HIP HOP FAN'S FIRST TIME HEARING 'Skid Row - 18 And Life' | GENUINE REACTION
Вставка
- Опубліковано 7 лют 2025
- So I have only heard 2 Skid Row songs so far but I think it is safe to say that I am really enjoying their music. I should have continued with Skid Row as soon as I reacted to I Remember You but somehow I forgot. Today we took a look at their song 18 and Life. This has that heavier sound from them that I am really liking. I did have a reaction to Wasted Time recorded but somehow I have lost the footage. I think now is the time we take a dive into Skid Row and their music and hopefully we can find more from them that sounds the same or slightly similar to 18 And Life.
Here is my reaction to hearing Skid Row - 18 And Life for the first time. I hope you enjoy it!

Skid Row - Youth Gone Wild
oh HELL YEAH!
YES.
Yes!
Has to be next. I'm hoping he does Steelheart's She's Gone and I'll Never Let You Go also.
Definitely Youth Gone Wild next, then Monkey Business after that, please!
***YOUTH GONE WILD*** Gen X banger Anthem! Gonna love it!
Here with you another Gen x
Hell yeah he will!
Gen X here!
He needs to hear "Monkey business" and "Slave to the grind" now
💯 🖤🤘
Please!!!!😊
Along with YOUTH GONE WILD.
Can include Riot Act if more content is needed
YESSS
Youth Gone Wild, Here I Am, Monkey Business, Slave to the Grind 🤘
Beggar's Day was a good one as well, but I believe it was only on the "censored" version of the "Slave to the Grind" LP in place of "Get the F*@K Out" so many people never actually heard it. I had to buy both versions of course.
Yes! Youth Gone Wild and Monkey Business 🤘
Cinderella
Poison
Winger
Def leppard
Motley crue
Whitesnake
Ratt
Slaughter
White lion
Europe
A lot of hairbands you've got to enjoy
Hell yeah to all of those!!!
Can't wait until you hear Cinderella!
Yes! I suggested Cinderella about an hour ago following MollyBoy's listening of Def Leppard!
Yes please. ❤
I just told my husband wait until he listens to Cinderella 😂 Greetings from San Juan, Puerto Rico ❤
Yesssss
My favorite band of the so said "Hair bands"
"Hair' bands were wildly popular, don't let haters convince you otherwise. And not like today's music where it's all done on computer & autotune, the hair bands were very, very talented musicians & vocalists. Some people may not like the style (I lived through it and loved it), but no one can say anything about their musicianship or vocals, unlike today. Sebastian Bach also starred in a couple Broadway musicals and was very successful at that, too. Great reaction, keep going with 80s 'hair' bands!
I'm 47 in a week, hair metal STILL rocks. I've never bored of it. It's talent. Pure talent.
Those of us who were coming up during those days loved the look and the sound, and YES, they were incredible musicians and singers. No autotune necessary. Stadiums filled with people holding up lighters, not mobile phones. I wouldn't trade being alive then for anything. I'm good growing older now with that history in my life. It's priceless.
@@connie7128 I agree 100%. I'm very thankful to have grown up back then, wouldn't change it for anything. We were very lucky.
WILDLY POPULAR. They were the 💩. You liked metal, or you liked New Wave, and the two rarely mixed.
Queensryche, Steelheart, Winger, Cinderella. Just to name a few. All of these bands have incredible singers. Not to mention musicians.
Dokken
Warrant
Saxon
I hate all those
@chrishall5141 then your taste in music sucks. The ones you LOVE are boring af
* edit: actually, Winger had a decent song or two. Kip Winger is a good dude and doing his country thang now, apparently. Queensryche's Silent Lucidity & Operation:Mindcrime are pretty lame. That band got destroyed by the emergence of Nirvana, Soundgaren, early AIC, Smashing Pumpkins. They might be hitting county fairs these days. Jani Lane and Don Dokken were far better singers than Geoff Tate or that Tom dude from Cinderella imo
Steel heart and Saxon are a must start early with Saxon maybe Dallas 1pm
I remember you live from Wembley stadium
Sebastian is the perfect lead rocker - Rock God looks and vocals!! Forever my favorite vocalist! ❤❤🔥🔥
Mine too... His movements and his perfect hair... and the voice... Good God, what specimen of the perfect rocker❤
Sebastian Bach's voice is 🔥🔥🔥
“Piece Of Me” is another great one by Skid Row.
Tesla-Modern Day Cowboy
Or freedom slaves
Song and Emotion and Paradise too.
Tesla is criminally underrated.
Love song!
@@longhaireddegenerate5912 Make sure to hear it with the full intro. Gorgeous intro.
For those of us who grew up in the "80's..we were so blessed to see many of these in bands LIVE, in coliseums. Epic shows - no afncy auto-tunes or lip syncing.. just good musicians making phenomenal music. We may be "older" but I really think we had the absolutle BEST music.
100% agree! I'm 59 and still have all my concert ticket stubbs framed. Started in 78 Ted Nugent through Jane's Addiction about 2 months ago.
100% I feel so lucky to be elder Gen X. Born in the 60s & grew up in the 70s & 80s. Those 3 decades of music encompass the best music ever. And going to high school and college in the 80s was like nothing else. Living in L.A. in the late 80s and seeing these guys around in clubs was the best.
I miss the 80s. Today's music sux 🤮
We were at easily at 4 concerts a month. Sometimes more!
We did have it…we just didn’t realize it at the time.❤
Oh I agree Gen X born in 69
I went to concerts with my older cousins from 11 years old in MadisonSquareGarden...my parents never knew 😅
We had the Best Music and I'm thrilled my son loves Rock
Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Santana to name a few
My daughter loves Italian and Japanese Dark Metal (kinda like it)
The vibe of the 80s is unmatched
You asked for a LIVE performance recommendation so here you go..." I REMEMBER YOU" LIVE at Wembley Stadium 1991!! Sebastians vocals and then, his vocal "play" mid-way thru the performance will BLOW YOUR MIND!💯💯💯 Also, they were there with Guns N Roses, it was epic! NUFF SAID!!👊 Thanks for sharing your journey...✌💞
I met Sebastian back in 2003 with my first wife (she died of cancer in 2006), and the picture I have of her tattooed on my chest is the one that I took of her with him. She was SO happy that night, and that picture just encompassed how much she loved that kind of music. He was a REALLY great guy to meet, and I still have his autographs to both her and I to this very day.
He is still making new music, and his voice is STILL as good as ever! Sadly, there will never be a reunion with the original band, as they've had a really nasty falling out.
I remember you live from Wembley Stadium. An absolutely unbelievable live performance Sebastian‘s voice just soars!
This is the one!
Monkey Business is a big banger
Molls, "Monkey Business", "Quicksand Jesus" "Slave to the Grind"
Slave to the Grind is going to be their heaviest song imo
or Monkey Business
I totally agree. Definitely a banger. Waiting for Leo to do a metal version of it
“Youth Gone Wild” and “Monkey Business”. You won’t be disappointed!!
"That child blew a child awayyyy" that line brought me to tears skid row has always been one of my favorite bands! Sebastian is still singing and touring as a solo artist and the can still carry and hit notes that blow your mind
Quicksand Jesus and Monkey Business need to be added to your list.
You're starting to realise the power of the metal...and welcome to The Family!
Am now an old metaller...been listening to all this since the early 80s...Maiden, Metallica, Slayer....
Have really loved watching you watch/listen for the first time to all the songs that I've grown up with!!
And Skid Row were always perfect! As many people below have said...listen to Monkey Business, In a Darkened Room, Wasted Time...all amazing! But Youth Gone Wild is the song your really want!
Oh, and Take Hold OF The Flame by Queensryche...and ANYTHING by Savatage / Trans Siberian Orchestra!
And as much Maiden as you can!!!
Rock on little brother!!
(can't go wrong with early Elton John either!!! 🙂)
Just subscribed!!!
Everytime I see someone react to Skid Row, I say the same thing..... you have just heard the best voice of the genre. And they released what I believe to be the best sophomore album ever....Slave to the Grind. Not a bad song. I still listen to it more than 30 years later.
Damn straight
Monkey Business and Quicksand Jesus are amazing too.i still love Sebastian, although seeing him live back in the 90’s was the best time ever!
Siiiiiiiiii
Ahhh Sebastian Bach has a great voice! He comes to Little Rock every year for a concert and I’ve missed the last 2. I’ll go next year though. Now cancer free and no meds to made me sick. I’ve missed so much. I think that’s why I appreciate your younger views. Our music will live on in the younger generation ❤❤
If you live in Little Rock, come to Hot Springs. He's at Magic Springs every summer!!
Congratulations, hope you continue to stay well🤘
@@samanthahall356 I didn’t know that! Thx so much ❤️
@@brianjohnston5221 thx! Gotta make it 5 years then ill feel more at ease
U gotta hear Cinderella ... WOW!
You have, without a doubt, the absolute best reactions on UA-cam. I just love watching your videos❤
My first and biggest teenage crush was Sebastian Bach-I mean, c'mon, the man was an absolute Adonis back in the 80s/90s. Plus, the man had a serious set of pipes! ❤🤘🏻♾️
“Youth gone wild” and “monkey business” bro! 🤘🏻
No autotune, no samples, talent only. Saw them 1989 on their tour for this album, Skid Row, they were superb and his voice was amazing
Skid Row- Youth Gone Wild!!!
Back when MTV was still MTV, in the 80s, I always loved it when the music video for “I remember you“ came on that was dope!
I loved Skid Row as a kid and still do. The kids in this video remind me so much of me and my buddy growing up , long hair, leather jackets, ripped up jeans and drinking, smoking weed and causing havoc lol!!! The 80s and early to mid 90s were a blast!!!
This came out when I was 15, one of my favorite albums of all time!!
I rewind Skid Row over and over again, you're all good!!!
Sebastian was my first "rock star crush" 🤷🏻♀️
We didn't even know we were listening to legends be born on the radio ❤
Yet another great song from the 80's!
Hair metal will always rule!!! Love that you are exploring this genre!!! Keep it coming brother! So much more to enjoy!!!🤘🤘🤘
As a teenager when this came out..was life changing!! Great reaction!
They're awesome live! Puts everyone to shame. Sebastian has a voice that fills the room with music and hits the soul.
Skid Row was killer.
Piece Of Me
Big Guns
The best Skid Row song IMO. Love this one!!!!
I met Sebastian backstage at a Twisted Sister concert featuring him, too. My ex was a drum tech who toured with Twisted around the world for 8 years. Anyway, Sebastian came bounding backstage in a long black leather coat, and he is so tall! Nice guy, a little narcissistic, but boy, can he sing!
The 80s Never to be duplicated
Mr. Sebastian has one of the best heavy metal rock ‘n’ roll voices ever !
I was raised on classic rock, and this song resonated so much for me as a teenager. In short, I was a little shit. 😅
Let me tell you….I’m so thankful to have grown up in the time that I did! 80’s hair bands, 90’s grunge, 90’s metal, early 00’s metal….cant get much better than that!
This is my favorite Skid Row song, Sebastian's voice is beautiful and raw at the same time. Perfect hair metal band and definitely a favorite of mine.
80s best decade ever for music and bands. Most are still going today🤘🏻🤘🏻
As far as I'm concerned, this is the best ballad(ish) hair metal ever produced. Such a great song, even 35 years later.
Mollyboy, I’m glad you got to hear this song. I listen to it over and over in 1989 when I joined the US Army on a train ride in South Korea. Love that band. You have to listen to Winger’s She’s only 17…
The entire Wembley show & Sebastian in Times Square singing This is the Moment.
I'm heartbroken I don't get to watch you listening to wasted time for the first time! I've been waiting forever for that!
Go back and watch it! 🤷♂️
I was about 14-15 when I first heard this song...I watched MTV everyday after school and saw when Youth Gone Wild and I Remember You first debuted and I listened to Skid Row's first album religiously on cassette (I still have the cassette tape) on my boombox along with Def Leppard, White Lion and Motley Crue. Everytime me and my parents went somewhere, I was jamming on my Walkman. The 80s was a great time to be a teen. All I worried about was music, playing outside, and girls. There will never be a time like it...I miss it so much 😪
Excited for you on this one. Dudes got an amazing voice
Slave To The Grind is their best album.
Song: Monkey Business!
Youth Gone Wild, Living on a Chain Gang, and In a Darkened Room next!!!
Sebastian Bach is a fellow Canadian!!!! He had and still has a killer voice. Obviously he has aged as we do, but he always took care of his voice as his instrument. He did his vocal exercises like a good singer does. He was back in the day, so beautiful!!!! His looks went right along hand in hand with his voice. He actually is from a town about 30 km away from where I live. He became great friends with Guns N Roses drummer and If I am correct they did tour together way back. Sadly drugs and alcohol got the better of him but he still is out there and his voice is still great. VH1 did a show called SuperGroup where they put a handful of older rockers together and they had to do a show in Vegas. If you want to see it I believe it is still available on UA-cam. I love it. Great Reaction MollyBoy!!!🤗🤗🤘🤘
Youth Gone Wild , Monkey Business and Slave to the Grind!!!!
Perfect list!!!
Wasted Time is the best display of Sebastian Bach's vocals and the lyrics are heartbreakingly personal. It's a masterpiece
And ...the most beautiful hair ..!!! 💗🤘🎸
Youth Gone Wild, Monkey Business, The Threat…….the banger list goes on!! 🤘🤘🎸🎸❤️❤️
Awoohoo!!! I've been in love with his voice since I was a young teen (and that hair! Damn!!!) 💜
I had that same look on my face in '89! 😂
I’m 65 yo and this is my favorite band. I mean, just look at him!!
The man who made thousands and thousands of hetero men question their s**uality. 😅😅😅
I seen skid row open for Van Halen amazing concert
Love to hear that you have heard the very talented and still performing Sebastian Bach
This came out when I was 13 and has been on all my playlists. I'm 48 now and my kids love it too. Timeless.
Sebastian 😮the vocals !!!!!! Love him !!!!!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️
That voice, that face, that hair…I’m melllllllllting! Love Skid Row!
Their song "Slave to the Grind" is my favorite!
Wasted Time is very good too though
Did NO ONE ANYONE KNEW SB AND SKIDROW!! Lordy! I was into him since early 80’s! Geesh! HE IS LIT 🔥 AND HIS VOCALS ARE LIT 🔥
Youth gone wild next!!! Pleeeeeeaaasssss!!
Sebastian is the man!! Also need to check out some “Ratt” another great 80’s hair band
"Youth Gone Wild", "Piece of Me", and "Sweet Little Sister" are a few of my fave Skid Row songs.
I love Skid Row!! Sebastian Bach has such a phenomenal voice!! I love this song as well! Thanks Declan!
How can anyone hate this group??!!
There's a female reactor that does with a passion . She's MaddyReactions
When Sebastian Bach left Skid Row, a friend of mine, Johnny Solinger, took his place. Saw him once with the band, and he was good. Unfortunately, he died of liver cancer about 3 years ago. He was very nice, and had a great voice. RIP Johnny. ☮️❤️🎼😎
8:08 I always liked how they did that. When he screamed the Guitar sound came out.
In a Darkend Room is the best Skid Row tune! 🙌 unbelievable!! Chills throughout!
@@AarosConcerts Yes!!!!! Another of my favorites!
Youth Gone Wild!
Thanks for turning it up! I know that look. Old school!!!😁
i saw their first ever UK performance in 1989 supporting Bon Jovi at Milton Keynes, have loved Skid Row ever since💖
Let’s goooo!🤘🤘
i saw them back in the late 80'a when he was touring opening for Bon Jovi . BRO IT WAS EPIC !
Monkey Business might have the heaviest riff in a hair metal band. looking forward to when you get to that track.
This came out when I was in high school. It was a great tune when we were out driving on Friday nights, heading to a party, or just out looking for a party. There were a lot of good rock tunes out back then.
I remember you.
That was his 1st reaction to Skid Row.
Lucky enough to see Skid Row live when they came to New Zealand with Guns n Roses last century Feb 6th 1993! What a concert🤩
Monkey business live on Saturday night live.
Most recently he was on the Masked Singer. I'll let you know in April of 25 I have tickets to see him live. In my hometown where I seen him 30 years ago when skid row opened for bon Jovi. It should have been other way around. Love skid row
80s hair metal bands, the era of weed, whiskey, cocaine, and lots and lots of sex.
yeah
You gotta react to their song In A Darkened Room! I love their music. Legit play their songs on repeat a bit too hard 😂😂. Keep doing great reacts! I love seeing you fall in love with so many songs and genres. ❤
What an amazing reaction, thank you ☺and for rewinding the song on these amazing parts. You are awesome 👍you have to check out *Skid Row - Piece of Me (Official Music Video)* it's wild.
That face of yours , the emotion seen trough your vains, I’m a fan to see already, Sebastian’s Bach,s voice always hit me, I see he reached your heart to haha , I can’t wait to see you hearing , ‘she’s gone from steel heart , take it away keep going!!
I saw them live at Wembley in “91” they were opening for Guns n Roses and they were great. Loving the reactions; keep em coming ❤️
I was there when this came out. Imagine the joy people like me feel when u speak these words. Thanx!
Hair metal rocks 🔥🤘 Being in my teens/twenties in the 80's was just the best... 100% fun... Great music, great fashion, great HAIR .. We had it all back then... and we rocked it! 😂😁🤘
