Believe it or not, the lyrics were written by Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead (who wrote a few lyrics for Ozzy's albums)... Ozzy wanted a song to cover his sentiments to his wife Sharon (He often called her 'Mama') after a bad drug/alcohol episode in 1989 in which he nearly killed her... They reconciled and Ozzy told Lemmy what he wanted to express... Lemmy apparently put pen to paper and Ozzy was impressed w/ the lyrics - it summed up Ozzy and Sharon's turbulent marriage perfectly... Zakk Wylde (guitar) was just incredible on the 'No more tears' album. Lemmy said that he was incredible grateful that Ozzy and Sharon paid him up front for his lyrics to Ozzy's 'No more tears'... He claimed that they paid him more money$$$ than he had made in the entirety of Motorhead's career! Lemmy and Ozzy remained friends until Lemmy passed away in 2015.
Ozzy and Lemmy are not just two of the most walk the walk rock stars, they are (or were in Lem’s case) two of the most down to earth, fame didn’t change, nice guys in the music business.
In an interview Lemmy said Sharon called him and asked for seven songs and would pay him $100,000. He said "where do I sign?" He wrote the songs, think four were used (or part of them), everyone happy all round. And a great song here!
@@neverdive1059agreed. Also two of the funniest. As a young lad in my late teens into my early 20s, I used to look forward to the interview with either of them in the UK rock newspaper 'Sounds'. They were always hilarious, and to the point (it was in one of those interviews where Ozzy famously bit the head off a dove)
"No More Tears" is my favorite Ozzy song from this era, when Zakk Wylde was his lead guitarist. I also highly recommend checking out Zakk's stuff with his own band, Black Label Society. "Crazy Horse", "Suicide Messiah", and "Destruction Overdrive" are my top picks to rock out.
The day my son left for university in San Diego, CA, he left this track on my stereo. He told me to hit “play” after he left. I cried for hours when I heard this. I’m in tears right now thinking about it. And that was 21 years ago. ❤

I used to play this song on the day that I would return from deployment in my military days. After 10 of them, it became a regular song. Enjoy the reactions, Mate. You bring light to a very dark world we live in today. Much respect.
Sweetie I have been watching you for a few months now and it is so exciting to see younger people listening to the music I grew up on! You actually had to have talent and a great voice! Our concerts were legendary! That’s why we called them rock gods! Today is all machines and whoever wants to sing can cause it does not matter what kind of voice they have! It sucks! Nothing better than listening to actual talented bands that make their own music instead of a machine!
Wow it's my brother's anniversary today and this was one of the songs played at his funeral picked by our mum who is now gone also two years later, she died of a broken heart!! God Bless for sharing on such a special day for me!!
I might have heard a song hundreds of times, but somehow when I'm watching a MollyBoy reaction I pick up on subtle details in the song that I never noticed before. Loving it!
@@MicheleCampbell-t6c Diary of a Madman and Blizzard of Ozz were by far his two best solo albums. The later stuff like bark at the Moon with Jake E Lee and this album was a good album as well but not as good as the the two albums that had Randy Rhoads.

I love OZZY!! I'm an old Ozzy fan from the 1970's. I saw him with Black Sabbath and then on his own. I got picked up by 6 concert security guys and carried out over their heads from an Ozzy concert in 1986 and I wasn't even doing anything illegal...I had to listen to the rest of the show out in my car ... ah well, Metallica opened for Ozzy and I saw the entire opener.. it was a phenomenal concert! I love this song so much and my mom loved it too. She was born in 1927 and she loved Ozzy!! Thanks MollyBoy!!
As much love as Ozzy gets, I feel like he’s still underrated. The guy fronted THE band that invented heavy metal, then went solo and became even bigger with his first two albums, lost the guitarist that was synonymous with his sound, and still kept pumping out platinum records THEN started Ozzfest which single handedly saved metal, THEN did the reality show and still keeps putting out quality music. The dude won multiple Grammys this decade. Any one section decade of his career would make someone a legend. He’s been doing it since ‘70.
He likes a more mellow-sounding Ozzy. I'd suggest "Dreamer", or "Old L.A. Tonight". Maybe his duet with Lita, "If I close my eyes forever", and of course, "Road to Nowhere".
I've watched your reactions, not sure if I've ever commented. I'm glad to see someone hearing music for the first time that I grew up on and at 56 still can't leave. Thank you.
This is one of my faaaaavorite Ozzy songs. My parents raised us on this kind of music and I used to sing this every time I drove to my moms house for the holidays when I lived out of state. I was blessed to see Ozzy live in concert in 2018 and it was the best concert I've ever been to in my life. ❤ So glad I got to see him before he stopped touring. And I promise you, if he physically could, he would be out there rocking every night 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

I love how guitarist Zakk Wylde pays a little nod to Hotel California (The Eagles) at the end of his solo. This is my favorite solo by him. Straight, melodic, nothing fancy and to the point.
Zakk Wylde was the guitarist on that album and for my money he made the best music with Ozzy, without question. His own band (Black Label Society) is worth checking out.
