Amazing monitor and thank you for great video buddu!
Thanks man. Just ordered one. Super excited!
the hdr of the monitor doesnt work properly
Subbed cuz you're Canadian. Lol I need more Canadian tech channels to help me find good prices etc.
Gracias por el vídeo gracias a él me decide por comprarme ese Monitor
How do you unlock it to 165hz and 0.4ms response time?
So looking forward to picking one of these up tomorrow.
How do you like it?
@@Communistgunmc love it! Awesome colour, features and gameplay is extremely smooth. Haven't had the need to turn on the refresh rate overdrive to 165hz. Would highly recommend.
@@jhaynes85 thanks!
@@Communistgunmc works good great on console
Still happy with it? no ghosting, backlight bleed whatsoever? thinking to buy one too
What did you do to get your keyboard and mouse plugged in without a USB port
Yo nice vid! I bought this a month ago, and it’s a really nice screen. However I’ve noticed there being this kind of dirty, cloudy look when looking at white/light backgrounds. Kinda looks like a million small grey dots which is kind of annoying. Is this something you’ve seen on yours? Wondering if I should return it back for another one, but I’m unsure if this is normal for this panel or a problem on just mine.
Same here
looks like i bought this monitor and it has the same issue, seems there's always a catch
How do u loosen it so I can have it swivel? Everytime I try the stand turns with it
Does this really have a .4ms refresh rate? vg27aq has a 1ms refresh rate
Thank you sir
There is a second version of dis one but the stand is different
What's the input lag, overshoot etc? it seems I cant find a comparison anywhere
What is the difference between B and BQ models?
I got this monitor and it seems to
Overheat anyone els ? It get very hot on the bottom left and right on touching
its a nice monitor
How are the contrast ratio & colors on this monitor?
Are their lack of performance a worthy tradeoff for faster response times?
They're really bad. The contrast is so terrible that the monitor appears to constantly be flickering. It just can't figure out how to display greys and blacks. It's like it can only do 5 colors and is struggling.
How are the colors?
LED TN ASUS TUF VG27BQ have G-Sync or no?
How do I plug mouse and keyboard in
Good for ps5?
Is it delivered with hdmi 2.0 cable?
Hey cant i use elmb sync on ps5?
I heard some people saying they get dead pixels after a while please update us and tell us if you experience this !
I've had the monitor since late September. Everything still looks great. can confirm -no dead pixels.
@@TechManZ how about now?
@@TechManZ??
@@d-dawg9449 have it since sep 2021 still working as charm
@@djdjddhdhd5231I plan on buying this, desperately needed a tn panel with these specs. Ik it sounds picky but I didn’t want to lose the extra 15 fps (currently on a 165hz ips panel).
Hey . i bought it yesterday for playstation but i have no voice in speakers on hdmi cable and i can't change the picture quality. Can it be done back on a hdmi cable? thanks
Hi. Try playing with the settings on the screen.
there should be a joystick button in back, press it and you should see a bunch of options to play with there.
i'm looking for a monitor for a while then I saw this same one with TN panels for cheap price I wasn't sure I thought IPS is the best . then u go and said for fastest performance lol that's what I want perfect .
I still have it since september 2021 still working as charm
Can you mount this monitor?
I also have this monitor for serious x, but quick question which trace free settings should i use ?
Does this monitor run 120FPS on series X?
@@CutieBryce yeah
@@wolverinemods6386 awesome thank you. I just bought it and was curious if I was gonna have any problems with 120fps, Thanks a bunch!
It also supports 1440p 120fps and no worries
Also works for the S
How do u enable hdr
I have this monitor too and Dell 2721dgf (IPS), but the TN is working perfect overall except colours (Disgusting colors without any success with settings, and disgusting "blue" layer over the black (dark scenes for example). Otherwise it's a very fast monitor, but IMO only for competitive gamers who don't care the quality of picture.
getting this monitor now, I'm doing somewhat of a downgrade... I'm tired of ghosting from all fancy monitors lol
TN all the way lol
@@savagegtalks5912 I thought this monitor was a ips
@@savagegtalks5912 Ive had an asus ve278q from 2012 at 2ms on 1080p until now and still thought many times about ips, even went to a friends house and now i picked this in the end. TN all the way. Cant convince me yet that IPS is better or anything else for FPS games
@@dillon7292 yes yours is IPS, but some players need something with better repose and what we is used to, so TN is still the best option for many like myself.
@@frazmeup right!
hype about something new(like new monitor technologies) is a problem when people don't know better... simple facts for performance gamers, the people who play to win. Not play to compete.
I stick with TN for personal use when I play games a while longer and I got an IPS monitor for movies and productivity on the side.
It is a TN panel so there is no ghosting on this monitor right? can you please confirm?
That's a comment....that has not yet been confirmed?? That enough should be ghosting hint!, ;(
No ghosting at all
would this work good with ps5?
soo, i just bought some AOC 144hz 2k monitor, i am getting ghost images/pixels.. would this monitor fix it?
i have also recently upgraded my GPU to rtx 2070 and i think after that i was getting some ghost images on games like war thunder or mafia definitive edition. it is really annoying when i try to enjoy my games :/
I'm not noticing any ghosting on this monitor, coupled with that you have the Nvidia which will go well with this monitor since it supports Gsync. My advice would be try it out. and mess with the settings. this monitor comes packed with (optional settings)
@@TechManZ thanks man! i am looking for this one or LG 27gl850 and just need to choose one :D lg has no "ultra low motionblur" feature or what it ever was, i think, but what i have heard of and read a bit, its pretty much best i can afford with under 600 euros in finland
@@MrBanaanipommi That Looks like A solid monitor though it's a bit on the pricey side. but if it matches your needs then worth every penny!
@@TechManZ yea, im mad at ghosting images and like that, theva paneled aoc was even worse than my 5 years back bought asus vg245he without freesync 😂
@@TechManZ actually, foot of monitor on LG seems a bit too wide.. i dont know, i like asus also because the foot under the monitor is not oversized so mouse and other stuff can fit easily.. hmmm
Is this monitor better than the curved version VG27WQ? I might go for the external powerbrick if the VG27BQ is better
if you thinking of playing competitive or pvp... Still few other monitors on the market today that got this good response time.
Today most seems to be IPS or VA, I don't want IPS or VA, I'd rather have little worse colors for faster monitor, gives me longer time to react ingame.
Even driving game I think is better on TN panels... I went from a 27' ips down to 24 tn, now I want to go back to 27' but still have TN and this is in late 2021...
and in 27'' 1440p is best, so now I'm getting this monitor.
@@savagegtalks5912 is this monitor a ips or tn
@@dillon7292 this one in this video is a TN.
I really love this type of monitors today, so fast, so little money, 100% worth it.
I'm getting this one next payday. Some time in February, because I want another one. I already have one.
@@savagegtalks5912 did you end up getting it? I have a 24" Asus 1080p, got it in Nov last year for it's 3d feature, I'm a fan of 3d. Was really impressed with the picture since it was my first monitor but it did look pixelated some from being 1080p. But I just got a IPS aorus 1440p and the color is amazing, sometimes too much but it does add a lot, I can only see IPS glow on black screen not in game. It does feel only slightly slower but the image is so good it's hard to return it. But I am thinking of either returning for this Asus, or just getting this one as well if or when it goes on sale.
@@savagegtalks5912 I got the aorus for $300 the fi27q-p, hardware unboxed gave the overdrive modes great review with no ghosting or overshoot, it really is an impressive monitor, I wanted 240hz but the m27q-x had some bad overshoot or ghosting in some lower Hz. Idk, shopping for a monitor is complicated. I do like TN panels a lot. The Acer predator seems to also be a good one. Also Asus has a 500hz 1080p coming out this year for $500 but that is probably overkill since 360hz isn't even really needed, and some 300hz 1440p IPS are coming out.
IPS is the one in the middle. TN fastest and VA is a turtle...
How high can it go?
I just bought a LG ultra gear 2560x1440p 165 hz 1ms response time, but it’s just too big at 32”. I might just return it and go with this one honestly,
I did exactly that. Works well for me on a Ergotron arm.
@@taxandvax685 so you have this monitor? Does it being a TN panel bother you? I’ve worked with digital photography and such so I’m just worried a TN panel will mess with me and bother me
@@maceinmyeyes6915 well, I use this one only for gaming, got 3060 ti a while ago and wanted to enjoy the framerates. For other stuff I have 3 other monitors, Eizo is great for colors. But my desk is 9 foot long, so...
@@taxandvax685 I have a LG 1080p ultragear and I’m just having a hard time deciding whether I should return this 1440p just due to the sheer size of it
@@maceinmyeyes6915 I have the same monitor you got. 2 of them now had dead pixels. Im returning the 2nd one and snagged this up.
My short review :
- Dell S2421HGF TN 144Hz > This Asus VG27BQ
Reason :
- Response Time feel not as fast as Dell TN
- Only show up in my macbook as 120Hz
- Color is more washed out than Dell TN
- Dead Pixels Found
oooh shit, it has a external powerbrick? :(((
Will this monitor work well for PS5 competitive gaming?
With 120hz ?
I don’t see why it wouldn’t.
perfect I'd say... I'm getting this now for pc gaming.. I'm "downgrading" from IPS and VA shits... ghosting, too slow monitor for gaming imo.
Seems like if you wish to play anything shooting game solo or online, racing or moba, anything competitive, TN is still the most reliable way to go.
So this monitor should do perfect for u, 165Hz* @1440p TN. But at my age your eyes start to go, so I need a bigger screen to see better. So a small upgrade from 24 to 27 will be nice for me now
The standard is 155hz? Or is it 144?
155
Is it HDMI 2.0?
Yes! It has two hdmi 2.0 ports
I bought this monitor and I’m scared I won’t be able to run 120 FPS on it for the series X, will I be able to have 120 FPS?
Sure will. From my understanding the xbx supports 120hz
@@TechManZ okay I was really scared because I heard a lot about the connections and not being able to run 120 FPS with some monitors or resolutions, I just bought it today and I really didn’t want to waste my money.
i run it 120hz on series X, works good
@@jabbe86 im thinking about getting it for the series x does it work well on 1440p 120hz ?
@@zlatanangelnovic8501 yes sir, works awesome
Can I use this for the xbox series x?
Yes. It can do 1440p at 120hz. Although Xbox detects it at 4k capable too and displays it on the monitor information when set to 4k on Xbox but it limits at 60hz. Not sure if it’s truly showing 4k or if it’s upscale or just wrong info
@@jacedragon yeah I know what you're on about because I got the VG27AQ and it does the same thing when 4k is on I disable it and run 1440 120 fps
yeah i use it for XBX, works really good, 120hz 1440p
Does it get the full benefit ? Of the 1ms response time to the controller/screen as well ?? Xb1x user here.
@@jacedragon dont use 4k output with your series x . If you compare to 1440, you'll notice that 1440 is sharper that's because 4k is going to 1080p then upscaled to 4k .
Are you still liking this monitor?
I do. Still using it for my gaming. Works fantastic!
@@TechManZ Awesome! I just ordered it.
why the sound so low and muffled coming out the monitor
does this monitor already have window installed in it? or do i have to buy a windoe usb and put it in my pc??
🤔
Bro windows is an os for your pc it hasn’t got anything to do with your monitor.
I wouldn't recommend this monitor.
- The lower half of the monitor gets extremely hot (without even overclocking it to 165hz)
- I've had dead pixels very often. I had one get a dead pixel within a month of buying then I had it replaced and now the replacement has a dead pixel within 5 months. Going to get a full refund on this and go for a different brand.
What did you end up buying? I was totally going to buy this one :(
@@Bacavoit I ended up getting an AOC Q27G2S. It was cheaper by roughly $100. It's not as sturdy but its doesn't get really hot and I've had no problems with pixels so far.
Is it ips or TN?
.
Please answer my question
TN
Bro this is overview not review omfg
Mine have black dots
where and how did it occur u know? also your screen gets hot at the top of display or bottom ?
@@seantravolta2667 I already solved thanks it was a little bit of the black liquid stock in the inside of the monitor, I touch it with a microfiber cloth’s and I solved and they doesn’t appear again
@@carlos18241 ok , does your monitor gets hot at the top of display or bottom ? Would you recommend it ?
@@seantravolta2667 no, I only had a few black dots because they cut off the power and it seems that the liquid inside was trapped but if yours gets too hot and makes it unusable you should claim under warranty
@@carlos18241 ok thanks man!
IPS is the only way to go bro
Bullshit, bro.
ive got both, and i prefer the TN...ips colours are too heavy imo
Is it good for PS5?
If you want to use the 120hz that the ps5 offer, then no. The PS5 only support 1080p and 4k, which means you would have to downscale a 1440p screen to 1080p to get over 60hz, as 1080p is the only resolution that support higher refresh rates on the PS5.
I use it for Xbox series X and its wonderful
@@jabbe86 on the Xbox series x, can you get 1440p @120hz with variable refresh rate on?
I wanted this but i heard TN colors are trash so I'll pass
1440p is not 2k
2560x1440p
@@TechManZ it's in the 2k category like 2560x1080p and other resolutions like that but true 1k is 1920x1080 2k is 2715x1527 4k 3840x2160 but 2560x1440p is around 1.78 times of a 1080p it can get confusing as multiple resolutions can be in the same resolution category that's why its called QHD to be more accurate or less confusing for people
Is the monitor IPS?
