I liked how the modern Castlevanias had remixes of this game's soundtrack. Keeping in mind that its an obscure arcade game, that's nice continuity

Right on time, was writing an article about the "lost" Castlevania games and you upload a new video. Perfect timing, great playthrough as always, I always laughed at his way of walking. Simon looks like he could take a crap in any step he takes with that walking animation.

I would love to see a boss video for Haunted Castle: Revisited. I DID NOT expect it to get a remake. :)
Something about the early low-quality/muffled arcade sounds just makes the game slightly more unsettling...

This is not early version, the first castlevania was in 1986, this is the first arcade game

The golem is Creepier
It got worse when they made it a regular enemy, for CV64 and Legacy of Darkness it was a jumpscare because you had no idea from where would they pop out.

Wow, so it's actually possible to beat the golem without getting hit. Most of the other playthroughs I've seen just tank him.
I’m quite curious about Japanese stock sound effect libraries; I recognize the whip swing sound as Wolverine’s claws in the MVC games

So no one wants to explain to me why he isn't using the Vampire Killer for Dracula? Is the sword an upgrade or something? Am I missing something? The only blades I've seen a Belmont use are axes and knives/daggers.
For some reason the 4th upgrade turns the whip into a sword
