Sony isn't as shy to go downmarket with Android as HTC used to be, and the Xperia tipo is a proud proof of that strategy. my first phone was Samsung Bada 1.1 and Sony tipo phone was my second, but I can say that even after many years, it works fine, but the android is already old. (Now I have neffos c9 max)

I do have to say that the camera is quite crap. Battery life is awesome, tho. You can go a whole day without charging. But, if you are planning to buy this phone, I think there are better options.

i have this till now with custom rom and it's still going strong!!
i just bought the phone yesterday and i have to say that it is very very exciting.it rarely lags and it's display is the best in class(equaled by explorer though) you can't really expect more than this for 9.5k(single sim) and timescape is NOT at all as bad as i thought! some of their widgets are better than those in htc sense.

bought it today and so far, its amazing
I've had that phone for 2 years (almost 3) and is awesome
Had one for over a year, only use it for calls/texts but it's nice to have chrome if you need internet in a pinch. I put heavier android apps on my tablet and keep this clean and it runs great, I still only need to charge it every 3-4 days. This thing is actually small, Sony's new Z1 compact has a 4.3" screen. 4.3" isn't compact, it's just smaller than what everyone else has. I am going to miss the convenience of having such a small device when I need to upgrade.
in the upper right corner left of the little led light there are 2 holes what are they for ?

Hello, i own this phone and im proud of this. Is a very good smartphone, no lagg on touchscreen, prompt and very good for games (temple run, etc). Some small problems on back cover.
how's the speed? like in htc explorer, youtube and other websites were pretty fast, how's it here?

tipo and mini 2 are both nice, theyre almost have same specs. but the OS of the tipo is ics then the mini 2 is gingerbread but can be upgradedable to ics. so its up to you which would you prefer :)

Well I have Xperia Ray and that is a single-core device like the Tipo with the same RAM as the Tipo and it runs about the same on ICS as it did on Gingerbread. Also, as low as the specs are of the Tipo, it was built around ICS, so it will be optimised well in the device as opposed to if it was gingerbread that was upgradable to ICS. But no budget phone runs flawlessly, so if smoothness matters, then price should probably be less of an issue. After all, you get what you pay for.

depends on your needs, tipo has better specs other and software, but desire c has larger screen which do matter since it is where you are going to interact everytime,.,

Hey, i just got Sony Xperia Tipo and i have a display problem, there is a white line about 1cm from the bottom, it is there all the time and it overlays anything underneath. Im thinking about returning the phone. Does anyone have same problem? Thx
