Went with the X93L as of a few weeks ago. My living has tons of natural light. X93L still gives you all you want with the blacks. Sometimes I feel LG and crush the blacks.
Legit pick. I'm actually impressed with the X93L and agree that the blacks look fine on it. And it's a definite go to for rooms with a lot of light. Respect
Environment, Preference, and ultimately….PRICE. I’ve had OLED TVs for the past 8 years…and it’s true, once you go OLED it’s tough to go back. Yet, I’ve recently picked up a… (wait for it)…TCL QM8 and I’m totally impressed with it…for all 2 of your reasons…Environment & Price. Yeah, I do have a preference for OLED…but the aforementioned reasons makes this mini-LED a keeper. So, basement theater for serious watching….77” LG OLED For casual family watching in the bright living-room….Mini-LED. Overall….great video!
Picking wrong isn't that big of a deal when both are fantastic. I sometimes get way too caught up in picking the perfect product, when I'd be super happy with plenty of the ones out there.
First person I’ve seen talk about environment and 100% agree. Replaced a 10 year old QLED with OLED LG C3 because it looks amazing. Main tv in living room is in a bright room with lots of big windows and lights reflecting. Tv looked great at night with lights dimmed or off. After a few weeks I had to return it for a mini LED Samsung. I do think OLED is better but mini LED is no slouch, looks great, and works better for our space. Most people online just say OLED and make changes to the environment instead. Just not worth it so I can have OLED when miniLED pretty close in performance for 99% of people.
I just retired a 10 year old high end VA monitor panel. I transitioned to a 34" Mini-LED with 2304 Dimming zones, which is about the best you can get right now for that particular size. I can't tell the difference at times between it and my OLED. The soft backlight glow that VA panels typically have is gone completely. By the time Mini-Led panels start having 5, 10, 15,000 or more Dimming Zones its going to be hard to beat. Micro-Led is obviously still very long way away, but OLED is just isn't worth the money imho; the reason I say this is because once you buy an OLED you're gonna immediately start wondering when the burn in is going to occur. You also have to change up your use-case habits as well to prevent burn in. I'd rather be worry free.
I own two Sony OLEDs, 55 & 65 inches, love them. They are the best TVs I've ever owned. I now moved to a bigger space and placed an order for a 85'' Mini LED X95L. Both technologies are great. I am not a gamer, I mostly enjoy movie watching on my TVs. Had Sony had the A95L in 83'' that would've been my pick, but they just don't exist yet and I want to stay in the Sony brand.
Hear me out and I hope people read my comment before picking OLED. I’ve had a few OLED sets and every single one of them has had no burn in and no image retention but all have experienced dead pixels all over the screen. OLED is an organic material and it breaks down with every use of the television. It’s kinda like the old Plasma TVs overtime they become dim because the gas particles can no longer be charged as bright. The pixels in OLEDs die from being constantly charged and forced to make light. If you want a tv to last 10 years don’t go with OLED. The picture on OLED is amazing but until they can figure out away to keep the pixels from dying I’d recommend going for a high end QLED set it’ll have a backlight and possibly some blooming but if you get a high end set and not a cheap set the blooming won’t be noticeable and it’ll be brighter making HDR better. Look I also love the blacks of an OLED but the dead pixels is a big turn off. At this point I’d recommend a high quality QLED set.
@@stevanstanojevic3213 if moneys not an issue I’d recommend the Sony Bravia 7 or 9 it’s an QLED set and the blacks are pretty good hardly any blooming at all they are Mini LED sets. If you really want to stick with OLED try the Bravia 8 it’s an OLED from Sony. If cash is tight try the LG C3 the C4 is not much of an upgrade this year the C3 will save you some cash. But just remember all OLEDs will get dead pixels at some point I’d know ive had like 5 already I’m kinda over it lol. I got the Sony Bravia 7 and I’m kinda impressed I’d say the blacks are like 90% it gets very close to an OLED and is much brighter.
for me it comes down to VRR flicker issues. I have tried 3 different OLED monitors and they have all had issues with VRR flicker. It seems like locking it to 120hz alleviates most of this but why would I pay $800+ for a 360hz to then limit it to 120hz for it to work better. I am sticking with my 240hz IPS g-sync ultimate display for now. VRR is a mess on these OLED monitors. For TV I love my OLED but for a monitor it's just not there yet
I bought the Sony A75L over the A80L, $500 cheaper. The picture quality is the exact same as the A80L. The differences are legs, fixed that by getting the OEM legs from A80L, yep, they fit. The speakers are a step down, fixed that with my Sony Soundbar. Built-in microphone with hands-free commands, fixed that by linking an Amazon Echo device to the TV, now have hands-free controls! If you are looking at A80L, do yourself a favor and save $500
I have. 75 in Sony x85j purchased the year it came out. Excellent tv, looking now for my bedroom leaning strongly towards 55” 80L; waiting on a better price especially considering it’s a 2023 model. I’m locked in because I want to experience an OLED.
I personally believe it depends on the person. For instance I have an 8k qn900c television And I just bought the qn900d But that TV arrives cracked. all in all at the end of the day is really up to the person
Please help me here I am stuck ... do I go 32inch 4k mini led or I go qdoled 2k am do use the display for gaming and studying but mostly gaming .. they are both at the same price and I have a 4070ti with can play 4k but not at max... and I have an light friendly environment
Oled and mini led tv i own both, oled have a very good imput lag superior contast, but mini led is more realistic good shadow details, as to this point u cant go wrong with choose any of them.
Right now Oled is the best for me for gaming, playing in an 77" inch Oled display is just Gorgeouus! If you want to dive into A 4k native game (Ps5) oled is the way you must go!
Interesting video. Not sure how I feel after listening to it. Continue to share your content as I watch it as you post it, I am just not one to comment all the time.
Like two or three months ago I bought a Samsung S90C 55in that TV is ridiculous but I really wanted to Sony A90L but I don't have A90L money but the S90C is pretty incredible bro I don't have any complaints on that TV it's got four USB 2.1 it's got a dedicated gaming mode which is ridiculous You can play games right off your TV using a Sony PlayStation 5 controller or an Xbox controller pretty incredible
Its tough one. I had both options so far and do love Oled but i really wanted 8k res so NEO QLED by samsung was my only option lol For monitors phones and the new ipad (which im hyped for it to arrive) always prefer OLED :)
What type of content is available to feed 8K? I would be interested in finding 8k content to feed a 8k screen. 4k content has become more available but still dwarfs 1080p and 720p availability 🥲
I like my TV bright and i don't want burn-in on my TV. So Mini LED TV all the way for me! 💯
Same

Dope video. I'm LG Oled all day. Every TV in my house is a LG Oled. The contrast and black levels win me over every time.
Right. The look of OLED is legit

CJ out here doing the Lord's work.
Not too many tech reviewers care to explain these stuff.Kudos!

I agree they make great TV's. Yeah Mini LED usually has the larger sizes vs OLED.
Does not matter what technology it is. Stand there for 10 minutes watching each and choose the one your eyes feel comfortable. Period!

Which 2023 model would you reccomend? Im in dilema between c3 and s90c, but you are right about longevity and inevitable issues. Maybe tcl c845?

Does miniled suffer the same problems?
absolute right on.. spoke my mind😊
Currently in the challenge between OLED Vs. Mini Led, OLED is better!! But Micro Led will Be better then OLED
No it won't, micro led will not have the same organic look to the image,
@@jesusmarin95 yes it will.
@@Heliosvector how ?
@jesusmarin95 it also won't have burn in

The Aorus QD-OLED monitors I reviewed are advertised as being flicker free and I had no issues with them personally
I need to decide too 🤔 between Oled 4k or Mini Led 8k
That chain is insane CJ! Great video as well.

Yup preference plays a big part. Both are legit
Yup preference plays a big part. Both are legit
To me, there isnt much difference. At least a difference is not noticable. But the blacks can get deep on Oled.
Hey CJ! I picked mini LED (Samsung QN90C as a monitor) because I just didn't want to worry about static content!
Please help me here I am stuck ... do I go 32inch 4k mini led or I go qdoled 2k am do use the display for gaming and studying but mostly gaming .. they are both at the same price and I have a 4070ti with can play 4k but not at max... and I have an light friendly environment
I was wondering when was the next video coming? Are you stepping into the rim of t v's
Every now and then I will cover some TV related tech. Getting heavy into Gaming tech and so on.
This helped A LOT.. Thanks!

Oled
Sony OLED in my house and I love it

Hey man if you don’t mind where’d you purchase that chain it’s sick
oled is nice if u live in a cave...which is a possibility. I dont live in one and i love hdr....oled is not an option for me.

Mini led plus gaming equals huge motion blur
What happened to straight to the point?
