Вставка
- Опубліковано 9 лип 2024
- In today's video I'll discuss my TOP 5 favorite lures for summer bass fishing. I'll put an emphasis on lures that I use while I'm bank fishing. WHY??? Because I don't think bank anglers get enough love! However, these lures work great from a boat or yak as well! I'll discuss lure types, colors, and the combos I fish them on. I'll explain my reasoning behind my picks and even give you a little tip for each lure!
COMMENT BELOW and let me know what your TOP 5 summer bass fishing lures are!

As a Bank fishermen I feel neglected by UA-cam, where everyone has a Bass Boat and 20 combos! Nice Vid!
I honestly don't thing the bank folks get enough love. Appreciate you watching my friend 👊
I dont have a boat so I do a lot of river fishing and only use two rods
I just started fishing with the wife and my 4 kids about 2 months ago. All we can do is bank fish but it is fun and we are trying to get better.
I'm a kayak and bank fisherman. Actually prefer bank fishing. I always carry a machete with me so I can whack my way through areas I can't get to
@@larry6686st good idea. I was walking in 7 foot Johnson grass last weekend and had to turn around cause i couldn't see where I was going.
Bank anglers really dont get enough love lol. I'm pretty sure you're the biggest bank fishing channel out there
Debo and realistic bank more than most
100% agree
Ktbtv
Bank fishing is hard man I give them so much credit I do it from time to time
Jax Leggett he still has a boat tho
This is what I like about this chanel...no ''acting''...just straight and honest. No bullshit. I've said it before and I'll say it again...this is a dude that I'd go fishing with. Cheers from Montreal ;)
Means more to me that you understand man! Appreciate you watching and supporting. Given the chance, I'd be honored to wet a line with you 👊
@@DEBOSFishing awesome dude!
1 ultra light set up and one regular, bank anglers can't carry much so usually one set up and some lure variety, a lot of walking involved here where I live, really appreciate this kind of videos, thx a lot.
Same here armandor. I am trying to trim down offerings for max flexibility for both a ul & a med.
I love the tackle talks because you should never stop learning
Keep them comming. Good stuff for those just getting started. As for me I've been doing this a long long time.
Couldn't agree more. If you eant to get better you CANNOT stop learning!
Debo, as a 76 year old recently moved to Florida and only a beginning bass fisherman, I have learned so much from you and you discuss products that will break the bank. I get a lot of my stuff from two small tackle shops but the rods and reels are from Walmart. I can’t express my thanks for your videos. Please keep the bank videos coming.
Then there are followers like me. Never in my life have I ever deliberately gone out to fish for a damn bass. Yet, here I am, and others are, faithfully following bass centric channel. It truly is an enigma.
The angler always gets the first hook! LOL
Comments like this mean the world to me and keep me going. Thanks for sticking with my channel and supporting!
@@DEBOSFishing My pleasure. But, I am still not going to go and deliberately fish for bass. "L"
Just getting back into fishing. Last time was in the early 80’s . Your channel has been priceless to help me learn .. things have changed quite a bit since my old Zebco
Haha yeah, stuff has changed a bit since then. I'm glad my vids have helped! Thank you so much for your support 👊
Awesome Video any help with High Pressure ponds would be great. Debo you are the best.
Love the tackle talk. I love your videos because you’re approachable and attainable. These guys running $70k+ bass boats are a bit discouraging. Love the tackle talk and bank angling, keep it up! Thanks for the vids.
I'm just a dude like you who loves to fish! Thanks for supporting. I'm always down to talk tackle with folks!!!
Debo is definitely a pro bank fisherman! You have to love these type of videos, so informational to do something different, color, bait styles. Thanks for sharing your rod and reel combos set up!!!!
Hah...I'm certainly not a pro. Just a dude who loves to fish! Thanks for watching my man!
I've had other BPM baits ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 before and they've pretty much always came through for me with the suskie smallies here and even with the walleye and pike, but I realized I didn't have an "in-between" pattern so this junebug one fills that role in no problem. it pairs up magnificently with a junebug Zoom Z-craw Jr that was trimmed a couple millimeters before the hook slots and rigged sideways for that fatter panfish side profile while still being a nice'n'compact presentation, a real power-finesse bait. Hell, it was so pretty I even bothered to fotosketch the pic into a watercolor painting image just to show you it's beauty! Even the blades are really well made, sure, they're not of Hildebrandt-level exquisiteness but look at the bead's reflection on the colorado blade, definitely well-made! The only "problem" spot it had was a bald spot in the skirt but it was nothing that I couldn't easily fix with a but of tuggin'n'shiftin' with the strands for a couple of seconds, besides that it is pretty minty!
Debo,
Thanks for the sound advice. I like that you are not promoting expensive baits and offering affordable alternatives. I also appreciate the practical advice to invest in a reel with a metal body. I have made the mistake of buying spinning reels that were cheap. I felt it was a waste of money to buy good ones. Several reels later I realized the benefit of investing in a decent reel. I purchased a Shimano Sahara @ 25 years ago and did not need to buy another until a couple of years ago when the roller on the bail wore a groove in it, so old it could not be replaced. Other than the worn roller it works as good as the day I purchased it. So when I got back into baitcasters I bought decent reels all with metal frames and happy I did so. You do not have to spend a lot to get a metal frame. A decent rod is also a good investment. I am a bank guy and this week pulled out my best rod and reel combo and was amazed at how much different they work compared to my other combo’s. Love the look of the Scorpion reel. I would buy one just for the color alone. They are outstanding reels according to all the reviews I have seen. Do you have the DC version or the MGL?
Thanks man. Agreed, it definitely pays to get something like that for it to last. You can use the less expensive reels for techniques that are less taxing on gear. I have the MGL scorpion and I like it.
Any video you make is always helpful Debo. Thank you.
Man, I'm so happy you did this video! I've been wanting to change up my bank fishing approach and this came out just in time!
I'm glad to hear that man. I hope the ideas help!

I'm glad these type of vids can help! Thanks for watching 👊
I love these types of videos, along with the fishing ones. It's great to have multiple thoughts and opinions, brings me options I wouldn't have thought of.

Really like the tip you gave us a while ago on keeping your thumb on the spool when you get a backlash in mid air, it has saved me from a couple really bad birdnests, thanks for all the tips you give me and other people out there!!👍
I'm glad that tip helped! Training the thumb like that will really save you! Tight lines 👊
Professor Debo with another great class! It’s really cool how you breakdown lures you like to use in a dedicated video. Hope you start crushing the summer bass fishing!!

I love the fishing videos too, but these "tackle talks" are sooooo useful to me as a bank angler! Keep em coming DEBO
I've had a lot of people message me and say that. I love doing them so I'll try to incorporate more! I could talk tackle ALL DAY!
Reaction Innovations where you at?! Get this man a sponsorship!
Hahah man...that would be awesome. I don't catch enough big fish for a sponsor like that...💁♂️
Great video! Enjoy hearing what your picks are and the rod/reel combos.
Keep these videos coming. Your knowledge is most valuable. Thanks for the knowledge and entertainment!!!!
I'm trying to do what I can to help. Thanks for watching 👊
Keep up the good work! You have given such good advice to those of us who are working hard from the banks! Thank you for sharing your tips and experiences with us to help us all become better feesers!
Please keep doing these type of videos! It really helps me and the family out to be able to try things we have not thought of. I'm sure even the experienced anglers will pick up something from these, no one knows it all! thank you!
Love the vid. In between boats and always good to get refresh on most current effective baits

Debo you taught me the importance of a follow up bait a year back and I've lost count of how many frog fish I've caught on the follow up with a senko. You the best!
That follow up is the deal! Thanks for watching man 👊👊👊
Love your videos, very informative and helpful for beginners like me!
You have helped me so much deebs, so grateful 🙏 to you and dizzle

Holy cow what a great video! Just killing it
I really enjoy this type of video it helps me to decide on what type of bait and combo to bring with me ,I almost always take 3 casting combo and 1 spinning combo so great video keep up great work.
Thank you for your videos. I have not gone fishing yet, but I plan to soon. Your videos have made me more confident in my preparation.
I really like the fact that you take the time to respond to comments. It shows your character. This was an excellent and very informative video. I am a bank fisherman and my "go to" is a 5" watermelon senko weightless Texas rig...they cast a mile and sink so slow. I'm going to give the frog some more time going forward. Thanks for the video. Tight lines!
Great video, as usual. Got my first Frog fish a few weeks ago and now I'm hooked! I just picked up a few scumfrogs and a popping perch today solely based on your recommendations. Thanks for all the insights and info. I watch you so often even my wife knows your voice and asks, " Oh boy, another Debo video?"
Much love and tight lines brother.
That's awesome man! That firat frog fish is a rush! I'm glad my vids have helped 👊👊👊

I like that dog analogy. Makes sense
Thanks for the shout out! Love the video! I’m gonna try a few tips this weekend while I am up in Wisconsin fishing. I would love to see a detailed Texas Rig video. I hear a lot about pegging your lures but I don’t know how to do it and there aren’t a ton of good how to videos on the net. Keep up the great videos!
The thanks goes all to you for watching and supporting! I can certainly do a texas rig vid. They are one of my confidence baits!
I really enjoy the informative vids. Thanks for the content.
Thanks for watching 👊

Rookie angler here, and dang this vid was super helpful! Well really all your vids are. Can’t wait to get out there and put all these guys to use! Thanks for all the help bro.
Great video. I have been using stick baits all weekend and catching dinks like crazy. First time using them and totally loving it. Thanks so much for the lessons brother you have helped me improve my skills more than a little. I am forever in your debt.
No debts required on this channel. Hearing that my information has helped is thanks enough! Always appreciate you watching, Brian!
Great, great video. Thanks for the detailed information. I like plastic worms and did not know about the picket rocket-can’t wait to try it. Very much appreciate your efforts.
Thanks for watching! Thr pocket rockets are a bit under the radar still...🤫🤣
Excellent video. Love your input always. Keep it up.
Always appreciate you watching my friend 👊
Great video! Like the longer in depth approach! And Yes on a Texas Rig only video. Watched a bunch, but like to see what others are doing! And again, Go Hawkeyes!
I'd be happy to do an all texas rig talk! Thank you for watching 👊
Great as usual . Appreciate your work.
Thank you for watching, Paul!
I really enjoy ALL your videos!!! You seem to answer all my questions, unlike others that only catch 5 pounders, and make sales pitches for their sponsor. I have the Beast Coast miyagi - Dope Gill, THANKS for sharing your experience with it
I would just like to thank you for your channel. Being from PA I’ve always been a trout guy because all I’ve ever had access to was small streams. I went bass fishing for the first time on Monday and used a Texas rig senko with an 1/8thoz bullet weight on my spinning gear using 6lb mono and caught 5 largemouth from the bank in the 1st hour and my kids caught a few on their 5’ ultralight gear. All about a pound or so.
Yesterday we took out a boat and were throwing the same rigs toward the bank with no luck, I went in the other side of the boat and threw towards the middle of the lake and the 2nd cast I hooked one.
I told my kids we have been doing it wrong and my 12 year old throws his right to the same spot and hooked at least a 5lber. I seriously thought his rod would snap in half. Got it to the boat and just as I reached down to grab it he snapped the line.
A pic would have been nice, but his excitement and laughter through the entire fight was better than any pic I could have taken.
I’m now shopping for dedicated bass gear, but it’s nice to know I don’t need $600 rigs to land big fish...just a little stronger line
Where in pa. Im from north east pa and i havent found a decent bass spot around me
That's awesome man, hope you can get back to catch that big fish. The chase is what keeps us coming back!
david miller I was at Big Boulder Lake, but Lake Wallenpaupack os supposed to be a lot better
Thanks for the tips!!
Love these videos DEBO
Appreciate that a lot man!
Awesome stuff Debo. Tackle talks are good. Shows us some different stuff and refreshes some old stuff in our noggins.
Like the follow up stick bait after a missed frog explosion. I ALWAYS forget to do that. Going forward, I’ll always have a weightless senko tied on.
Thanks Debo!
It has worked a lot for me! Appreciate you watching my friend!
you got me throwing the popping perch and i caught my pb and other giants in my ponds that i thought only had debo dinks🤣 appreciate u bro keep up the good content
Hell yeah! That's awesome man! Congrats on the new PB!
I've been waiting for this video! Gonna try those stick baits out. Got my first frog fish a few days ago following your advice from an old video. Thanks Debo!!
That's awesome man! That first frog fish is always a rush! Tight lines and Thanks for watching!
I love fishing stick baits. You can rig them in so many different ways. I caught my pb on a Texas rigged watermelon/pearl stick this passed summer.
20:48 Hahahaha the way your hat lifted up when you raised your eyebrows
Hahaha like a cartoon character 🤣
Thanks been fishing for years but I always need a few tips every once in a while. :)
Caught my PB on a craw last night thanks to my feeshing friend Debo. I'm a rookie an I love all this good advice. Thanks Debo!
That's awesome! Congrats on the new PB! Thanks for watching 👊
I totally love these informative videos!! I would love to see a Texas rig video!! I’m new to bass fishing and using a senko is something I’ve always wanted to try!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I can definitely to a texas rig vid! That's one of my top confidence baits!
Love all the vids man. I am not even a teen yet but I am a daily viewer! keep up the good work!
Thanks for watching 👊
Debo, I love these vids man. I still struggle on "what to throw" so these vids are just awesome
I'd like to do some sort of series like this. Next to locating fish, selecting the right thing can be very confusing!
@@DEBOSFishing Yup I always struggle with that. Sometimes I can see the fish feeding on bait fish but just cant catch them, even if the water is not crystal clear.
Great video as always man... love the tackle talk videos 👊
I could talk tackle all day! Thank you for watching man 👊
DEBO'S Fishing Tackle Junky!!!!
I think these bank fishing videos are super educational and helpful.
Awesome, I really appreciate feedback like that! Thank you for watching 👊
