@chrishall5141 then your taste in music sucks. The ones you LOVE are boring af * edit: actually, Winger had a decent song or two. Kip Winger is a good dude and doing his country thang now, apparently. Queensryche's Silent Lucidity & Operation:Mindcrime are pretty lame. That band got destroyed by the emergence of Nirvana, Soundgaren, early AIC, Smashing Pumpkins. They might be hitting county fairs these days. Jani Lane and Don Dokken were far better singers than Geoff Tate or that Tom dude from Cinderella imo
Beggar's Day was a good one as well, but I believe it was only on the "censored" version of the "Slave to the Grind" LP in place of "Get the F*@K Out" so many people never actually heard it. I had to buy both versions of course.
"Hair' bands were wildly popular, don't let haters convince you otherwise. And not like today's music where it's all done on computer & autotune, the hair bands were very, very talented musicians & vocalists. Some people may not like the style (I lived through it and loved it), but no one can say anything about their musicianship or vocals, unlike today. Sebastian Bach also starred in a couple Broadway musicals and was very successful at that, too. Great reaction, keep going with 80s 'hair' bands!
Those of us who were coming up during those days loved the look and the sound, and YES, they were incredible musicians and singers. No autotune necessary. Stadiums filled with people holding up lighters, not mobile phones. I wouldn't trade being alive then for anything. I'm good growing older now with that history in my life. It's priceless.
For those of us who grew up in the "80's..we were so blessed to see many of these in bands LIVE, in coliseums. Epic shows - no afncy auto-tunes or lip syncing.. just good musicians making phenomenal music. We may be "older" but I really think we had the absolutle BEST music.
100% I feel so lucky to be elder Gen X. Born in the 60s & grew up in the 70s & 80s. Those 3 decades of music encompass the best music ever. And going to high school and college in the 80s was like nothing else. Living in L.A. in the late 80s and seeing these guys around in clubs was the best.
Oh I agree Gen X born in 69 I went to concerts with my older cousins from 11 years old in MadisonSquareGarden...my parents never knew 😅 We had the Best Music and I'm thrilled my son loves Rock Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Santana to name a few My daughter loves Italian and Japanese Dark Metal (kinda like it)
You asked for a LIVE performance recommendation so here you go..." I REMEMBER YOU" LIVE at Wembley Stadium 1991!! Sebastians vocals and then, his vocal "play" mid-way thru the performance will BLOW YOUR MIND!💯💯💯 Also, they were there with Guns N Roses, it was epic! NUFF SAID!!👊 Thanks for sharing your journey...✌💞
Everytime I see someone react to Skid Row, I say the same thing..... you have just heard the best voice of the genre. And they released what I believe to be the best sophomore album ever....Slave to the Grind. Not a bad song. I still listen to it more than 30 years later.
I loved Skid Row as a kid and still do. The kids in this video remind me so much of me and my buddy growing up , long hair, leather jackets, ripped up jeans and drinking, smoking weed and causing havoc lol!!! The 80s and early to mid 90s were a blast!!!
Ahhh Sebastian Bach has a great voice! He comes to Little Rock every year for a concert and I’ve missed the last 2. I’ll go next year though. Now cancer free and no meds to made me sick. I’ve missed so much. I think that’s why I appreciate your younger views. Our music will live on in the younger generation ❤❤
Mollyboy, I’m glad you got to hear this song. I listen to it over and over in 1989 when I joined the US Army on a train ride in South Korea. Love that band. You have to listen to Winger’s She’s only 17…
I met Sebastian back in 2003 with my first wife (she died of cancer in 2006), and the picture I have of her tattooed on my chest is the one that I took of her with him. She was SO happy that night, and that picture just encompassed how much she loved that kind of music. He was a REALLY great guy to meet, and I still have his autographs to both her and I to this very day. He is still making new music, and his voice is STILL as good as ever! Sadly, there will never be a reunion with the original band, as they've had a really nasty falling out.
Let me tell you….I’m so thankful to have grown up in the time that I did! 80’s hair bands, 90’s grunge, 90’s metal, early 00’s metal….cant get much better than that!
"That child blew a child awayyyy" that line brought me to tears skid row has always been one of my favorite bands! Sebastian is still singing and touring as a solo artist and the can still carry and hit notes that blow your mind
I met Sebastian backstage at a Twisted Sister concert featuring him, too. My ex was a drum tech who toured with Twisted around the world for 8 years. Anyway, Sebastian came bounding backstage in a long black leather coat, and he is so tall! Nice guy, a little narcissistic, but boy, can he sing!
This came out when I was in high school. It was a great tune when we were out driving on Friday nights, heading to a party, or just out looking for a party. There were a lot of good rock tunes out back then.
I was about 14-15 when I first heard this song...I watched MTV everyday after school and saw when Youth Gone Wild and I Remember You first debuted and I listened to Skid Row's first album religiously on cassette (I still have the cassette tape) on my boombox along with Def Leppard, White Lion and Motley Crue. Everytime me and my parents went somewhere, I was jamming on my Walkman. The 80s was a great time to be a teen. All I worried about was music, playing outside, and girls. There will never be a time like it...I miss it so much 😪
Yeah, being a teen during this time was awesome!!! The 80's had amazing hair bands and it was a crazy time. I miss those days. Enjoy your youth, because it goes so quick.
Hey dude, you really need to check out the official videos for Slave To The Grind and Monkey Business. Two awesome, heavier tracks that I reckon you'll love. Piece Of Me is a pearler too. Love your reactions, keep it up dude.🤘💀🤘
What an amazing reaction, thank you ☺and for rewinding the song on these amazing parts. You are awesome 👍you have to check out *Skid Row - Piece of Me (Official Music Video)* it's wild.
Fun Fact,...the band had all the songs on this album recorded in the studio minus a singer, until they had gone through many auditions and finally finding Sebastian Bach!...😅 Truth, keep it Rockin'!🤘🔥
I grew up in this era, was 17 when Skid Row came out. For live…Wembley Stadium, I Remember You. And I agree, he does have the best vocals imo from then. He is still performing and just put out a banger album in May of this year. You should check it out. I saw him live this May and he still sounded great. Other songs: Youth Gone Wild, that’s our Gen X anthem. You’ll love it! Quicksand Jesus for AMAZING vocals, Monkey Business, Slave to the Grind.
Sebastian has an absolutely incredible vocal rang...even now! I always considered Skid Row one of the "heavier" hair bands. I saw them open several concerts back in the late 80s and early 90s. I'll have to look up some live versions...
Skid Row - Youth Gone Wild
oh HELL YEAH!
YES.
Yes!
Has to be next. I'm hoping he does Steelheart's She's Gone and I'll Never Let You Go also.
Definitely Youth Gone Wild next, then Monkey Business after that, please!
***YOUTH GONE WILD*** Gen X banger Anthem! Gonna love it!
Here with you another Gen x
Hell yeah he will!
Gen X here!
Queensryche, Steelheart, Winger, Cinderella. Just to name a few. All of these bands have incredible singers. Not to mention musicians.
Dokken
Warrant
Saxon
I hate all those

Yes please. ❤
I just told my husband wait until he listens to Cinderella 😂 Greetings from San Juan, Puerto Rico ❤
Yesssss
My favorite band of the so said "Hair bands"
Youth Gone Wild, Here I Am, Monkey Business, Slave to the Grind 🤘

@@connie7128 I agree 100%. I'm very thankful to have grown up back then, wouldn't change it for anything. We were very lucky.
WILDLY POPULAR. They were the 💩. You liked metal, or you liked New Wave, and the two rarely mixed.

100% agree! I'm 59 and still have all my concert ticket stubbs framed. Started in 78 Ted Nugent through Jane's Addiction about 2 months ago.

Mine too... His movements and his perfect hair... and the voice... Good God, what specimen of the perfect rocker❤
“Piece Of Me” is another great one by Skid Row.

Skid Row was killer.
Piece Of Me
Big Guns
Yet another great song from the 80's!
Mr. Sebastian has one of the best heavy metal rock ‘n’ roll voices ever !

In a Darkend Room is the best Skid Row tune! 🙌 unbelievable!! Chills throughout!

Monkey Business might have the heaviest riff in a hair metal band. looking forward to when you get to that track.
I love Skid Row!! Sebastian Bach has such a phenomenal voice!! I love this song as well! Thanks Declan!
80s hair metal bands, the era of weed, whiskey, cocaine, and lots and lots of sex.

Youth Gone Wild was like our anthem when I was young. And literally everyone who went to their live concert fell in love with Sebastian Bach...
