can u do review for barton fr50?
Yammie noob! I live in Florida, am I still excluded from bike giveaways?
Will the giveaway come with the original parts to return it to stock?
That's a pretty neat deal not having to take the tank off to change the air filter.
BIG TIME !! now where to locate the supercharger. make it 115 hp 80 lbs tq.. with H2 realiablity . okay i'm drinking a beer i can dream.
As ugly as those rear fenders are on most motorcycles they actually are functional because once you remove them and put a tail tidy on expect to have mud all over your back if you ride in the rain or wet roads
thank god for tire huggers
Correct - and in many countries it's a legal requirement as the rearmost part of the bike cannot be the tyre.
That's ok cause I'm a dirty boy
How the rear fender is waaay behind where you sit
That fender is offensive!! 😂
Fully agree with the cruise control. Almost every other brand is installing them if they have RBW. I have the Vstrom 800 and just bought the Kaoko Cruise Control for it. Works friggin great!
I own a 2023 MT 09 SP, I have used the cruise control one time, I sincerely don't understand why everyone thinks it is so cool.
@@JoeStanek-vu7rl
It's just one more thing for people to bitch about.
@@JoeStanek-vu7rl need it for my IBA run.. other then that is not needed.. in the old days we would just pull the choke down that was cruise control OHH CARBED BIKES nothing better and you could jet them too. sync them and never have to go to the dealer-
thats a throttle lock not cruise control..
@@unclealzbbq2185 Still accomplishes the same thing. Whatever you want to call it.
Just bought my first bike. been watching you for a mine thanks yam
That rear fender 😂
Great vid Yams!
Love to see as next bike de Aprilia RS 457, it would be interesting to see how it performs as a daily bike but also with some nice tires at the race track 🔥
Not seen you that much at the race track, come on papa Yamm
I wish people would just look at the nomenclature.
GSX-R 600
GSX-R 750
GSX-R 1000
then
GSX-8R
Notice a difference?
Gixxater?
I think the SFF is spring in one leg and damping in the other. Not compression in one and rebound in the other. It’s a cost and weight saving strategy.
Love your videos Papa Yam’s!!!
Can you list the aftermarket parts and where you get them from in a follow up video along with why you went with those parts, please?
It's so neutered.
It looks so clean
nice Tissot yammie! can we get a watch collection video?
I don’t really see many people trying to make a sport Turing bike out of this bike, I’m no genius but I feel like people are more likely to try as hard as they can to make it more super sporty. Yes Ik the appeal is that it’s a (less super sport) sport bike, but we all love to chase that performance
Well especially when the Suzuki line up still has a 1000cc sport touring bike same ergos more power fully adjustable suspension and has hard cases and cruise control and only weighs another 50lbs
Thanks for the comments Yam, bet Suzuki will consider features like the missing cruise control to be added in its next gen, as well as adjusting the grey tones like its subframe for all parts other than the existing blacks & the yellows, cheers! 🎉
@8:55 MCCruise makes a cruise control system for the 800 stroms (RE/DE) . Maybe it fits this one too and then you can really pimp it :)
Could you do a full comparison of the GSX-8R vs. other middleweight bikes, like the R7, CBR650R, Daytona 660 and RS660 ?
I second that motion, Yammie.
You can't even buy a cbr650r in North America
My bike has cruise control, dont use it or want it
Hey Yammie! How is it going for newbie riders?
Bring back the sv1000
Agreed. They were ahead of their time
Tl1000s
I love that front mudguard triangle on the Gixxerator. So frickin cool. Also I don't get why oem's don't design a few extra bolt holes to that fin abomination so you could saw off 75% of it and remount under the tail, like a built-in tail tidy. They know it's gonna be happening anyway 🤣
Can you vlog the process when you change the exhaust?
Is there any modifications on the configuration since it's all electric
What would be the best exhaust for it.
I really like this bike. Although the tail light assembly is hideous. It also literally weighs more than a kilo! The rear light & indicators are different in Europe & look better imo but a tail tidy is a must. I personally would also powder coat those wheels high gloss black. I'd get new rearsets, Suzuki (Gilles) levers & the Suzuki taller screen too. It has to have the full Akrapovic system as well for sure!
timeout, what entry level cfmoto has cruise control?
The bike is hard as hell!!!! What you talking about Mr Noob!!!!!
Looks good, but I think the RS660 is a better buy. Especially since alot of dealers are selling them below MSRP.
I’d be interested in an RS660 if the closest dealer wasn’t a 4 hour drive away… with their spotty reliability I would want access to a dealer for warranty work…
@@sleeper.simulant7327 I had a RSV4 Factory and never had a issue with reliability. But yeah having to go that far for a dealership is unrealistic. Still I've yet to see a RS660 or Tuono 660 go for MSRP at my dealership.
wdym by saaying is hard to start from a stop light with a motorbike, if you want you can red line and dump the clutch it works every time
Its also the same taillight on the 3rd gen sv650
❤ welcome
Can it install an aftermarket clip on that is more lowered? If so isnt it gonna look weird/exposed the bolt on the triple clamp area?
Yeah they really messed up the bike with those bars imo. Who wants the bars around your fucking neck lol
I'd take heated grips over cruise control any day of the week. But honestly, both should be standard these days
That yellow paint has Vale's approval
Yesterday, I took a chance on a bike. Standing at 186 cm and weighing 105 kg,
This thing has instantly drawn attention to its aesthetics and advanced technology.
Around the city, cruising at approximately 50 MPH or 70 KMph, this bike performs like a beast, with ample torque and power. However, if you're on the heavier side, like me, and you plan to venture beyond urban limits to enjoy some open road, it's a different story. At higher speeds, it feels unstable, reminiscent of a FIAT PUNTO struggling past 130 KMH. I found myself feeling quite uneasy when attempting to overtake at 150 kmh; it was a risky maneuver, to say the least. Also current performance packs like removing ECU swapping the Intake filters to AKRA & exhaust will give you 8-10HPs, which is a damn joke for 3.2k investments. Its definitely a good city bike but don't expect a lot . I wish they release either performance pack or the same platform but with at least same specs as YZF6R has, that would be a killer.
That pillion seat is giant, compared to the seat on my 21 cbr1000rr.. 😂
YammieNoob - You Funny Man.
I got one. Fun bike. Got it for long rides. My heart belongs to gsxr's but my wrist hurts and my back too lol
would you recommend this or the 2024 gsxr750
I gwt you with the engingine bolts , i really like daytona 660 but the engine bolts make clash
Looks like SV's tail lamp!!
I mean if you want the true sports touring bike they already made it cruise control and all its the gsxs 1000 GT and its semi adv counterpart the 1000GX both are fully faired and 999 inline 4s
due to the death of the I4 engine i tink ist time for suzuki to revive the s series of the sv class so we can have v2 sport bikes that are actually afordebile and will run over 60k km.
The swing arm is bed liner for a truck
Passenger peg mounts look welded to the frame. Cant be removed.... lame!
Why a lot of people don't understand this 2???:
GSX(num.)R=SPORT
GSXR=supersport
5:30 what's happening with your hands?
Reverse Micheal Jackson
you should review a bajaj rs200
Leave bumble bee, save the humans.... No, Optimus. I don't think we will. We NEVER leave a man on the turf. Shyt color Yamm. Nailed the blue ninja 400 tho
I'm Not Sold Till I See Yammy Squid On It and Wheelie On It!😅😂😂
“Intermediate riders who have troubles getting the bike to actually pull away from a stop light”… I wonder where advanced riders are struggling 😂
Those are helmet hanging loops LOL...
It should have been named gsx 8f.. cool bike but still disappointed for what it is.
Price.
So yammie takes a hot steaming dump on the gsx8s but add lower fairings and adjust the resets replace the S with a R and now it’s an awesome bike …… huh
I've been thinking this since he got this bike. Parallel twins are eh. To me, I see a beginner, or Dad bike.
It's his giveaway bike he has to say it's awesome. We all know it's mid
I thought this too, I remember his video shitting on this bike before he got it
Those wheels look like they're primed and begging for paint haha.
Wtf happened in the end there 😂
Nah, GIXXER 750 PLEASE...
sooo it's a 650 ninja ?
Love Pakistani but working japan ❤
Picking up dirty air and also beginner bike yeah hat figures the time of Go Fast bikes is dwindling away
All the rider assist that nobody asked for .
clip on bars..... chnage them with motoamerica twin cup style clip on bars
Gsx 1000 gt??.
Any ride-by-wire bike should have cruise control. All the hardware is there except for a few buttons on the handlebar. Just add software.
They effed up not making it 800cc
It's heavy at 452lbs., that's 90lbs heavier then my new 23 z400..
If you're already going to have the wheels off to put on new tires (tyres), have the wheels powder coated black, and get some black anodized rear-sets (and passenger pegs if you keep them - that pillion seat looks pretty useless). After that, the different hues of the engine cases and the sub-frame will look a lot less busy and confused.
Say I had a sv650, would I be happy to move to this bike?
I would say if you want a less linear experience then yes. I rode both the SV and this bike back to back. Preferred the SV engine.
The reason I would consider switching would be the comfort of a fully fared bike for longer travel, and a little more power, but still sporty handling. I don’t need a super bike or want one maybe just a more long distance daily. I have 7000 miles on my SV 650 and I do love that bike.
We're moving backwards in time, going to a parallel twin.
@@MrTraildust No issues with that man. Just my anecdotal experience. Especially because the SV has such a good aftermarket that all of those things (minus power of course) are not very expensive to do on the bike compared to getting into a new bike. But hey N+1 is always good in my eyes if you can manage it.
don't forget a grab handle/ luggage rack that matches whatever you do to all the other miscoloured parts!
Yam is the type of guy to say "Quirks and Features" but not begin the video with "THIS..."
🔥🔥🔥
Just bought one of these. Great for fatter taller riders. I have sat on everything and this feels just right.
May I ask how tall are you? Been looking for a sporty bike but I am 1,9 m and can't fit on anything...
@@armandomaiello9947 6'1"
Superbe ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ moto
No power
Too bad they couldn’t quite get Fifty Shades of Grey on there.
Putting a cat on sport bikes is an absolute crime. When did that start happening?
Even with that rev assist, I still average one stall per ride.
My man.👊🏻
Soooo you are changing the motorcycle a lil bit THEN giving it away to people?
Usually what they do, yup.
I don't like this bike, however the GSX-S 1000 is very nice
So if you fart while riding does it increase power with the air box under your ass sucking in methane lol /jokes
So comparing it to my 1983 Suzuki GSX750ES....mine is 20kg heavier, 30cc smaller engine, makes fractionally more power and is fractionally faster. 40 years of progress has lead nowhere.
It has LED lights and an LCD screen.
It's probably cheaper to manufacture
What is this witchcraft.........low rpm Assist..... my 1000cc inline 4 has 200 low rpm assist ponnies that will increase the RPM if you release the clutch :))......
We also have a lighter inline 4 950cc with about 130 ponnies that help with that low rpm problem :))....
And if your bike doesn't crank up from just a light push on the start button, I guess you need to service it a bit......
OMFG....
As a current and previous GSX-R1000 owner I have to admit this bike was made sooo cheaply. They can and should have done better. I’m disappointed
I'm split down in the middle with this bike. Great ergonomics though
Spare parts commuter bike. 😅😅
Can't buy into the hype for this bike, all the reviewers just rave over it and fail to point out is flaws. Makes me feel like Suzuki has a hand in what they said.
It's got that horrible modern stubby end, long cantilever hanger disease.
If Bumblebee was a Superbike...👌👌👌
Inline 4 cut in half=paralell twin 😂😂..inline 4=paralell quadruplets 😅
GIXATOR PLEASE NOT GIXERATOR
Doesn't have four cylinders, not a real gsxr.
I think its ugly , whats up with the short duck tail
1
Hahahahahhahaha
fully faired, only 80hp, quickshifter, start assist, so.... basically this bike is for posers
Nah man, a bike for newer riders. Replaced the sv650
@@LoneWolf7129OFFICIAL the SV is still being made
@@Johnnyreengoa good rider on a 8r will whop a squid on a gsxr which is the real poser. A gsx8r got a podium on its first race in moto america twins cup racing.
@@9.5to1 you can make that argument for so many bikes that it’s relevance to the current topic is questionable at best.
@@Johnnyreengo riding a gsxr on the street is peak poser! It literally is the perfect comparison. How is a sensible street bike a poser bike when's it's designed to be sensible compared to riding a traditional supersport on the street?
Why does Suzuki make great motorcycles but the worst cars? 🤷🏻♂️
First FN
This is not a true GSXR. 😆
its a GSX-R
That's like saying Suzuki didn't make a Suzuki the company decides the name not the customer take it up with them😆
Perhaps you can enlighten the world on why your opinion is worth anything at all........😂
This bike is made for beginners, like Yammienoob
That’s right! A true gsxr has zip ties holding the fairings together and is ran by hopes and dreams
They couldn't make it uglier
