  • This is the new SpeedyBee F405 V4 flight stack. From the iconic yellow soft mounts to the exceptional build quality, these PCBs ooze excellence. The 4 in 1 ESC even sports an aluminium alloy heatsink, giving it a high-end feel. The standout feature? An impressive current rating of 60A continuous and 70A burst current, a significant improvement from the previous V3's 50A. It's perfect for drones and cinelifters with 8 and 10 props.

It will be really interesting to see how you wire everything up for the 8 motor, 2x ESC cinelifter. The last 6 motor build I did had 6 individual ESCs on an APM 2.5!!!!

They are scary and rewarding all at the same time. This is my stock choice for larger drone now especially since they fixed the DMA burst and INAV properly supports 8 motors.

Thanks for another great review Whirly Bloke. I would have no reservations buying this stack. I run a SpeedyBee F405 v4 and 55A esc in my 7" diy and it's been flawless. I've had great luck with SpeedyBee products so far. Thank you for creating content that I find interesting, informative, and entertaining. Happy flying amigo 🫡 🍻.

Does this controller have ESC’s in/on the board or will I have to have an ESC for each motor?
    Thanks!

The board labelled 60A is a 4 in 1 ESC.

@@WhirlyBloke Thanks. After “reading the instructions” I’ve come to that conclusion. For me, this is shockingly good news. I still have an old DJI F450 (had to have four ESC’s on it.) I’m planning to resurrect for LOS flying around the back yard.
      Thanks for your help.

Anything over 5 inches is just too big and too heavy. This is coming from an engineer and the radio control industry for cars, boats, quad, copters, anything for the last 40 years. Lighter is always better.go with the 5 inch quad copter and skip the big heavy one.

Maybe for hobby flying give the current regs, but when you're flying commercially and the client wants FPV footage using a Red Komodo, a 5 inch or smaller drone isn't gonna cut it. As always, everything has its place and application. Thanks for the feedback.
