Ovens id just like to say I appreciate every single vid u do ! You have helped me and God knows how many other people! With ur positive outlook on life ! Love from Ireland 🇮🇪
Well his vids for sure helped me a year ago. I was hit by a car while crossing the road, long story short I got my leg broken and had to stay on bed for couple of months. I am person who loves forest and nature and camping so Greg's videos kept me from going insane all this time.
Just pack and go. Make a plan. You'll forget stuff, but you learn for next time! Just came back from a little camping trip with electric in our tent. It was great for 3 days.
The ice fishing part was great. I remember doing that with my cousins and uncles when I was a kid in Newfoundland. How excited we'd get when the wire moved! Finn is so adorable, what a good boy :)
I said the bolt will probably fall in the hole to myself. When it dropped I almost died! One tragedy after another with a great attitude! Thanks for all the years of great entertainment Greg!👍
keep it up with all types of videos, I'm 23 so definitely on the younger side but I grew up doing these things so I love the long videos too. just do what works for your schedule and the people that support you will be there no matter what
I e never even heard Greg say hell or any other swear words so he’s proof that swearing is not manly at all. His shows are a great example of what men are about, and so entertaining.
Keep on doing these videos long or short they are entertaining and informative. You get entertainment as well as knew knowledge and skills thrown in. The fire side chats are great perhaps have guests with you others like yourself who can share a tail. Cheers from the one legged man from uk
Man! I felt so bad when your elk was taken/stolen! Goodness, gracious! I never expected that to happen, but what can I say? Life drops you whatever, and you just keep on truckin'! Another great video, Greg! Finn is so adorable!! Much respect from the 416! ✌🏾
Great time watching you do your thing Greg. As far as the Elk goes.. we win some and lose some but regardless of the situation, this all made for quality content. Happy belated birthday to Finn and I look forward to your next adventure. Godbless you brother
Zach has to many gadgets. I love it simple and this man is a simple man . Actually lives of the land herbs , teas , coffee , berries etc... love this dude . Real champion 🏆
I used to enjoy ice fishing as long as there was no wind. Several times I fished inside plywood shanties, but felt closed in and preferred to be outside. We mostly fished on Lake Michigan, but I preferred smaller lakes in the woods. Too much wind on the big lakes. I enjoyed this video though I was hoping for a bigger meal for you. Love to Finn and you as well.
oven i want to thank you for everything that you have done. i have sold our family's house and we are all living in the wilderness now. thank you so much and much love from the oregon forest
Got to hand it to Greg, he does the most entertaining informative videos to be found anywhere. One thing has me puzzled, why does the most advanced country on the planet - USA, not sure about Canada - use medieval measurements.
I prefer to lay on the Bank on a warm summers day, listen to the birds and the bees, whistling and buzzing, looking up at the billowing white clouds floating through a blue sky. a nice cold beer, and if the little bell at the end of my rod starts tinkerlinging, then that's a bonus, and if it remains silent, well no big deal. When the sun starts to go down I pack up my gear, fish or no fish I go home a very happy man. So Ice fishing, well, I would rather sit an watch Greg do that. Thanks Greg, I always look forward to your great videos.
The on/off road mud looked FUN.!!! Thanks for the great drone/ariel video view driving on the roads. *Coming soon . . . . . the Ovens "so you don't forget" kit. Black cargo box with tow strap/hand wench, snacks (energy bars), H2O, dog treats, LIGHTER, flashlight, extra cell phone battery charger, thermo blanket, compass, notebook, flare, and let's forget - most importantly - a roll of TP for fires and hygiene.
Greg, I really like all your videos. Don't stress. You are incredibly entertaining just being yourself. You always have valuable bits of knowledge to pass on. You share the disappointments of life, LIKE SOMEONE STEALING YOUR ELK!!!!! I have to say, I think you have issues with the luck of Murphy. My son's father is a Murphy and he can't go through a Taco Bell drive-thru without hitting the TB building is Murphy Aura is SO BAD. Best wishes as always.
Greg, because of you and your videos I bought my fishing license and trout stamp for the first time in my life. If you ever find yourself in Northern New Jersey, drop me a line so I can see how the master catches Rainbow Trout. Either way I'm excited to get some fishing done on the rivers.
I haven’t been able to do any fishing because of medical issues but when I was able I always checked my gear before I went somewhere. It has prevented coming up with a screw loose or lost 😊
Unlucky Greg, but I’m sure there was some lesson learned there. And that’s always a good thing. Also sometimes all you need is one worm, after catching the first fish you can use its gills or intestines for bait. I love your show. You are a bloody legend and thank you for all your videos
Greg, one of my wife and I favorite vacation in 25 years together was a business trip to Vancouver, then a personal vacation on the island. We weren’t roughing it in the bush, but it was a beautiful place for sure.
Boy fin is a beautiful boy I had two shepherds one of the best breeds around I have a lab now he is 10 and starting to show his age thanks for the video Greg
Thanks for calling in about this unfortunate Elk, Sad that someone came along and took it from you that is insane. Yup I agree that fish should have been larger around. Loved your last video definitely we are having strange weather all over Canada . This as always was a joy to watch ive never thought of just using a line to fish with some bait, I've always used a pole going to have to try your way .
Thanks for the upload, Greg. I agree with you regarding fishing. I have lived in a northern climate pretty much my entire life and never cared much for ice fishing. It’s basically an activity to do while drinking beer. 😆 I’ll take open water fishing on a warm sunny day anytime over ice fishing.
When I was a kid I didn’t know there was any other way to ice fish but hand lining until I was 16 years old, even then that’s the way I did it until I was 21.
Absolutely amazing video, I love all your videos, you do it so well it’s always a buzz when I see a new video realised. Keep up the good work Greg AWESOME 🙂
I just watched Fowler with his air-conditioning in his tent. You do seem to draw the short straw when it comes to equipment. But as you say, it makes the video more interesting. Thanks Greg.
I enjoyed your videos. I love what you do. The struggle is real brother. I love how you just get back to what u have to to, get done no matter what's happening or going wrong. Hi Finn. 👋 love seeing him too. He Definitely is lucky to have you and other way around. Huge fan here a girl from Maine. God bless 🙌 Greg! Till next time. I'll watch you in the next episode....
Southwest corner of Michigan Berrien county . When I was a kid we had a foot or 2 of ice we could leave our shanties out all winter now ice last for a week or couple days at a time.
Greg, what u heard thrashin around in the bush was probably a Sasquatch wanting that Deer ya took that he thought was gonna be his supper. Better to leave some scraps or something for him. If Finn starts actin weird, you'll know 😮😅😂
He is so easy to relate to... There's something always goes wrong or you're always missing something are you left something... Butt he overcomes each time...
To save yourself any hassle in the future, if youre ever doing anything where someone could possibly question you, just put on a hi-vis vest. No on questions the Hi-vis vest.
I've done roadkill salvage before too! Both elk and deer! I soak the bruised meat in salt water overnight to draw out the blood and grind it for burger!!
I think this video was great I bet that fish was really good and I bet the yam and the potato was great I'm so sorry to see that somebody took your elk is that the game wardens and stuff gave you a permit for I'm so sorry about that Greg that that would have been a substantial amount of meat and a great catching Coke or roadside catch cook thing but I'm glad you did this video it looks great and I can't wait to see more from you like always you are one of my favorite UA-camrs. If you had a collaboration with aces first cast videos and Micah's high adventure with Zach Fowler all four of you go out there and even with their dad me ancient is what they call him that would be phenomenal and you guys could do like a 3-day adventure together and have some merchandise and have people send money or do a live stream with them or something that would be awesome. Anyways great video can't wait to see more from you and have a great week and God bless you and give him a big hug and a pat on the head from me to him end yourself also lol.
Hopefully there summer fishing! Water levels are so low right now! Watched your last 3h vid last night awesome! I was so happy about the elk cause Amos caught most of the food on van Island. Then sadness. Keep on keeping on!
you can see his little eyes light up whenever he uses that winch, he is so in love with his winch, its very sweet
Always a great video Greg. So sorry you lost your elk. I'm looking forward to your next fireside chat. Until then, stay safe. Bye Finn.
Ovens id just like to say I appreciate every single vid u do ! You have helped me and God knows how many other people! With ur positive outlook on life ! Love from Ireland 🇮🇪
As a fellow Scotsman I must say I love yer kind 🤘🏻❤️
And as a fellow Irish ☘️ man I also agree 👍

Hello, thank you for sharing! I miss those wood fires! Just something comforting about them. Have a fun weekend Finn and Greg.
Just pack and go. Make a plan. You'll forget stuff, but you learn for next time! Just came back from a little camping trip with electric in our tent. It was great for 3 days.

I totally agree. There is so much crap content on social platforms this is wholesome content!!!!
I like the short videos but I also like the long videos. I fall asleep to your hour long videos brings me so much peace
I’m with Greg on ice fishing. Much better in the summer
😂For SURE!
I too, only enjoy ice fishing in the summer😁
100% i like ice fishing but I much rather be out on the water in the sun actively trying to get them on!
Greg tripping on 1 fish. It's the small things that makes us love you Greg
Finn is a good dog and healthy ty Greg for another awsome video
Greg you and Steve Wallis would be a hell of a pair in the bush, get together for a awesome video
I e never even heard Greg say hell or any other swear words so he’s proof that swearing is not manly at all. His shows are a great example of what men are about, and so entertaining.
I think it should be scripted and funny, somebody tell crave.
@@zinnia3684 As if swearing and being manly would exclude each other and as if one guy was proof of that. 😂😂😂
Congrats on your new truck

We love every minute of every Island video you make! Bring somebody new like the bearded Woodsman
Totally agree 👍

You and Fins survival in the wild videos are the highlight of my day
Love this reminds me of fishing and ice fishing when i was in foster care ❤😊
Great time watching you do your thing Greg. As far as the Elk goes.. we win some and lose some but regardless of the situation, this all made for quality content. Happy belated birthday to Finn and I look forward to your next adventure. Godbless you brother
Short but still better than Zach’s recent videos.
Zach has totally gone to the dogs. 👍
Zach has to many gadgets. I love it simple and this man is a simple man . Actually lives of the land herbs , teas , coffee , berries etc... love this dude . Real champion 🏆
Zach blows
Come on now. Don’t trash Zak just watch Joe Robinette. He’s got the same great attitude and no cursing.
@@redjesus6939I doubt it very largely. Perhaps for you but not for many. He’s got a following. How are you making out with your attitude.

I haven’t been able to do any fishing because of medical issues but when I was able I always checked my gear before I went somewhere. It has prevented coming up with a screw loose or lost 😊
Use the liver of the fish you catch as bait. You might think I’m nuts but every fish you catch provides bait. Love your videos Greg.
Hi Greg that truck fits your outdoor activity perfectly.
