Hyped for this! 💪🏿
Awesome technique! I loved watching details like that hollow diamond of muscle in the lower-middle of the creature's back emerging almost spontaneously from those confident early shape choices.
These tutorials are phenomenal!
i am so glad i found this channel. every single video is somehow exactl what ive always needed and wanted. please continue making content! its amazing!
Instant follow. Great work, man!
Instant follow from me tooo

Amazing work and tutorial! I just got into blender and creature design, and this helped me a lot. You also have a very soothing and clear voice to listen to, kept me interested from start to finish. Thank @Critical Giants :]
this tutorial is amazing , keep it up , great content! Thank you
Amazing work, Critical Giants. Bravo !
Hey! This was a fantastic tutorial! I am brand new to blender and your way of breaking things down and then building them up is such a cleaver yet understandable way of doing this! Thank you so much for the tips and guidance!

this is a really neat approach.... i honestly love how anatomical the approach is.
Thanks a ton for sharing your process!!
Awesome tutorial!!
Awesome! thank you.
You are the great teacher and artist!!

wow nice info about them thank you so much
Our pleasure!
Good work. Great channel. :)
Just finished watching the full tutorial
For those that haven't purchased yet, like what you see here?
For less than going to the movies, you get 5+ hours of narrated tutorial, covering a new creature!
Love this form building style, I'm working it into my future models (along with other things from the tutorials)
Thanks William!
too bad he increased the price of the tutorial on gumroad to $50. i was gonna buy it, but not anymore i guess
I would be satisfied with my life if I could create conception art like you.
Awesome
i learned from you so much more from this video than the one hour videos of CGboost and others! thank you so much!
i just have one tip for you, when setting the vocsal size for remeshing in sculpt mode, try pressing 'Shift + R' and moving your mouse, much easier to visualize it.
No offense to CGboost, but this man has about 10 years of studies behind him. Saw he did 3 art schools and has amazing concept art skills.
Let's GOOOOOOOOO
Keep up the great work
Will do!
Pretty interesting workflow with that muscles. I'll remember that.
Наконец-то нормальный тутроиал!
Superb, I i will bought this week your tut!
Great!
This is so cool, we should get more creature creating vids
Good thing I have some planned :D
New fav UA-cam channel :)
The honor!
That muscle thing is genius, should have thought of that
vildt fed video!
The skeleton & muscle blocking is a great example of the 20 - 80 rule
Great video, bro... thanks 🙏🍺🎩🎩🎩
Glad you enjoyed it
I love this approach!
M2!
@@CriticalGiants I've never gotten a reply that quickly :D
I really should start getting into blender!
Keep going bro
Amazing Work Sir 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you! Cheers!
genius you 😲
Me who doesn’t even have blender watching this be like:
Critical: I'm going to make a fantasy creature
also Critical: * casually recreates Sivatherium - extinct cousin of giraffe *
Omgard, never heard of that one, but I totally see it, what a wonderful being
what key did you use when you did the thing with secondary forms
👏👏
Hey men awesome video!!! I was just wandering If I would make a TCG game would this workflow be faster than drawing every single card?
This is awesome! Would you do a tut on how you would retopologize this? It's an amazing model, and I understand it's just for concept art, but in a normal workflow for film/games, it wouldn't quite work. I'd love to see your process!
Sure I could, but there great tutorials out there on this topic, check FlippedNormals if you can't wait ;)
Hey thanks for the tutorial! Do you have to retopologize the mesh and rig it to pose it for paintovers? Seems so time consuming just to pose the concepts for 2D. I know about the pose brush, but it doesn't seem to work that well. Thanks!
Hi, I actually go through this process in the full course, I actually use the pose brush to pose it, it can be tricky, but there is a way to make it work a lot better.
@@CriticalGiants Thanks for the quick reply. Good to know about the pose brush, I'll check out your course!
It helped me a lot, but i got stuck on colours. They don't show in any viewport shading other than solid, also the colours in my version (3.0 blender) are called colour attributes other than colour vortex, idk what to do with it, I can't find any info on the internet
How do you create those muscle groups so fast? I'm stuck on that part and don't know what to do
Great video! how is it that you're manipulating the meshes during the secondary form section of the video? it looks almost like you're sculpting in edit mode. I've slowed down the video and it seems like you're grabbing only a single vertex at a time yet the whole object geometery is morphing in the direction you're pulling and pushing? Thanks
I had this problem too, but there's a button, looks like a circle inside a circumference, it's slightly to the right of "Global" which you can see in the middle of his screen, what this is is "Porportional Editing", it's off by default, you have to click it for it to turn on, and you can see that before he starts editing the Secondary Form, the button is blackened, but when he edits it, the button is blue.
how do i make the secondary form? i cant seem to move and scale them like he is doing...
I have a question, when you copy the objects I noticed that they each get their own separate name in the collection. When I dupe them using shift+d, I don't get extra names and they all are under the original object. How can I get it to be like yours?
Where do i learn photoshop
very cool ? may i ask what is the yellow widget we see when you manipulate the form ?
Ahh yes, that is because the smooth action was enabled and faces were selected, nothing to do with the deformation, was just something that was left on.
@@CriticalGiants ah ok i see :) ..well it's weird i don't have it on blender 2.91.2 but no big deal :) thanks
Op in the 1k
20:03 - What version of Bridge did you install? I tried to run it on Blender 2.92 and it didn't work. It installs (by default on Blender 2.83). How did you do it?
Also, copying the .py addon to blender 2.92 didn't show it available under addons.
You mean for the texturing? For texturing you have to use Blender Alpha 3.0.0, only place texturing works.
Oh wait, erhm I don't know what version I have, I just followed the install instructions on from bridge's website.
How did you make the cut in the rectangle at 2:26?
It's called a loop cut.
Do you use bool tool to merge all the forms???
No remesh in sculpt mode
Hi there! I'm trying to follow your workflow for the Texturing part, and I'm using Blender 3.0.0 Alpha. In your brush menu you have your "Paint" brushes with the "none" thumbnails. I don't seem to have those, is there some kind of addon you are using? They might have now removed this feature but I'm unsure :(
Hi there, no 3.0.0 is all you need, then you head to experimental in the settings menu and click on sculpt vertex colors, and then it should be there
@@CriticalGiants Ahh I see, I wasn't using the experimental. Thanks!!
Yo which animal did he sculpt?(nice model btw, your really talented dude)
I like this video but it goes too fast. How do you make the actual muscle groups?
I love this technique, however I run into the problem where deforming the muscle groups causes the polygons to glitch and distort a lot when I deform them too much, is there a way to prevent that? I don't see it happening in your video at all.
Dunno if you already solved the problem or not, but you have to remesh the polygons with crtl r when sculpting, otherwise your model will look bad after a period of time
oh my god, i've been modeling creatures so wrong LOL
Please model creature which looks like dino...
why i can't texturing like you?i used blender 3.0
Your gumroad tutorial showed that it doesn’t include any ‘commentary’ so will you not explain things as you go?
Asking just because I was interested in getting your course.
If the word 'badass' was a creature.
Ben bundan daha iyisini tasarlarim harbi yani resident evil daki reptoidler gibi yani.
not sure what this is, but it needs some milk.
Wild monsters like living dead resurrected by evil thing. Virus or any.
tbh i might quit blender now because of this video
Yup im done with this shit
This guy sounds like musk
