It's an animation error (i think) what i remembered from the manga was Annasui giving a little push to Jolyne (might be a slap but that'll be out of character for him) in any case, Jotaro hugging his daugther is out of instinct. Hence the awkward silence. Annasui also smiled back in the manga.

When I first watched this episode, I was expecting Jotaro to say his iconic “yakamashi” line at Anasui. But Jotaro pulling Jolyne towards him away from Anasui was something I never thought I needed.
Jokes aside, i believe if they make it in the end then Anasui gonna get Jotaro approval. Not only that Jolyne finally accept Anasui love but Anasui ready to gave up his life not only to protect Jolyne and Jotaro but to protect the whole gang is a huge sell point that he's worthy for Jolyne in the eye of Jotaro.
I don't think I'd call, "I'll agree to marry you if we make it out alive" accepting love in this case. The idea of even getting married in a situation like this gives her and anasui some form of hope to fight towards. Not necessarily a form of "love" but rather "we'll have to see."

Am I the only one who was glad Jotaro turned him down? Like bro was high key obsessive and possessive and jumped straight to marriage without ever getting a direct signage that she reciprocated. I was really surprised but satisfied that Jotaro gave him that hard "fuck no". Like obviously it's Jolynes choice in the matter and it seemed that maybe she was considering it, but otherwise she gave no signs- they barely talked or interacted, she never flirted with him, or even looked at him in a romantic way. Sure she like grabbed him that one time within this one scene but still it wasn't that evidently romantic either. She didn't even look at him. If they had set it up where she reciprocated more, maybe I would be more receptive to the idea of him jumping straight to marriage (though it's still iffy, they barely know eachother yet he's demanding this sort of commitment) but that's with any actual signals during the show.
Honestly i preferred Jolyne and Weather Report together over her and Anasui. She always seemed so happy/relieved to see Weather Report and I enjoyed their bond. Anasui always just came off as… creepy
I think Jotaro lost because he panicked when he saw the knives. Since he was using his arm to grab Jolyne, he could've used Star Platinum to attack Pucci during that and still had time. Since the knives are accelerated, maybe throw a few at Pucci's neck.
