Say what you will about the gameplay in this level, but the music is perfect. You get an amazing representation of each of the seven characters on how they feel and their connections to Sonic. Tails: Emptiness, Sonic's the only family he's know all his life. Omega: Determined, doesn't know Sonic well, but he knows he's a strong ally. Knuckles: Fear, he's Sonic's rival but he's also his friend and helped him open up. Silver: Guilt, he just met Sonic and realised he's a good person who didn't deserve to die. Rouge: Lost, she's not that close with Sonic, but he has shown kindness to her and they get on alright. Amy: Depression, Sonic may not feel the same way about her, but she loves him with all her heart. Shadow: Rage, Mephlies escaped him and discarded Sonic, and Shadow really didn't like seeing one of his allies dead.
I also feel like omega learned how important losing an important ally is when he imprisoned shadow (which makes me REALLY made me want to see a boss battle between the both of them in crisis city).

I like how the final level theme shifts with each of the characters representing their own struggles as they are trying to grasp the situation that happened. Amy's though by far hits the hardest. The somber sound of the angelic choir makes it akin to weeping. Poor Amy is just broken with what it's showing in the soundtrack.

Very true. Arguably, the stakes are at their highest in this game. Solaris, an inter-dimensional space being, has the power to erase all timelines along with everyone in them. If Solaris wasn't stopped, then the creature would have destroyed all of Creation and the main Sonic franchise would have ended.
Well, there some failures in the plot but overall I enjoyed it. I loved the Shadow and Silver's historys, other characters like Tails, Rouge and Omega helps in some parts and the project Solaris was very interesting. I like Sonic 06 for being a little more serious than other games and I really want a history and music like this again. Even if I never played the game, and I really want to play it.
Only time the stakes hit the ceiling with a sonic antagonist,mephiles is the most pure representation of evil in the sonic franchise. His main goal was to scar mentally an innocent person and manipulating other innocent people into doing his dirty work, and also he litterally killed sonic, no friendship speech like gens would bring him back super sonic style... He was flat-out dead and mephiles got what he wanted essentially, so had the emeralds not being wish granting macguffins the franchise would end there. No other villain came this close to being so heartless and cold blooded if not the shadow of iblis... and then infinite spat on our faces with his forced edginess and no signs of genuine threat...

The one thing I love about this game, even though it has so many glitches, only one villain that is sadly almost not existent anymore, was able to actually KILL Sonic! Which I did find actually sad, but also redeeming. Terrible story, but don’t care about it, love the game, the models of the new enemies, new locations, new characters, and killing sonic. Sorry but I love it
Unlike Infinite who was just pure cringe, I can at least accept Mephilies’ motives and actual presentation in the game. Could his execution have been better? Yes. But I found that his motives, powers and even general pressence gave off this creepy and unsettling feel that you wouldn’t expect in a Sonic game. Given the better writing, Mephilies could’ve been miles better, but I’m still glad with what we had
This song proves how AMAZING this game is, this game, if the glitches hadnt had been there, this couldve been a contender for one of the greatest games of all time, this was the game that was going to put sonic up there with zelda, not only 06 had a great story, fun open level design, huge open worlds, and even extra levels through dlc, but the music is absolutely phenomenal, you got wave oceans speed section, dusty deserts ruins, white acropolis snowboard, crisis citys 6 minute piece, flame cores cavern, radical trains speed section, tropical jungles ruins, kingdom valley, and aquatic base, and to top it ALL OFF, you get this EPIC finale where sonic is dead, the characters are filled with so much sadness, that they have no hope to keep moving on, but silver motivates all of them to go out, even the music symbolizes what they were feeling at the time, its amazing Tails-Depression and Emptiness Omega-Techno Knuckles-Devastation Silver-Complete and Utter Confusion Rouge-Strange beachy tone that fits rouge Amy-Completely Destroyed and Empty inside and void of all hope Shadow-Rage Then they epicly revive him using the 7 emeralds, then all 3 go super saiyan, tell me, and i mean tell me, does any other sonic game have this much heart put into everything? unleashed cant touch this!
Tails's area, part 1 of the music always creeped me out. You're collecting emeralds to, hopefully, revive your dead friend! The music at this point gives me a sense of dread, sadness, fear, and loneliness.
I know it _technically_ isn't. But I feel this is the peak of dynamic video game music. Either this or conquest from FE Awakening, which actually is dynamic.
Y'know, the more i play this game the more i love it, and not to say it isn't bad, it's far from being a good game But with that said, the music alone just make this game a wonderful experience, and to this day i still think it's one of the best, if not THE best Videogame Soundtrack of all time, no joke It just fits perfectly with every aspect of the game, it complements the silly narrative so well, it goes hand in hand with the messy gameplay and it shows I mean just hearing this song you can feel, sorrow, desperation, sadness, which is in fact what the game is trying to establish at this specific moment, after all, Sonic had just died and that dropped everyone's morale 6 feet underground And it's not just this one song, every other piece for this game delivers more than the game itself So i do believe this game has one of the best soundtrack in gaming history, and again not just because the songs are good (they are), but because it works so well with whatever the game is throwing at you, beaches, volcanos, whatever, the soundtrack has the perfect tune for it

Tails's area, part 1 of the music always creeped me out. You're collecting emeralds to, hopefully, revive your dead friend! The music at this point gives me a sense of dread, sadness, fear, and loneliness.
I know it _technically_ isn't. But I feel this is the peak of dynamic video game music.
Either this or conquest from FE Awakening, which actually is dynamic.
Listen to the Nier Automata or Replicant soundtrack. Every track in that game is dynamic

I hate how cyan is now considered classic sonic’s colour. He was ALWAYS dark blue and in sonic 3 when they met for the first time

Y'know, the more i play this game the more i love it, and not to say it isn't bad, it's far from being a good game
But with that said, the music alone just make this game a wonderful experience, and to this day i still think it's one of the best, if not THE best Videogame Soundtrack of all time, no joke
It just fits perfectly with every aspect of the game, it complements the silly narrative so well, it goes hand in hand with the messy gameplay and it shows
I mean just hearing this song you can feel, sorrow, desperation, sadness, which is in fact what the game is trying to establish at this specific moment, after all, Sonic had just died and that dropped everyone's morale 6 feet underground
And it's not just this one song, every other piece for this game delivers more than the game itself
So i do believe this game has one of the best soundtrack in gaming history, and again not just because the songs are good (they are), but because it works so well with whatever the game is throwing at you, beaches, volcanos, whatever, the soundtrack has the perfect tune for it
Too bad Blaze had risked her life and wasn't there to see what happened to Sonic.

You know part's of this theme, or whatever you choose, is perfect for doing Tai-Chi, also hey I actually did Tai-Chi while listening to this song in the middle of the night, and I might in fact put this song on a CD, burn this song, and then put it in a stereo and do it in the park, I don't care what time in the day, except not night. Also, then people might come up to me and join me, I mean this theme is all about the Chaos Emeralds, and is in fact a perfect theme for the Chaos Emerald's, and also in fact Super Silver, However not Super Shadow, Super Sonic, or any other Super State-individual, because Super Silver is an enhanced-Psychic based Super State, I mean he is protected, and can in fact protect with his Shield of Light, An inidividual who will and does not need to worry about danger, See what I mean?

I'll be honest, as bad as this game was, this is actually the most depressing part of it. Especially Amy's theme in this level.
As bad as the game is,the soundtrack is epic.
