Cobblestone Farm - NO Hoppers! (Minecraft Java)

- If you want a fast AFK Cobblestone Farm but don't have enough iron to supply the hoppers, this is the build for you. With no hoppers (or hopper minecarts) it will still generate about 7,500 Cobblestone Per Hour into your inventory. Keep in mind that you can only AFK for as long as you have inventory space since no hoppers are being used. If you want a faster AFK cobble farm or a full auto tnt cobble farm that can generate over 235,000 per hour, check the links below.

@@deltashit well I like the idea, you upgrade your sapling in an anvil and it will grow into netherrite wood tree, you cannot use it as netherite, but has the benefits of netherite blocks, cannot be mined by hand or maybe it can idk

I am currently playing on a one block server that although iron is plentiful, they blocked people from making hoppers so the only ones you can get are bought with in game money...far too expensive for early game. This is perfect! Just what i was looking for. My own attempt at making one had me losing cobble to the lava sometimes.

I hate making huge holes in my world for resources, anything that can be renewable from the start is a must have for me but early game it's often out of reach :D
Also it's very easy to add the hoppers later on when you have the iron available.
One thing that I tend to do with my cobble/stone generators is to make the wall behind the block I'll be mining something very strong like obsidian so I don't dig it by mistake.

I found this looking for a generator for my Skyblock that wouldn't lose so much to the Lava that I could use before getting the Iron to make Hoppers.

You can place a trapdoor in a 1x1 space filled with water and close it so the water doesn't spill out from the side. When flowing lava touches the closed waterlogged trapdoor it will create cobblestone, so you can make the farm even smaller!

Could you explain why you need to use signs bottom right instead of just using solid blocks? I understand why you need the signs on the left but not the right.

This farm will help me a lot. I play on a server that a hopper is rare and noncraftebel and i can't find many farms without hoppers

bro i thought about the same design when i started my skyblock world its so useful early game when you dont have iron my design can allow multiple people to mine because early game you use a stone pick not fast enough

is it possible to make a zero loss cobble gen with no pistons, no dispensers, and no hopper minecarts? i have been trying to design a farm like this on a multiplayer server
that tiny one I told you not to build at the start of the video... that... just press up against it and you will collect all the blocks before they get destroyed... but even though it is lossless you will not get as many as this one.
hey eagle, great video. i made this farm exactly how you said but there’s a problem with the lava. when i put it on one of the two blocks you said, say the 3rd block instead of the second. the lava flows like normal except the front block just flows it doesn’t make cobblestone and vice versa when you put it on the second. i hope this makes sense but would i just be able to put 2 source blocks? thanks

You are very goood i wanted an xp farm without mobs you shown that now the cobble farm as i wont able to find a warm ocean biome i cant make the tnt duper cobble farm but now this one is awesome

before f3 + T fill the hotbar with stone pickaxe (or any other) and after starting afk just press the numbers to change hotbar selection
running out of inventory space would be a concern if you did that
could you do a clean stone version for silk touch too?
no... as most of the stone jumps up a bit meaning you lose almost all of it without use the hoppers or hopper minecarts I show in my other videos

This doesn't really work on Bedrock. Relative to the view at time point 2:56, the "frontmost" piece of lava never turns into cobblestone, and if I put lava in both suggested positions, I end up with it burning something like 75% of the cobblestone I mine.

YOOOOOO, I did this yesterday because I wanted something efficient and spent hours teyig to find something good ! Amazing ! Tho I did use hoppers because I wanted to store xp on furnaces, and did not used signs either, since I wasn’t collecting the cobblestone my furnaces were instead

Does this work as well in early game? I.e. if you don't have efficiency V picks?
I think it'll work. If your mining speed is too slow, then the cobblestone will form before you get to mine all four cobblestones. Still, that doesn't hinder the operation of the machine.
You can still use a slower pickaxe to mine. As your gear upgrades, you will eventually get to mine all four at once.

@@EagleEye621 yea, no hoppers. I remember when iron was a huge pain before the village update, since you had to make these massive farms with tons of doors to get an iron farm.
and then the village update came and iron was easier to get than dirt.
Still nice to have a way to get blocks to build your first iron farm :D
I still don't see mass appeal but I guess the numbers will tell the tale

way better... and you could make it stone instead cobble so you can instamine, and move the character back and forth since you can mine way more stone than cobble... if only someone made a video about that :P (check the play list)

How could you use this to mine stone instead of cobblestone
well you need a design where the lava flows onto the water from above, can be made into a similar farm, just has different dimensions and might be slightly harder to make
you can't... the problem with stone is the lava has to be on top and when on top almost all of the stone gets burned in the lava without using hoppers
@@EagleEye621 *almost* all stone, you still get some of it...maybe there will be an item magnet that will atract items in some way

@@EagleEye621 not some "item ontop goes into block"-thing more of a item "gains velocity directed to block"-thing, could be a handheld thing and a block, so you hold it in offhand and item pickup reach and speed is buffed

or build my full auto cobble farm and get 235k+ per hour while just standing back and watching :)

ez I'm gonna use my 20 slaves to each chunk load 6 of the full auto cobble farms so 20x6x235k = 28,2 MILLION COBBLESTONE PER HOUR...
