Tyler, That 12 inch soft plastic purple worms looks like a baby snake to those Bass, that is why they like eating them! I use catch them on Doug Hannon's Original Fishing Snake, was a great lure, but getting hard to find these days.

+Money Bass . Catching big girls off the top is the thing most lure fishermen rave about. Yes the sight of a big angry pike trying to destroy your lure with a lot of head shaking and tail walking certainly gets your heart pumping. If the water is clear
and the take is in veiw, you can see how a pike winds it's body into a loose s shape when it's about to hit the lure. At the same time you see the head flatten out into almost twice it's original size then the body straightens like a spring being released and in a blur it engulfs your lure. You miss out on all those visuals when it's a deeper take. Still fun but not like seeing it happen.

Correct me if I'm wrong but baitcasters u use for crankbaits and top water frogs and occasionally jigs and spinning reels are for a finess approach with soft plastics

No, glow in the dark lures don’t really do anything special. I would suggest a dark lure like a black and blue, because Bass feed based on silhouettes not colors

I have a bass meet Saturday and I went pre fishing and the fish didn't seem to bite in the north or south. I tried in the deep and shallow but only caught 2 bass . I used crank baits, rattle trap and stick baits. And run its close to fall. Am I doing something wrong ?
try to use your electronics to find the shad balls moving into the pockets. there should be bass in those areas

In containers, and then in the containers, I keep them in the plastic bags they come in
Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.

not a fan of top anything videos because that limits the process of figuring out what they want. every hour of every body of water is different. so instead of a top 5, I think a favorite 5 for summer is better
