This came through my home page feed here on YT. Still watched it, and still enjoyed it. I like when these older vids come across my feed. Gives me the opportunity to jumpstart my memory on these easy, yet effective transitions!

Man,, you cannot do anything but love this channel! So helpful! Im gonna do my first gig for my friends party this weekend. Not really that much pressure, which feels kinda good. But ive still been practicing for some time to put it genly. And done some "crowd" research as I know who is coming to the party + this channel really gets me hyped when I practice the techniques I thought where so hard for many years!

    • @djcarlo

You did your homework man! Good job, and congratulations on bagging that first gig! Also, don't forget to have fun!

@@djcarlo Thank you! I will, im really hyped haha. Its funny because I was also one of those that thought I needed expensive gear, but turns out that doing basic mixing techniques with my 8 year old simple DDJ controller and serato on my laptop is more than enough to have a lot of fun!

Got a possible format Idee. You could maybe make around 15 min mix just presenting some of your skills and explain them with some subtitles.

i am still using a Numark Mixtrack pro thats almost 6 years old, still looks brand new and everything works like it should, i do have the money to buy an numark N4 or a pioneer ddj 400 but i dont want to. because i've used then a few times, but i just love the big jogwheels and the sturdy design on the mixtrack pro. also, its the nokia of the dj controllers!

I love your videos, and your style of DJ'ing. My question/comment this time is: I'd love to see a video on how to approach or put together a whole set . My guess is that you must do a lot of preparation, and order all your tracks beforehand, while knowing in your mind every single transition that you will do between each of the songs. But not having ever done it before, that is just a guess. I'd love to see a video that gives a formal account of that process, just to know what it looks like. Thanks for sharing your expertise in these brilliant videos!

    • @djcarlo

The same techniques apply, but you'll need to time it a little tighter. What I'd recommend is starting from the first beat of the 2nd track, and hitting play (using the vinyl break) on the first track if that's the case.
