I think I replied to this earlier when you asked us in our previous videos. Anyway, it depends on how realistic or how detailed you want to make your scene. You can create three objects, one head, one body, and one body with head together. Initially display the body with head. When the sword passes through the neck section, you need to display the two individual parts hiding the original body. With suitable tilting of the head and with a spray of blood, you can make it more realistic.
@@pioneerguru2.052 You can use fluid simulation for blood spray. For better effect, use a high initial velocity and add some randomness on the direction through F-curve Noise modifier.
Yes, true. Only subdivisions can smooth out a surface. But subdivisions do not always render correctly. So this tutorial is about that part. I think we should have clarified it better, your point is very valid.
Hi, it should work - it's a basic stuff in Blender. As a beginner, we may miss out something very obvious and then wonder why something is not working. May I know what kind of object are you trying to smooth out? Is it a cylinder, or a cone, or something else?

@@5MinutesBlender hahaha I love the random questions being asked.
That’s only for rendering. It doesn’t actually smooth the surface.

Why must Blender be so bafflingly arcane? You need an IQ of 150+ just to know what the buttons do.
