I could only do the first one. The second hair doo is too complicated with that donut. The last one isn't for really round small faces like mines. The turban look is more for elongated faces. :(
Maybe that's the real reason they liked those brooches. Especially since the other side was behaving. Just grab a brooch with a nautical theme and pin the danged thing back. Take that, you misbehaving collar!
Thank you for this. I watch your videos for my own enjoyment, but my daughter has a cowlick in front and she was feeling really depressed that she couldn't get a fringe. I showed her this video and now she loves her hair. We just tried the snail and she is so happy. Thank you!
Yay! I was excited to see a new video from you! I tend to do these hairstyles on "lazy" days too. They are certainly are a lifesaver when I don't have a lot of time to do my hair.
The second look (the one with the cut open hair donut) is like the fancier version of an ancient Greek hairstyle that Janet Stephens covered on her channel! The main difference is that instead of doing the front separately and using the donut, you tie a headband around and just tuck everything into that. It's basically the quickest/easiest thing on her channel, takes like 60 seconds tops, and the only one I can do with my thin/medium-short hair haha (and it's actually what my hair's in right now). Idk it's just amazing that even as hairstyling changes radically, we still like some of the same basic looks 2000 years apart. HISTORY.
A big barrel roll in the front with the rest of my hair in a scarf or in a ponytail with a scarf is my go to easy hairstyle. It takes no time and gives that vintage flair.
You are so hilarious. You were cracking me up and your camera auto focusing had me laughing even more. It sounds like you have a pet chipmunk bitching in the background.
I absolutely love every single one of your videos that I have seen. Your sense of humor and your willingness to make fun of yourself is so refreshing. I have learned a lot from you as well. I have forgotten to "like" some of the ones I have watched, i am sorry about that. I wanted you to know that you have profiled a very welcome diversion during this self quarantine. Thank you!
Yeah, I think it's worth setting camera to manual focus for a video where you're going to be moving around a lot. It sounds like there's a hamster scurrying around in my ears!
she:,,...backcomb your hair..." me: has pretty long hair (tips are lower than my waist) , that tangles easily and it takes forever to comb it me: ,,NEVER"
I usually dress like an absolute ruffian, honestly. I have a mullet, I wear tshirts and cheap hareem pants usually, or shitty dungarees. Karolina's videos are kind of teaching me that maybe if I take more care and time in prepping myself maybe I'll feel kind of more... Put together and like... Precious? Valuable? I dunno. Or maybe I'll stay a ruffian forever
I have a lot of hair but it's very fine. I use those bun donut rats to give it volume in the rolls. Find two slimmer ones and use on the top sides of your head! Works great.
People should send you copies of photos of the women in their family in different eras of dress and hairstyles and you could decorate a wall with these.I love you channel Karolina.
i really want to try some now, but my hair is super long and straight and it doesnt cooperate so it takes me 30 minutes to do a simple ponytail... but anyway, this inspired me thank you :) (edit: sorry that rhymed)
When Claire's Accessories had it's closing down sale (aka the only time I went in there willingly) I found two little kits by Scruncii (I think that's how they stylised it) for Victory Rolls and a Heidi Roll (your second hairstyle) they come with period accurately repro pins/clips etc and the Heidi one has a specialised sausage with a slot for your hair to make rolling it up easier, and little clips preattatched to the ends. The instructions were dead easy too, they've been a lifesaver for incredibly lazy girls like me XD this tutorial is much appreciated, I'm going to have to go turban hunting!
My hair is a bit longer than yours & I tried all of these & WOW! They took no time at all & they all looked lovely even though I'm greying terribly around the edges 🤣
I did not read all of the comments...but if you do the pull through ponytail a lot, you might want to get a ponytail pull through tool. I found them on Ebay for under a dollar.
“Hold tight...hold tight...hold tight hold tight.” Sounded like the butterfly from The Last Unicorn...don’t know if it’s originally from something else
7:09 is just so simple (kinda xD) but soooo gorgeous!! I never thought of using a hair bun for that bottom roll. xD Thanks so much for these! You're hilarious! So beautiful too.
Hair scarfs like hers you can find at thrift stores very frequently. I buy solid colored chiffon hair scarfs on Amazon for a couple dollars each. WalMart also sells traditional paisley printed bandannas in almost every color imaginable, but they also sell ones with others prints, I've found one with pineapples, one with flamingos, and one with cacti there.
I like how these are for "lazy days," yet are much more effort than I have literally ever put into my hair. Ever.
Exactly!!!
Same
You underestimate my laziness, but I enjoyed this attempt.
The twisted ponytail is easy
@@erinb4237 You're overestimating my talent
I could only do the first one. The second hair doo is too complicated with that donut. The last one isn't for really round small faces like mines. The turban look is more for elongated faces. :(
Am I the only one, or has this video actually sound problems. Every time, when it was mute I was like, what happend?! 😂
smiler 4evr Copy right issues, it did used to have sound.
Thank you for your answer. What a shame. 😃
smiler 4evr yea not just you
yeah me too like around 6:07
smiler 4evr nope! Same thing is happening to me whilst watching at this moment
"Normally you'd use a comb to section your hair but ive lost mine so im using my fingers" WE STAN A QUEEN
"Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't" This is the most realistic tutorial I have ever seen
Omg the "My nudes" link in the description. I literally died because I laughed too hard.
what are the chances of you having the same random dog icon as I have had for years?? wtf??
@@ezrapearson7016 thats a fox??
You know what you're not wrong. Ive just had this icon since I was like 11 years old and so it's become a dog in my mind! I'm 19 now!!
@@ezrapearson7016 :))I've also had a fair share of stupid things😂
I'm. Saving. That. RIGHT AWAY.
woah when you middle parted your hair I was like BOOM Anne Hathaway
Thats what i think she looks like but when she parted I was in awe
YOU'RE SO RIGHT
I just hear rabid squirrls doing odd things every once in a while..
Kori Emerson it’s the sound of her camera focusing. since it’s on auto-focus, the lens is trying to re-focus every time she moves
@@spookyalice1418 Thank you !!! I was trying to figure it out . Not being sarcastic
R.I.P the audio
I'm so glad you explained about the auto-focus in the caption. I thought there was a deranged bird loose in my house.
I think the collar is "acting up" because it was designed to be starched, back in the day ; )
Ki Ki - don’t remind me!
Maybe that's the real reason they liked those brooches. Especially since the other side was behaving. Just grab a brooch with a nautical theme and pin the danged thing back. Take that, you misbehaving collar!
Here comes this time again, I see someone and I go like "why cant i be this good looking". Shes so beautiful.
But EVERYONE is beautiful! 🌸🌺

Love the last two styles. I have really long hair and don't plan to cut it short yet so those were fantastic.
I always wondered how they did that scarf around the head style!!!
Girl, that rattling auto-focus!! LOL! Great video though!
Christine Awesomesauce i wondered what the hell that was!
Yeah, I think it's worth setting camera to manual focus for a video where you're going to be moving around a lot. It sounds like there's a hamster scurrying around in my ears!
Alas, you have more hair in your bangs than I do on my whole head. None of these could ever work for me...
I have watched three of your videos so far and I love you! So real, honest and funny. And great content/quality/knowledge!
she:,,...backcomb your hair..."
me: has pretty long hair (tips are lower than my waist) , that tangles easily and it takes forever to comb it
me: ,,NEVER"
Me, who's just terrified of back combing in general: "NEVER!"
Missed you!! Thanks for uploading again :))
I love how you focus on history. You do a good job and it's an underrated topic. History is my favorite.
that moment when i realize i had been doing these vintage styles all my life.

Finnally a retro UA-cam channel
I'm obsessed with your channel, I'm OBSESSEDDDDDDDDD
I get to be extra lazy because my hair is already a wavy/curly bob so I don’t have to do ANYTHING
You never fail to cheer me up! You're so funny xD
the description box tho :D loved the video!
Lazy people?
Hello,it's me...
You're amazing!
These hairstyles are lovely!
My favorite UA-camr ❤
Hi, I'm having some trouble with the audio. To the end of the video it kept on going out. Did anyone else have this?
I believe it’s a copyright thing
You're so awesome, Karolina! You make me laugh and are very helpful.
I really liked this video, I was just starting on retro hair so this was very helpful and not overwhelming to do for me. Thanks

YESSSSSS Thank you so much for this video. Its so helpful!!!
The "Hold tight" song part reminded me of the butterfly from "The Last Unicorn"?
I just tried the third style and I didn't do it perfectly, but I still loved the result!
This video made me question my definition of 'lazy'.
Great hairstyles though! ❤️
I like the way she ignores the squirrel heckling her from the window.
you singing zing! went the string of my heart made me have to listen to the song about twenty times.
This was the cutest, funniest video! Your style is really great. I love it!
The sausage role is such a genious idea!
My hair is a bit longer than yours & I tried all of these & WOW! They took no time at all & they all looked lovely even though I'm greying terribly around the edges 🤣
Omigod! I like Rita Hayworth and listening to you sing 'Put the blame on mame' made me sooooo happy😍💖
I needed to figure out a simple yet stylish look for a 50s musical and this video was very helpful!!
I love the third hairstyle! I never seen Beauty and the beast but I do love those vintage vibes. Also the background music in this video was great
Ive been always loving the vintage looks. Specially hairstyle. U delievered this very well.
I certainly need to try that scaf look
Thank you. I am going to try those haristyles for myself and for my mother who has long hair too.
I love the 2nd hairstyle 😍
My hair is too voluminous to do these type of hairstyles.
My hair is not voluminous enough
I have the same issue, but mainly I have bangs and layers (because I have coarse, wiry, wavy hair). What do you do with them?
I have the opposite problem 😅
Like magic sort of
love your videos thank for sharing the hair stlyes very helpful ~love that you sang a little of put the blame on Mame♡
Youre so cute, that "hi, its me again" was SO CUTE
but your ears are so pretty
8:49 Hold Tight The Andrews Sisters!!! I adore them! ❤️
May the fourth be with you today
Love them all. Andrew Sisters Hold tight song, remember the songs from musicals I've seen. Love the era.
Hey, Andrewssisters *.* Love to hear them on LP
Great video! where did you get the dress/blouse? It looks lovely on you! :)
These are all so pretty! Thank you!
You did them so nicely. Love your videos!
Best tutorial ever. Simple and good ❤ I have just made one 🌼
twisted hairstyle looks like belle
you're making me wanna grow my hair out again
Ahhh I love love love this video and The Proclaimers got me subscribed 😄
1:19 The Proclaimers - 500 Miles
Nice vid :)
I have a question: for the twisted ponytail, once I've done the ponytail do I have to remove the bobby pins or I just leave them there?
Elisa Mondani I would advice leaving them so that the whole thing doesn't fall apart. You can try hiding them underneath your hair :)
Domowa Kostiumologia Thank you :D
Thank u so much. I was searching for that 2 nd look since so long.
I have to do this!!!! It’s too good!!!
Love the description😂😂😂
Love it. So useful and easy. Thank you. Nicely explained. Please do make more!
Hold tight by the Andrews sisters. They are my favorite artists from the 1940s🥰
Karolina please could you do an update video of these Lazy Day hairstyles, with better sound and lighting. We'd really appreciate it ! xxx
You're very talented!
I did not read all of the comments...but if you do the pull through ponytail a lot, you might want to get a ponytail pull through tool. I found them on Ebay for under a dollar.
So Cute!! Did anyone else lose sound at times during the video?
"i would walk 500 miles" ahaha love the proclaimers😂
I'd love to know what lipstick you're wearing in this video, its stunning!
She’s so pretty.
Holy Cannoli how does your hair change part so easily, mine is practically fused into a side part
I know I have pixie hair and nothing to work with but I am still watching this.
