Question, I've built several of the crop farms with no problem. Latest, built right next to another working farm, the water washes out when flip the lever EXCEPT to the corners of the field. Everything about the two fields is identical except I don't have my walls up completely on the 2nd one yet in case I had issues that needed fixed.
More efficient to make mega spruce trees. You can grow them stacked next to each other. A bubble elevator is ideal, but since this is a starter farm, you can make a long ladder to get to the top and chop downwards.
If you are talking about the tree farm, I had the same problem. Extending the flowing chute (5 blocks instead of 3) actually helped with items not being stuck under the trap door, I guess because there is more water flow? Also adding a block of ice under the block where the trapdoor would probably help but I have just started a new game and I don't have silk touch yet...
On the wood farm, the items get stuck under the trapdoor that has a grass block on it. This is happening in both Bedrock and Java. Also, after a couple of times mining the cobblestone, the lava overran the water, creating a lava column in place of the stone.
For cob farms, ye they kinda useless. But for the wood unless your in a forest you aren't gonna want to go out to look for the right kinda trees for your base.

Dude I love the crop one. So simple. I've been so stupid when it comes to getting breeders and things right (Bedrock, I blame that haha), but I'm excited to try these. I think the kiddo will enjoy doing the crop one when they're grown. Edit: as I'm reading the comments, I'm feeling bummed out now. These are listed in the Bedrock playlist, assuming they should work for Bedrock edition, but it's not seeming that way. This is all fairly recent too. What is the purpose of placing these in the Bedrock folder in your playlist if they won't work with certain aspects (one major one being water placement on/in certain items in Java versus Bedrock)? I'm genuinely curious what your feedback on fixing some of these issues on Bedrock would be, as some of these lose their spark if they can't be properly used on that version.
Put a block in front of it then flip the switch and there’s your middle block put 3 blocks beside it like he did make it 2 blocks high and put a block above the wooden part of the sticky piston and then your water flip the lever on and off and it should work. ( sorry I put separate comments I had to look on how I did it and yea hope this helps! 😁 ❤️
Yeah it sucks. I spent about an hour building all this stuff, then i had to improvise and kinda rig some things to get the farms to work half decently lol
Update: things also get stuck in the trap door and some people are saying i’ll need packed ice to fix that, which requires silk touch. This build overall just sucks for bedrock players :( wish he mentioned it before i did it
I just built the tree farm in java 1.16 and I had to remove the slabs above the trees because they were not growing, but overall I am happy with the farm. Thank you for this tutorial! =)
Instead of a "cobblestone farm" I just measure out a 25x25 square in the ground and dig it down to bedrock. Once I hit Y-5 I then expand it to a 50x50 hole and sometimes a 100x100 hole. Not only do you accumulate cobble by the tens of thousands but you also end up with hundreds if not thousands of a bunch of other materials like iron, coal, gold, lapis, diamonds and obsidian. Its also really time consuming with is really good if your bored or wanting a long term goal for your survival worlds. Edit: a small 15x15 hole alone will get you at least 20,000(ish) cobblestone.
I put markers around my house. North south west and east. Every 20 blocks out put a stack of 4 cobble stone. The further you go just put more stacks out. Yhen you just look for the stacks.
If you are having the same issue with the farm farm as i am where some of the items get stuck at 11:49 you can fix it by replacing the block below the trapdoor with an ice block. items slide on the ice and no longer get stuck there. Java Edition
Use a dispenser instead of a trap door on bedrock because the trap door will flood from the water Edit: all credit goes to nebula one of the earlier commenters. I just wanted to share this with you.
nice vid Really like this starter farms My first thuoght of the cobblestone Farm is Skyblock and I bet the main purpose of it in the vid but still useful
I’m currently trying your water Farm idea and the water keeps going through the trap door making the lever useless did they update it recently to where this farm doesn’t work anymore?
ok i might have a dumb question, but is it just a crop (carrot, potatoe, beet, etc.) farm or you can put stuff like wheat too? If it's an all crop, some of my seeds and wheat get stuck at the first trap door. And i'm on java edition 1.16.5 if it can help
Hmm, my crop farm doesn't seem to work properly. I followed all steps but the water in the center flows regardless of whether the trap door is open or closed, and everything that gets pushed by the water stops at the trapdoor near the center of the farm. Any way to fix these issues?
This only works on the Java version, but there is a work around though. Skip the water bucket and trap door near the middle. Then put ice blocks as the floor to bridge the gap to your collection area. This will let the crops slide in, instead of the water pushing them to the middle
for bedrock players Put dispenser pointing down with water bucket in it and keep leaver where it is also where the crops come up in that 1 spot he put trap door use an ice block so it will slide

When I place the trap door at the middle the water goes through weather it’s open or closed?? On bedrock edition
Exactly
@@randomvirus6747 I thought it was supposed to not go through when it’s closed? That’s why you use the lever?
@@NotCFilmProduction I’ve had the same issue. This may be Java specific. Idk, tryna find another way to hold the water. Lmk if u get anywhere.
Have the same issue. Still works for every thing else .
Greetings from malaysia, i love all your tutorial redstone video, especially tutorial tuesday, I can't miss any videos since then, keep up your good work...
Great tree and crop farm design super clever
Question, I've built several of the crop farms with no problem. Latest, built right next to another working farm, the water washes out when flip the lever EXCEPT to the corners of the field. Everything about the two fields is identical except I don't have my walls up completely on the 2nd one yet in case I had issues that needed fixed.
Who else is doing after they finished the game and just can’t be bothered to build the advanced ones xD
More efficient to make mega spruce trees. You can grow them stacked next to each other. A bubble elevator is ideal, but since this is a starter farm, you can make a long ladder to get to the top and chop downwards.
@CraftyCraft Get a life dude. Chapman doesn't need you white knighting his comment section.
Can someone help me. When I did it, the crops got stuck under the trapped door and idk how to fix it
If you are talking about the tree farm, I had the same problem.
Thank you Chapman!! Ive been struggling with finding a reliable cobblestone generator!!!!
For the people in bedrock edition use a dispenser pointing down with water bucket in it and keep the leaver were it is
My water keeps falling through the trapdoor with the lever. Also all the crops get stuck in the underground trapdoor
The crop one is actually brilliant good job mate
The 3rd farm dose.t work i tried putting the trap door then water on top with lever and the water goes right through the trapdoor
are you on bedrock cz i tried it too and it did the same thing
For people on Bedrock use a Dispenser and put a water bucket in it and put the lever on top of the Dispenser
Thank you so much for that! It works finally 😁
What’s the point of the cob and wood farm just go mine or chop down trees
my man out here having never deforested an entire continent on accident?
For cob farms, ye they kinda useless. But for the wood unless your in a forest you aren't gonna want to go out to look for the right kinda trees for your base.
@@fungalwater3175 I mean idk I just grab saplings of different trees that don’t grow in my area and I always make sure to plant them back after chopping them down idk why build a designated area for it it’s just unnecessary in my opinion
@@Yashhaa tru
I cant place water on top of the trap door without it falling through
Make sure the trapdoor is placed on the bottom half of the block
@@stevenwjg03 I'm on bedrock. Does that make difference?
@@jakebakethatcake7156 I'm not sure, I would have to build this contraption myself but the trapdoor should work across all platfroms and btw I'm also on bedrock
I have the same problem and the crops get stuck at the trapdoor under the farm (also bedrock)
@@dmjofus2120 same. Not all crops make it to me
I love that he does it in survival
I have a solution for u
When building to the middle place one slab then a sticky piston then put a lever above it then
Put a block in front of it then flip the switch and there’s your middle block put 3 blocks beside it like he did make it 2 blocks high and put a block above the wooden part of the sticky piston and then your water flip the lever on and off and it should work.
This build overall just sucks for bedrock players :( wish he mentioned it before i did it
It's video's like these that inspire me to just play without mods for a change 🤣❤
I’m following along but i am cracking up 😂 love the humorous moments
These are the perfect level of beginner for me!
When his stone axe was breaking it looked funny
When I place the final water on to of the middle trap door it falls through, no matter if I place the lever before or after. Any help?
Instead just use sticky piston w/ a block and put a lever where the water should flow , it’s an alternative
@@Rvera_ just need to find slime now haha thanks buddy
Had the same problem and i used a dispenser with a button instead of lever
Vlad Moldovan life saver 💯
I just built the tree farm in java 1.16 and I had to remove the slabs above the trees because they were not growing, but overall I am happy with the farm. Thank you for this tutorial! =)
what is the point of the tree farm tho? wont the items just fall on the pit instead of the water?
uhm, keeping your axe in an item frame is a really useful tip. Thanks.
Whenever I place the water on the trapdoor with the lever, the water just flows through the trapdoor (yes it's closed) any idea what I'm doing wrong?
Bedrock?
Same here!
The trapdoors sometimes doesn't let the items flow through. But I fixed that by using blue ice and signs instead. On PC - Java edition.
The stone/cobble farm, you can just waterlog some stairs and shrink the footprint of the farm a little. Drop the slabs off the back that way.
Thank you so much this is the second vid of yours I've watched and these will be incredibly helpful when I build them new subscriber
Thanks now I don’t have to roam away from my house and then get lost
I put markers around my house. North south west and east. Every 20 blocks out put a stack of 4 cobble stone. The further you go just put more stacks out. Yhen you just look for the stacks.
@@barrywatts8501 ohhhh I didn’t think of that, pretty clever
Is there a way to make the crop farm bigger or should I just make multiple?
That farm is perfect for my current world! Thanks!
Awesome video man! When I flip the switch I don’t get my seeds from my wheat.. Any idea why?
Thank you so much for the cobblestone farm! 😌
If you are having the same issue with the farm farm as i am where some of the items get stuck at 11:49 you can fix it by replacing the block below the trapdoor with an ice block. items slide on the ice and no longer get stuck there.
Java Edition
works on bedrock too
I am a new player on minecraft and this is extremly helpful. Thank alot man
Does the crop farm work on bedrock edition?
Use a dispenser instead of a trap door on bedrock because the trap door will flood from the water
Edit: all credit goes to nebula one of the earlier commenters. I just wanted to share this with you.
Very nice designs! Especially love the crop farm idea.
DUDE WOW the potato farm was beautiful
Tysm! I new to Minecraft and this rlly helps
Amazing content. One of the best tutorial UA-camrs I’ve watched.
I love your videos and have made the tree and food farm. Thank you!!
man i didnt know you could do that well with a pickaxe at harvesting wood.
nice vid Really like this starter farms My first thuoght of the cobblestone Farm is Skyblock and I bet the main purpose of it in the vid but still useful
Would that first one you did work for obsidian if done with water on tap hitting the lava
I’m currently trying your water Farm idea and the water keeps going through the trap door making the lever useless did they update it recently to where this farm doesn’t work anymore?
I am currently on caves update but i couldnt get the crop farm to work for me
Finally! I was looking for a good crop system, my life is saved
ok i might have a dumb question, but is it just a crop (carrot, potatoe, beet, etc.) farm or you can put stuff like wheat too?
