Viral Colorwash Shampoo Review [2019]

- On this short, blonde, balayaged hair, I'm changing things up and leaving my review. In todays video I used the Viral Shampoo Colorwash in Lavender on my dry hair trying to achieve pastel purple hair. Follow along to see my short balayaged blonde hair turn… well you gotta keep watching to find out! I style it at the end with my favorite L’ange Curling Wands. I got my natural brown hair red one week ago, and the color was fading right after the first wash. Today I tried the Vital Colorwash and it really visibly brings back the color a bit. I left it in my hair for about 5 min just to see how intense it will turn out. But I think if you leave it in for about 10 mins you will get an even better result. It washes out really easy, makes my hair soft and the stain is really easy to remove from your body and shower. I'm really impressed so far ❤️

I like it actually it looks like you have a purple balayage going. It doesn’t look like you accidentally did that with the dark roots and other parts of your hair not picking up the purple. It still came out nice even though it wasn’t what you may have planned. I like it! I have dark hair and bleaching my whole head scares me that my hair may fall out or something lol so have had crazy colors in my hair but highlights or done in the back and underneath

Another FMM lesson..How to blowdry for volume! AWESOME! Don't feel bad about the purple..I thought I was coloring my hair a medium brunette and it colored JET BLACK! YIKES! Spent 6 hours in a salon to lift the color and another day to color. UGH! You got lucky girl! Thanks for the continued inspiration and laughs!

These are meant to be applied on wet hair so it’s definitely going to absorb more on dry hair, but the good thing is these will wash out eventually! Probably 10-20 shampoos! A clarifying shampoo a couple times would do the trick! They are fun shampoos and I tell a lot of people about them:) such a fun thing to do that last about a month!

Your hair looks great! I have never tried this, however I have used manic panic and mixed it into my conditioner. But by far artic fox is my favorite brand for fun colored hair.
Is artic fox a good temporary dye? I live in florida , I’m in the sun a lot, and i have bleached blonde ombré ends. I want a long lasting light lavender temporary hair color please let me know I’m trying to research but i cant find answers i need.

I think it truly just depends on how much you put in and how long you keep it in because I used magenta and it dyed all of my hair an almost rose gold color but it definitely worked.

I need to use my wand more! I have the same one! I’ve been using my curling iron but it doesn’t give my hair the effect/style I’m going for! I now know why! Yeah
I've been wondering if this would work if only certain sections of your hair were a different colour. I got green in my hair shortly before Christmas and it's faded to the point where I hate the colour, so I wanted to try to get it nice and vibrant again with this shampoo
I think it totally would! Just section off and only apply it where you want the color to show through :)

Once for Halloween I used Manic Panic to make "witchy" hair. It's supposed to wash out. Let's just say it wasn't so temporary on my highlights, and green is NOT my color! (Insert cackle here)

It looks amazing did a wonderful job the roots were to dark so pastel colors won’t sit right on dark hair but the bleach part looks amazing it’s purple like that on the ends because your ends will be more dry and porous so it sucks in the color I love it

I was wondering is this a temporary hair dye?? I have more of a blonde bleached at the ends and i want something temporary just for fun. How long does this last??
It is temporary! It lasted around 4-6 weeks depending on how often you wash your hair.
Does it wash out 100%?
The viral colorditioner w bond fix is not drying like the viral shampoo so would highly recommend. I’ve also been using, in addition to colorditioner, is joico color butter

I have lavender in the ends of my hair and I've been using Tressa Intense Watercolors shampoo in Lilac. I noticed it was little more pink than bluish tones. I just purchased the Viral one to see if it gave more silver/blue tones. I really like how the color turned out, hopefully it works with my hair

I know u are back to blonde now. I think it’s a fun change. I really liked the ashier blonde it made the rest of your hair. That might be a pretty fall color. I guess since it was purple it just acted like a toner on the non-bleach parts. 🤷🏼♀️. I would be to scared to try it. I’m not adventurous like that to try stuff like that; and I’m not sure how my workplace would react lol (healthcare). Maybe I could get away with some pink in October.
It is a lot of fun!! I think you totally could! You would rock the pink. Plus it washes out pretty easily with Clarifying Shampoo. The rose gold spray from Kristin Ess washes out really quick if you just want to try a color sometime.
rn i'm using the lavender one but it made my hair a light rose gold so ig you gotta do it on fully dry hair as i should've learned this lesson already. trying it on dry hair rn hopefully it looks purple not pink lol

So after watching this video.. I finally ordered a bottle of the lavendar today 😅 Currently I have natural brown hair with white blonde highlights. I hope the color grabs well on the blondes. I'll probably do a test strand first, because if I don't like it least then it won't be my whole head 🙃

It lasted a few washes in certain places a lot better than others. I bet if you used the conditioner and shampoo together I am guessing it would last a solid week!

You should use the punky 3-in-1 colour shampoo and conditioner the colors are so beautiful, so vibrant. I’m getting anxiety just watching her try to do this lol 😂

No it didn't, purples and blues are much harder to get out. If you are wanting an easy color Pink washes out well. I had a hair appointment and so my girl had to help me get it out!
I wished I watched your video BEFORE I used Viral Hot Pink and now I’m regretting it! I’m so scared to msg my hair stylist because we worked so hard to get my ash blonde. 😢
What did your stylist have to do? Use bleach? I’m hoping it’s something as easy as retoning.

Keracolor in Rose Gold. Found it at Ulta. Easy peasy. Definitely applied it to dry hair. So much fun!!!

Your hair might be more dry there so it soaked it up more OR if you started there and it sat on that part the longest it would

I find that it works better if I use the hair dryer to help it sink in.

How long did it take to wash out?
After quite a few washes and a couple weeks I still had a few stained pieces but I had a hair appointment coming up so I just had my stylist tone it to get the rest out!

This product is meant to be used multiple times for the full effect. After three 5min washes my hair was very vibrantly colored. Compared to sitting with manic panic for 45 minutes, it's a great product!
If you dye with manic panic and then use this product to maintain, you can probably keep it looking good for weeks on end.

I think if you used this on damp hair iit have been the color you were looking for
I think it looks great, but it really isn’t meant to dye darker hair I don’t believe. Especially if it’s one that washes out after several washes. Regardless it looks great, but I’m thinking anything would on this beautiful lady.

I used the dark purple shampoo and it dried my hair so much I couldn't untangle it myself. Definitely use hair oil after using this.
