knob for the eye focus. So far the 3s has a longer better life though. I have them both
@sinu9226, how do you have this information? Besides, the Internet is all opinions either way.
@@sinu9226I literally just had both and noticed no difference in resolution quality at all
The fact is The lens that the 3 uses is far better than the 2's and 3s's Do not waste your money.
Some people don’t care about graphics and just want to have a good time 😮
Agree the 3s lens arrangement and quality are rather poor. A 3 with prescription inserts is amazing.
V good review - was not sure - but now - having never worn a VR headset think it makes most sense to get the 3s. nearly 200 euro in the difference for me.
thanks for your video, i just got the one and its the lower version, you made my heart to make a good decision as im not using it a lot. thank you.
lets be real everyone who is dissing the 3s are just people trying to convince themselves they didnt waste their money on the 3
That's entirely the wrong way to look at it.
@ what is bro yapping about 😭😭
$299 is super cheap for what you get in entertainment value ! I love it !
Let's be clear, for the price it's excellent, but it is absolutely not true that the extra money spent on a 3 is a waste, whoever says this has clearly never had both Quests or he can't afford the 3 and must necessarily discredit it out of envy
fr bro, spending $200 just to change the lenses is wild
I came for the info, I stayed for how hilarious this lol
Perfect video i, 100% respect your thinking, opinion. You're really smart
Thank you so much. Was trying to decide between the two for my kids
I love it's right to the point and if someone wanted more to know the reason they can keep watching.
The most important thing i'd like to know is does 3S support the MR in 11 TABLE TENNIS??
Giving off Clarkson vibes, I LOVE IT! thanks for the video, I can finally decide and it only too me 30 seconds 😂😂
your charm sold me on the 3s.
Settled for the Quest 3 pfft

Hello, I have a psvr1, looking into a 3s. Is the 3s far superior to psvr1? Or should I go for the 3?
Tip, for anybody getting a quest DO NOT get an elite strap, they are tooo overpriced and u can get a head strap with padding, and one which is so much more comfortable from a third party company from somewhere like Amazon for over half the price
Pls pls pls go check those out before you waist ur money in an elite strap
Is there a better choice between the two, if i plan on using the headset mostly for pcvr, and will play tethered?
I think if you’re going explicitly for PCVR, then the 3 has benefits as you can max out the resolution and FOV, and make use of the higher graphics of the PC.
@@StusReviewsUK thankyou, I have been unsure what one to purchase for a few days now and i just want to hurry up and buy one 🤣 Decision made!!
I watched the whole video, hoping there would be a discussion about the 3s lacking a headphone jack...
I have a 3 and the 2 and the problem i have with the 3 is easily scratching the pancake lens and there is absolutely no way to remove them .on the 2 i had no real problem, the lenses are a lot tougher .
great review thanks, defiantly helped me make up my mind.

Well, it has not been fixed.
Great video. Thank you
Lower resolution is killer for anyone looking to play anything shooter/multi-player.
On a normal 3 I was competing with distance fights, I don't think I could with the 3s. Looking at something from a distance will look like 4 pixels. 😢 T.T
Still a bad head strap.
Got the 3 because I mostly use it for PCVR I want the pancake lenses and extra resolution. But I agree for most people the 3S is a great entry option.
Don't let those fools tell you what to do. Try out decent standalone games and you'll get your time worth. Standalone vr games are great fun, no artifact, no cords, and very fun. you did forget to mention that the quest 3 has a better adjustment system for creating space between your eyes and the lenses.
Ok .. how important is memory ? They offer 128-256 and like 512? in the 3.. how important is memory??? It seems to be 100$ more for more memory on the 3S.. and the highest memory on the 3 is 650$ ..
any comment on memory is appreciated.. thank you
thanks for being straight forward, liked and commented :)
Thanks for liking and commenting 👌
In my opinion the eye position slider is worth the extra money because not having the lenses not line up perfectly the experience is pretty awful.
Thanks!
being honest I honestly dont think that there's a single soul who actually uses the multiple screens option in VR to any kind of productivity.. it's really not even close to being as great as it looks, you'll feel uncomfortable very quickly and it's not very practical to use
if that's really what you're looking for it's best for you if you just buy an extra monitor
i'm don't have any vr and i'm going to start with Q3s is that cool?
Yeah mate absolutely. If you actually have a life and just want a few hours here and there playing VR games, then you will still be blown away on how good it is. If you're someone who needs to have the best and latest tech for bragging rights get the 3.
@@averagejoe8358 yeah thankyou bro if it's fit me one day i'll go 3 for sure or 4 maybe if it's come in time.😂😂
Just picked up a 3S.

I need to continue my journey of vr fun. But I've never used a quest 3 or pico.
For tethered flight simming (the only thing grown men should use these for) you need the Quest 3.
Yeah absolutely, if you’re using tethered then the 3 has its advantages for quality for sure (especially flight sim)
Love the set design!
Right, so we saying if I already have the Quest 3, which I do, I do not need the Quest 3S? Excellent, thank you!
As for the strap… it’s fine in my opinion.

As someone who bought a Quest 2 with the lower memory a while back, I never filled it up. I had both quest store games and played SteamVR. I feel like 128 gigs will get you by just fine. Pretty sure Meta have said they wont be supporting any of there other headsets and are focusing purely on the Quest 3s. Think this headset is purely designed to try and get more people whom haven't taken the leap sue to affordability, to get into VR.
i liked the video because he kept it straight to the point 😂
Ive been seeing used quest 3 for under 300. Even 512gb models. So i feel like thats kinds the play rn
