I watched about 20+ videos from a lot of channels for my beginner djing found it difficult. But this guy make it really simple to understand and repeat. Bravo man. Thank you so much.
As a super beginner Dj, transition #1 blew my mind and 2 and 3 just pumped me up and got me even more excited to learn to DJ. Love Crossfader videos; everything is explained extremely well and eases up the anxiety of learning how to do this. Thank you!🙏 💕 #WeAreCrossfader #WeAreCrossfader #WeAreCrossfader
I use all three, but even though my favorite is the third one, I use the echo out more than any other technique. It's quick; it's easy and it gets the job done.
The first one was very useful for me. I didn't realise you had to pull the faders down for the echo to activate on these controllers. Definitely useful to know when I get my DDJ-1000! Thanks Crossfader!
Great video, thanks for the clear demonstrations. I just started learning DJing a couple days ago and I'm having a blast learning/practicing transition 2. Looking forward to trying out transition 3 once I get the hang of number 2.
#WeAreCrossfader . Love your clarity & explanation Jamie - Transition 3 is preferred choice...... & the one I'm now working on that's slowly coming to fruition . Thank you for your expert guidance and highly professional tuition !
@Ryan Toth lol jokes on you ... I did at the club recently last Saturdayand some girl sucked my dick that night!! Lol jk..nah..but someone gave me a tip
@@christ2664 well as a Dj you feel more confident about your skills if you did that but in reality, he's right, the crowd doesn't care. So yea it could be a personal learning experience that you can apply in your future sets to improve yourself as a DJ and you should care less what other people think of you cause they have no idea what are you trying to do.
My favourite transition is mix 3. As the track playing slows down gets the crowd wondering, "whats he gonna play now?". Dope mix. Big shout-out to all the 'Crossfader' massive!
#wearecrossfader #1 transition is useful for quick cuts or mix from cue points #2 is good for open format djs as it utilizes echo location and fade away #3 is my preferred transition that is evenly balanced with tempo range control and 4 beat loops but a bit more complex to learn. Great tutorial and very insightful about bpm, tempo ranges, fader control, counting bars and transitions. 💯
I like all 3 transitions but # I've been trying but not master it as yet. I also would like to see you do some transitions with dancehall and soca genres.
#WeAreCrossfader I’m going to have to go with 2 for it’s simplicity and it’s ability for a beginner DJ to switch genres easily (with some practice of course). I think learning the third transition is the most beneficial because it teaches so many skills at once i.e. tempo adjust, looping, and just learning your music. Thanks for using different controllers in this tutorial as well #WeAreCrossfader
All 3 are good, but my favourite is the second one. Keep like that, I have the Channel as one of my favourites.👏👏👏 I hope to be Lucky by the first time in my life.😉 Cheers from Spain.✋
#WeAreCrossfader So I have two favorites, transition 1 & transition #3. I actually took your beginner's course a couple of weeks ago and I have been using transition 3 quite a lot and it's my absolute favorite! I can create some amazing mixes to any genre 💕💕
#wearecrossfader I enjoyed the the 3rd one the best I’ve just started the Rekordbox beginner course so once I’m comfortable mixing I’ll be trying these transitions for sure!
#WeAreCrossfader My favourite was # 2 in terms of real-world use, and repeatability. # 3 is the most impressive but I wouldn’t want to do it more than once in a set. Great video, thanks!
#WeAreCrossfader Transition 3 This also works well the other way around, slow to fast. Also looping the intro beat on the incoming track and using sync to speed up/slow down while crossing the EQs over and releasing the loop to finish works well too. Great videos and ideas guys, thank you for what you do.
I didn't like transition 1 because of needing to use a break in the music to go to the next song. I liked transition 2 a lot because I think the echo transition is a lot easier to use. Transition 3 was the coolest, but it would definitely take me some practice to get the loop, tempo, and song synced perfectly. I think the two songs you chose for that one would be a bit difficult for me because of the off-beat start of song 2. It had to be started on the 4 which would be kind of a weird count.
Great Tips! Thank You. I did enjoy all three, however, I appreciated the third transition best of all. Obviously it was/is the most difficult transition to master. But I can't be a great DJ if I just do the easy stuff!
I really was surprised to learn something after a decade of not playing out? Method 2 taught me something about my new equipment- in my time, it was all vinyl and pretty minimal effects - the echo is a great method!
#WeAreCrossfader The echo out (#2) is my get-out-of-jail card, but if I can find a way, it's much better to get creative and use tone play, word plays, or at least sync them up like in #3.
2 and 3 are favourite, but all can be used. Dj ing isn't simple and there are so many ways to be creative, theres never one answer for all. Keep up the good work!
Ghedion92 I agree, it kinda reminds me of when I had my first set of belt drives and a huge miss Mach of records, this was basically the only way I could do any mixing without it sounding like pots and pans
Man I remember going every friday night at a club in Austin Texas to watch a DJ spin on technics 1200s trying to watch and learn.. 26 years later y’all got it in ten minutes on UA-cam lol
Thank you. I am starting out and have to work with lots of different genres of music in each set. Really great to get examples of this and simple demo of the 'how to'.
#WeAreCrossfader 3: Close toss up between #2 and #3. But #3 is more technical and bigger payout for the audience. Glad to have seen them all actually. Extremely useful techniques for a casual DJ looking to grow after a few years as a hobby.
#WeAreCrossfader Transition no 1 😍 Really appreciate your hard work on intermediate course. This course focuses on basics which is the ultimate secret of pro djing . I wish i could also afford your advance course !
I think you were late on all of them and screwed with the phrasing too much. I wouldn't have 4 counted a break on the 1st and just dropped it flush, on the second I would have set the echo effect to actually echo at the bpm of the incoming track and mix into the echo, then dropped the third transition in 8 beats earlier.
@@hoi5162 Right, I mean, why even try to advance yourself at all. If you read my comment and thought about it I think you will find it was quite constructive. You should give what I said a try and see if you think it sounds better before chiming in with your wonderfully toxic advice.
danaoshana was saying the same lol like playlist on Spotify even tho the first two techniques were in a good controller and the last one was in a toy one 😂🥴
I honestly think you guys put out some great 👍 Dj tips that help us newbies. I really like this video and the transition can’t wait to try out the 3 one ☝️ when I get home from work. Keep up the good work
Definitely Number 3 is my favorite. Just know your song mixing points real good. Plus make sure your mixing songs with Compatible Keys that go well together. Then you mix will be dead on with the other techniques shown in this video. Most importantly, PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE. That way you can rock the crowd without using headphones.
#WeAreCroasfader I love using number 3. I often pick a good vocal loop or just a beat loop. Echo out is a great all purpose quick mix too! Thanks for the great video.

Transition 3 was def my favorite. The slowdown of the loop going into the intro of "How We Do" was so freaking cool
😂
I read this comment before i reached 11:50 and was wondering why you liked it so much...stopped wondering at 11:58 😂 really nice stuff 👌
Looping is a Savior for sure. I just never thought about using it like this👌 awesome idea
That’s house beat is not the intro for how we do tho

you mean the perfect "transition"
Post pandemic he be looking like present day Tom Felton...🥴
That last transition gave me goosebumps
Mixing tech 3 is my favorite. Seem to be more intricate but engaging the crowd.
Transition 3 is my favourite as it's the most natural for the listener and requires a bit more skill from the dj haha

Never knew about the tempo adjust on my RX....I always knew there had to be an easier way to adjust tempo down to a decimal point. Thank you!
Thanks alot Jamie - I have been practicing tip 3 and its just AMAZING - definitely a new GREAT skill! Cheers
wish I had tutorials like this in the 90s when I started djing.

i just got a ddj-400 and started practising everyday since this weekend. i used number 3 without knowing this is a thing done by dj's :0
#WeAreCrossfader - transition 3 is def my favorite. Much smoother and less noticeable to the crowd. Cheers!
#wearecrossfader ..transition 3 is sooo good. im gonna use like crazy holy..i can totaly imagine a crowd going "WoW" when the melody slows and repeats
@Ryan Toth lol jokes on you ... I did at the club recently last Saturdayand some girl sucked my dick that night!! Lol jk..nah..but someone gave me a tip

I typically use 1 & 3
#WeAreCrossfader transition 3 is my favourite for the skill and smoothness. Though transition 2 is a lifesaver when needing to mix out quickly
Always quality tutorials & mixes from crossfader 🔥🔥
Thanks Jamie - Very informative. Transitions 1 & 2 I get... #3 will take some practice. I appreciate the guidance. All the best

My favorite transition is #3, it's such a good technique to use at the club. It sounds like you really know what you're doing.
wish I had this video 7 years ago... just learned on my own
Absolutely number 3!!! You're making me and to pull my gear out right now and practice!
#WeAreCrossfader 1: Transition 1 is my favourite as it is so simple yet so effective. The other two transitions are really good too.
I'm super new... obviously the first may be used more at this stage, but I enjoyed watching them all
#WeAreCrossfader
Transition 3
This also works well the other way around, slow to fast. Also looping the intro beat on the incoming track and using sync to speed up/slow down while crossing the EQs over and releasing the loop to finish works well too. Great videos and ideas guys, thank you for what you do.
Dont touch sync.
@@kwesiquick6894 why not? It's a tool available so why not use it for some transitions?
The 3 third is the hardest but if you learn this one you are on your way. So I like that one. Good job of explaining it.

Loved all 3 trans as im a new beginner....great to watch....but no 1 was best...Thanks☺
#WeAreCrossfader my favorite transition is the 3rd one, u make some space for the next song and then u mix them 😍👌🏻
3 is definitely my favorite way to transition different genres
The 3 was prefect 👊👊👊
2 and 3 are favourite, but all can be used. Dj ing isn't simple and there are so many ways to be creative, theres never one answer for all. Keep up the good work!

#WeAreCrossfader transition 3 because it is the most technical and sounds the best to my ears. I enjoy doing/learning the more technical transitions
I'd like to see you mix some break beat into dnb or italo disco to some techno shit. This EDM mixing is like playing tetris on level 1.
