I love how she explains patterns, especially the "Fiddly bits"
I knit and crochet baby blankets for "First Families Now", the Indian reservation in South Dakota. This is the PERFECT pattern. I am using a warm, soft, superwash wool. It's coming out just lovely!!! Thank you so very much!!!! YOU are wonderful!!!!
What a lovely thing to do. I am so glad you like the tutorial.
Beautiful easy pattern . I made combination of
red sparkle, white sparkle and beige for my granddaughter.
Thanks for sharing ! 😊
Hello, I'd like to crochet blankets for First Families Now. Would you be able to guide me through this process? I'll be available to start in about 2 weeks.
@@iraperrot I hope you received my reply. If not, please let me know.
@@normamurphy2827 I did not get your reply. Could you message me thru FB please? Thank you
This pattern is incredible for me a beginner to learn…please post more I completely understand how you explain and it’s easy to replicate and I wish there was more
I haven't worked this pattern in a long time. Thank you for the refresher. I'm working on lapgans for our senior center and wanted something cozy, warm, and had nice texture. You can't beat the blanket stitch for that.
Yes! These types of blankets are perfect for seniors. The blankets with texture are always a favourite at the nursing home I work in: they love the feel of the "bubbles"!
I’ve just been told I’m going to be a great grandmother. So I want to make the baby boy a blanket. I watched your video. I tried the stitch messed up twice. But I’m gonna keep trying because I like this stitch. Thank you so much for your soft music your soft voice. Your camera work is very good also. Thank you again.
This is a great video! The music is calming and it's so clear to see what you're doing. Everything is just beautiful ❤️
Thank you so much
Wow! It's so pretty and yet so easy. This is the next baby blanket I'll make. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for sharing really easy and beautiful 😍 I'm making a sample now it turned out amazing!
This is beautiful ❣I'm going to make a scarf!I love this 🥰 Thank you for sharing ❣❤❤❤
Such a easy stitch! It comes out beautifully, thank you!
One of the best crocheting sites !! Many thanks x
Simple but very pretty stitch. Thank you for sharing
Hello Lullaby Lodge Crochet🙂I love this stitch you have shown us. You explain very well. The only thing is it would be less stressful if you could pls lower the background music down to a complete minimum? One has to be be mindful to remember instructions learning new patterns & loud music is a distraction, not help! Of course it also depends on people’s varied choice of music as well. On one YT lady’s craft channel she has a very smooth plush restaurant romantic music playing EVER SO SOFTLY that sets a nice mood without jangling any nerves! I hope you don’t mind my comment. I love to watch tutorials as yours, & this stitch is unexpectedly easy for me being 1/2 blind LOL & wanting to make a baby blanky with this nice bobbly textured stitch without having to make real bobbles! Best wishes x jc Australia 🧶🍎☕️😊
Yes, the music is just a bit too loud for giving instructions.
Thank you. This demonstration was wonderful and I'm excited to do my first baby blanket with the blanket stitch. 🤗
Im making one now, very easy explained and its coming really lovely.
I'm so glad I found this tutorial. I'm making this.

Thanks so much for sharing this tutorial. I have been using this pattern since I first saw it but couldn't remember where I found it. After much searching...bingo!!! Now I can answer everyone asking where to find it. Thanks again!
So glad you are enjoying the tutorial.
I'm doing this one on a baby blanket sort of the same colors just lighter pastels coming along great and I am using Hobby Lobby's I Love this Yarn baby born in Nov -Dec. of 2022 so I wanted something close weaved and soft at the same time.
Beautiful stitch😉
I like this stitch will be making a blanket soon.
Thank you Cheryl I hope you find the tutorial usefull.

Third pattern I'm trying and I have had lots of luck 🎉❤

Just found your site. Fantastic tutorial, thank you!
Love it!!
On my second blanket now for a baby shower.❤❤❤
Hi love the pattern and your 3 coloured blanket looks lovely, would be nice to see a colour change as I’m a beginner xx
Very easy to follow
Love this! Gonna be making it for my niece 🥰 thank you so much for sharing! I’m not sure if you have a video on it (I’ll go look) but could you show how you bordered it?? 😁
Hi, sorry I don't currently have a video for the border, but if you follow the link to the blog post, you will find a link to the full pattern page which has the border pattern.
@@LullabyLodge oh! Awesome I’ll go check it out thank you!!
im using that exact yarn (as per pattern) but the recommended hook size (again, as per pattern) is a 6.00 mm (J). I understand the yarn company recommends 4-5mm hooks but my garment (sweater) is designed to be drapey. I love the design but I'm having a hard time making complex stitches w the 6mm hook.
should I rewrite the pattern w more stitches and just use a smaller hook? It won't be drapery that way will it? it's the first time I've used this yarn.
thanks for the video.🙋
Newbie #308 😊💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼awesome video 😉
Thanks so much Nancy
Thank you for sharing this lovely tutorial with us. I love the delicate stitch. It appears to be a rather dense stitch and therefore would be warm for a baby. I love it! ❤️
I made a lap blanket using your tutorial and it came out beautifully. Can you please help me with a border idea or some way to add decorative ends to my blanket? I would really appreciate it!❤ Thank you.
çok güzel bir örnek
Love your color choice. What size is your original blanket?
Thanks for video 😅
Would you recommend this stitch using Bernard Blanket size yarn with an 8 mm hook and, will it have holes in it ?
Its so beatifull this stich you do good good job i love this stich .I would like to know if your videos are for numbers to can find faster end the name of this stich thank you so much for you time
I'm a super newbie at crocheting. Hoping you are able to help! Lets say I chain 15 + 1. When my row is completed should I be ending up with 16 stitches? Or should I be getting another number?
You start by working into the 4th chain from the hook, this means the the previous 3 chains are counting as your first double crochet. So if you started with 16 chains (15+1) you would end up with 13 stitches. Hope that makes sense...
@@LullabyLodge Yes it does. Thank you!
Can you do a video on the Diana Rachael granny square. I have trouble understanding written instructions
I would love to have videos of all my patterns. One day I will find the time.
Hi love the demo of the pattern but couldn't find the pattern on the sites listed can you tell me how to get it.
Is it possible to do this crochet stitch starting off with a granny square?
What kind of border would you suggest.
I imagine that you are very busy and I'm going to ask again in hopes that you have time to respond. What border would you recommende for this blanket? I made a blanket for my sister following your turoria, and it is gorgeous, if I do say so myself, but I think a border would make it even better. Please help. Thank you. :)
can I use a chunky #5 also?? TIA
Yes, just be sure to use a bigger hook also, 6-7 mm should be good.
Thank u so much for this tutorial..can u plz show the border.unfortunately I am not able to check it 😂old mama
would this work with size 6 yarn?
Can I ask how many stitches would you recommend doing for a baby blanket
I tried a medium 4 yarn size 5.0m hook and did a 123+1 and it’s 27 inches long
BELLO
I know the wool is called Slyle craft Aran is the wool is the wool tihin or
or a thicker.
The yarn weight is Aran, if you require any further info please check the blog post listed in the description box...
Hi, do you have a video or pattern for the edging?
How many scans of yarn for blanket.
Is there a written pattern to download?
Is the border a mix of sc and hdc’s?
I used a shell border for the blanket shown. You can find the video tutorial here - ua-cam.com/video/5qejnO-oOVA/v-deo.html. You may need to adjust it a bit and work into the spaces the blanket stitch pattern makes (I did not add a single crochet round first for that blanket). Thanks for watching...
I crotchet for the deserving
Music too loud
I loved the profil Pic of the blanket. After following your pattern it did not come out looking like the blanket in your profile
What border do you recommend for this stitch? I have just finished the blanket 😍
Hello. I want to make this. Bit I
Learned multiple of three. No extra stitch. None of that. So what do I do. Thank you.
For this stitch just follow the instructions in the video, multiple of 3 +1
Please show how you join each colour wool.
me too
Can you make a beanie with this stitch.?
What sort o border would you put on this blanket
You can leave it without or make a simple single crochet border. The blanket in the video has a shell edging which you can find a tutorial for here... www.lullabylodge.com/2019/04/sweet-dreams-baby-blanket-free-crochet.html
How many stitches for a blanket
Do you have a tutorial on how to Make the border for this?
Same question did you end up finding a border of this stitch.
I’ve tried this twice and each time my first row ends in 5 chains left instead of 3. Any idea what I’m doing wrong?
It’s a 3+1 pattern so your starting chain needs to be able to be divided by 3 so if you want a 137 chain for a 30 inch on a 5m hook weight 4 yarn add 2 chain after you count to the 137.
ch multiple of 3 +1 to preference
dc into 4th chain
skip 2
sc + 2dc into 3rd ch
repeat until end of row 1
end on sc in last ch
ch3 and turn
dc into 1st st
skip 2
sc + 2dc into 3rd
repeat until end of row 2
end on sc
repeat until rsavhed oreferred length
Thank you so much for taking the time to save me frustration. The pattern is easy and well presented but I must have a piece of paper to rely on. You are the greatest!
Can that pattern be used with bernat baby blanket yarn?
Yes, it would come out really thick and chunky.
@@LullabyLodge thankyou
Im new to crochet. Whats the name of this stitch?
Is there a way to add a boarder around this blanket?
There should be a link to the pattern page in the description box.
Why does my project curl?
Is there any way you can do this without the background noise I can hear you
it is difficult when trying to learn a new task, esp if the learner is not experienced in the field, if distractions are introduced. the music is lovely but you don't need it, your voice is beautiful. please consider this. We want to hear you.
I totally agree with you, very annoying
Does anyone know a video where they go a lil bit slower? Most of them go really fast and its hard to keep up and see how it is done 😅😅
I would like help on colour changes please
weave in ends, sounds so simple, being an openwork pattern, don't want to mess it up.
I can try to help here on your last chain before you chain 3 you should have 2 loops on your hook don’t finish it with the old color slide on the new color and then do your chain 3
This is why it's been 30 years since I crocheted.. they're faster. Looks neater... I grip mine to tight. If I don't looks messy. Not like that
..but you don't show how to join in a new colour...... :-(
I found the music very annoying. Sorry. Like he pattern. Good brisk teacher.
I can’t concentrate, the music is too loud!!’
Porque não põe embaixo nossa lingua
The music is too distracting!
Had to watch it on mute - the music was killing me.
One more row would have been nice. And the music is a big turn-off for me. Just saying.
