ep123 My Yard Is MY Garage - 2010 Mini Cooper Engine Disassembly Part 1

Today we tear apart our 2010 N14B16A Motor...specifically its an "S" model, turbo, R57 convertible. Our goal is to get the head off, diagnose on this machine what caused the failure, and not just the fact it was at 305k miles.
We are starting with the engine out and sitting on a tire.
This is something you can do, if I can do it and I'm just a shade tree mechanic...I am confident you can do this too! Take your time, use the right tools; spend a few bucks on those tools - makes all the difference.
