I know this one is very long, and very technical, and goes into all sorts of peculiarities that you personally might not be interested in. Feel free to disregard it and come back for the next one. However, if you are really interested in improving your pronunciation and if you are ready to go the extra mile, I think you might find this one interesting. Enjoy!

Thank you Anna!

Thank you so much. Have a nice Day 👍
Very useful video. ❤❤
Hello Inna, please, we need more videos about pronunciation, and about The English language.
Thanks a lot for the video. I’ve seen a lot of videos about shadowing which would kind of tell you what to do but I always felt that I didn’t get what they meant exactly. This is the first one that actually shows the whole process. Great stuff!
❤
Thank you!
I prefer podcasts for English learners, many of them have scripts and video versions as well. Also, I like their language because they simplify it.
Anyway thanks for the video.
This is useful for speaking practices
Could you please recommend contents, series in british english? Thanks in advance and thanks for your amazing channel!
Well, I personally am a fan of An Idiot Abroad, After Life, Ted Lasso, Good Omens. Off the top of my head
Hi Inna! If you are learning Spanish, try to no magnify/exaggerate the S sound with the Z sound like Spanish people of certain regions of Spain. You heard them and its as if the sound of the S doesn't exist in their speech. They replace every S and some C with Z sound and its weird. Well, its funny first, but it becomes weird after a while
love
8:00 Hi Inna, great video.
I don't think "long vowels" and "short vowels" actually have anything to do with length. Long e (ē) is short or long depending on other factors (usually stress, and whether the following consonant is voiced or unvoiced). It can be brief, as in "Pete," or lengthened, as in "peel." Short e (ĕ) can be brief, as in "pet," or lengthened, as in "pell."
I'm American, so I know length in vowels can be a bit different in my accent than yours. Even so, I think my point stands - "long" and "short" vowels are misnomers.
Thank you for your comment! I know that. The phenomenon you're talking about is called 'clipped vowels' - the shortening of all vowels before unvoiced consonants. But that's not something I'd be able to explain in this video and it was not the point of this video anyway. On top of that, imo most English learners, unless they're very advanced and/or linguists or language teachers, don't benefit from lessons/videos where all of the smallest peculiarities are explained at once. I'm not saying that's how everyone else should do it, but that's my approach. When I explain what shadowing is, I cannot possibly also explain every pronunciation rule there is, so I resort to simple explanations (even though slightly incorrect or, better, incomplete) rather than overcomplicate the lesson and make it incomprehensible.

Hi
Так как мое ухо не сльішит половину английских звуков то... к счастью :) современная молодеж вьіросшая в етом всем, будет сльішать звуки прекрасно :)
What's the practical reason for having such a very British-like sounding accent?
that's for each individual to decide.
@@starlight8452 I was interested in others' opinions, especially the one of the channel host.
i love the gentleness and preciseness of the british accent if that even makes sense
@@Anton_Sh. then you should have addressed her directly or stated that. your questions seemed to have a different tone.
@@starlight8452 I don't know what "tone" you are talking about, but my question is open and addressed to anyone, including her.
Oh my, you look much more German now

thank you but worst comment ever
@@innainenglish why? the mic is bad
@@jdoe4548 you're watching my content, for free, you're not paying me anything. I don't even monetise my videos - there are no paid promotions and if you see any ads, that's UA-cam, not me. So, again, you're watching my videos, for free, and then the only thing you say is that the mic is bad. If you don't like my content, then why does it matter to you anyway? If you like it, why not say a few nice words? Why not text me personally and ask if I need suggestions about what mic I should buy? Oh the content creator's desperation to see everyone behaving politely and respectfully towards them. Well, I've wanted to say what I said above to someone like you for a long time. Now I did and if you don't agree I'm right, at least I tried haha. Now I'll keep ignoring comments like yours, like I always do.
@@innainenglish I just wanted you to improve, take it easy. I said thank you to express to you that I liked your content
