Dan, this is extraordinary, unique work. I love the effect of paint on the grid, adding so much depth, all these lines, white and dark at the same time, it's a symphony. Thank you!
Thank you for your all at once very informative, revealing, and calming videos. The music was really lovely. I am delighted to have an idea of what to do with my 3Doodler pen that I bought when they were on Kickstarter. Thanks!! This reminded me of Dubuffet's painting, Paysage, 1944. Your work also confirms why I love textiles. 😊
Above all, Dan. I am learning, believe it or not, restraint. I want 34 colors and you remind me 2 colors might be totally enough 😀. Thank you sir. I am recovering my love of art.
Yes that is a good lesson to learn, I always try colour combinations on scrap paper first and the more you begin to add the less the composition works, just get the balance right and you will be fine.
I came here from a Gerda Lipski video. Your 3D pen texture grid is intriguing and provides much food for thought and inspiration. Love the results you achieved. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful and haunting. Your work with the 3D pen is distinctively your own. Mine is a mess, but I have only tried it a couple of times. I may work up the courage to try it again.
I love the energy of your work, how vigorously you engage with your material! A recording of Jackson Pollack dancing around a canvas on his studio floor comes to mind - it's entracing! Sometime maybe record so you're in full view, please. Your recordings are beyond mere instructional. They document you creating your art.
Thanks very much for your positive feedback. I do intend to film some large scale pieces so this would show how to create on a larger scale and it is interesting to see artists working.
Another brilliant idea, video and piece of art. When I was a kid we made string and glue pictures. They looked similar in construction. Not nearly as wonderful in scale and design. Man I’m old.
This is lovely Dan. It has a wonderful sense of movement happening in free space. I like the placement of a frame over it, it helps to define the image space. Years ago, when I had my first exhibition, I was truly amazed at just how much better my images looked, once they were framed. It was a surprise to me. Perhaps you could do the same for one or two of your images from now on, if you have the right frame?
Thanks for the feedback, I always forget about the importance of the frame or how the finished work can be displayed. I think it would be a good idea to devote a video to the framing and mounting of finished artwork, taking some of the pieces from past demos and finding a suitable frame. I had a good response to the demo of a recycled charity shop frame, so it would be worth doing more of those.
Mr Tirels, I have been watching your work on line for a while, and as a print maker, I have made many connections with my work and yours, primarily our respect for texture. I have some thoughts on the use of this particular type of stencil. I have an idea. If you had accesses to a press, soaking a lovey arches paper for five min. then running the stencil over the paper, so that it leaves an emboss, let dry, then applying ink or oils would be interesting. Perhaps this would be too complex a process for you but it is just a thought. Thank you for this video.
You probably dont give a shit but if you are stoned like me atm you can stream all the latest movies on InstaFlixxer. Have been watching with my girlfriend for the last weeks :)
This is fantastic! Thank you so much for sharing ❤. May I ask what you used to attach the grid to the paper at the end? I can't thank you enough for sharing, I always find your art so inspiring!!!
Highly creative and adaptable for all levels. Music you choose adds such a focused and meditative atmosphere 🌹☕️
Thank you very much!
This use of a 3D pen overlay is phenomenal! Truly amazing idea. Thank you for sharing this.
A vase of flowers hmmm! beautiful 😎😎😎
Thank you! Cheers!
So alive, dynamic and beautiful - without the shadowbox. Then exquisite inside the shadowbox!
Thanks very much.
You are brilliant - one of a kind!

Thanks, this was an experiment but I think I will try some more.

I found watching you make your unique art with that particular background music very relaxing. Thank you.

Thank you, I really like working with the 3d pen and will be filming more videos with this process.
@@DanTirels Great! Look forward to seeing more. I'm subscribing.
Love the grid. 😁💕🎨✨Bethlehem PA🇺🇸
Love your black and white work. It has a very graphic quality to it.
Hi Dan. Thank you so much for this video. Wonderful! Absolutely superb! Such an encouragement and an inspiration. A great finished painting. :)
Thank you
Love your art and you inspire me a lot!! Thanx for all the videos🥰
it is really with these two colors that you get the most beautiful results. I really like that
Thanks Dan I appreciate and like your work a lot. You out did yourself.

It does take practice so don't give up. Thanks for your positive comments and good luck with your work.
Im obsessed❤️🍀
I see so many things already during watching ones. ❤️❤️

Very nice art...🙂🖼🧑🏻🎨
You made your own stencil using a 3D pen! Very nice Dan😊
Fantastic.
Thanks, and stay safe...from NY
Thanks, and you too,
Preciosos , IMO Esta hecho a plantilla Dan
Existe en España ese tipo de óleo?
Gracias
Estoy seguro de que esta pintura estará disponible en España, pero puede solicitarla en línea en ebay.

Thank you! Cheers! It is always useful to experiment, I always think you can create art from many things, and it's always good to recycle if you can.
Thanks, Dan

Very cool, Dan. I must admit that I didn’t really care for the 3D pen sculptures, but this "Template" is awesome. Gotta have one of those 3D pens. 😊

@Alijah Adonis Yup, I've been watching on Instaflixxer for since december myself :D
This is fantastic! Thank you so much for sharing ❤. May I ask what you used to attach the grid to the paper at the end? I can't thank you enough for sharing, I always find your art so inspiring!!!
I will use a type of resin to fix the grid to the paper. I will post updated photos on my Facebook page.
What is that wonderful piece of “Fabric”? Love this!
I made this structure using a 3d pen.
I felt like you had made it, but hadn’t thought of a 3D pen. Very cool!
What is a 3D pen?
Dear Dan, what kind of paper do you use as support?
I've notice the paper do not wrink when water is applied...
I am using a heavyweight cartridge paper 200gsm but NO WATER was used for this only use oil paint. The rag you see me use is completely dry.
Dan Tirels thanks for your answer. I really enjoy your videos. Your work is inspiring.
Where did you get this grid or made?
I made the grid with a 3d pen but unfortunately I this wasn't filmed. I may try this again on something smaller to show the whole process.
@@DanTirels I have no 3d pen. How to replace it with anything else? Any idea
Really cool. I suppose one could make the 'mesh' out of a glue gun?
I suppose that would work, I keep meaning to buy a glue gun so I will give this a try and maybe film a demo.
Evocatively interesting behind bars
