Make sure to read the full article on my blog as I've added a lot of information that wasn't mentioned in this video
Today, finally, we're taking a look at the NEW and improved ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQL1A Monitor. A gaming monitor that features everything the old TUF VG27AQ has including the unique and special ELMB-Sync feature, but with a bunch of other upgrades such as improved design, higher refresh rate, higher brightness levels with VESA HD400 certification, and most importantly, it now has a better 130% sRGB color accuracy. In this video, we'll focus on its gaming and productivity performance and its overall value.

About TechBroll
TechBroll came from the root words "Tech" and "Broll". B-roll means supplementary content that helps deliver a story better, and that's what I love the most about my contents, creative b-rolls. Another meaning of "Broll" came from the Urban Dictionary which means the guy who always got your back online.

TechBroll really goes beyond reviewing products, even the slightest detail and feature were explained thoroughly. Thank you for your content, more power to you good sir!

You're an amazing reviewer mate! We get to know every little details about the product and it shows your dedication!
You deserve more subscribers and sponsorships!
Loved the style of the review. No BS and straight facts without the "novelty" try-hard style to appeal to be funny as some other tech Filipino youtubers are doing. Keep it up brother! You got my subscription here, brother!
Thank you, I appreciate that.
Much awaited review! Thank you so much for the in-depth review of this monitor. What are your recommended OSD settings? (refresh rate, overdrive, color temp, etc?)
Quite professional review, I like that. Despite price this monitor seems one of best picks in hard choice in my current monitor upgrade. For software development, some office and graphic design tasks and of course - gaming, it seems one of the best all in one bundle solution. Like that it is possible to move monitor down to table surface - then it will fit in my computer table without table rebuild.
Does it cost a lot normally I got it for 130 on cyber Monday
@@facehardt6096 438€ a year ago. So far I'm quite happy about this monitor.
Twice and ITZY was a great to see.. ❤️
Great Review.
Amazing vid, concise, informational and fantastic production values with great execution. All the best to you!
Wow you're going to have to teach me how to make reviews like this! Great job!!
Sneaky. Well played.
Can't even decide if this is still rude, when done so well.
appreciate the concise summary in the intro.. keep it up! support pinoy tech reviewers :)

Killer review, very in depth. Cheers from Seattle, WA USA!
Cheers from my bathroom, southern California, USA!
You deserve more subs for this content, sir!
Btw, where did you buy that table sir? Looks really nice!
I hope I get more subs too! Thank you for that. :)
As for the table, check out "Iron Meets Wood" in Facebook
I bought it 4 days ago a really good screen improves the game level by 50%
The level of colors is frightening in its beauty and impressive reaction speed
Elegant screen shape
What's weirdest to me is that nothing hurts my eyes compared to my previous 4k screen
And no need to mess with buttons on the side of everything through on-screen software
He mentioned something about after and before calibration
did you do it and how?
@@sherifkotb565 Normally I just ask the place where I buy the screen to calibrate the color because I will do that like twice in a computer's life time. And I do illustration.
Hey man thinking about buying this, how is it holding up??
because more the hz increase more its good for eyes and the less hz decrease the more it hurts eyes.
Any one buy on 2022, is there any other monitor on this price range with same feature
Hi, nice review! have you tried the MAG274QRF-QD 27 or the dell s2721dgf 27? I have the MSI, I really like its gaming features, BUT the first the I got had some panel issues and the replacement had dead pixels. Also, the colors are too way over saturated. I need to find a new one to replace it, but I am not sure about which one...
Incredible review. Detailed and well put together. Great work!
Bro, your vids are high quality. Great narration. Keep it up!
What are the main differences in performances between this one and the predecessor VG27AQ? Apart from the color space. Does the color space even matter that much when gaming? Since most games are made for 100% sRGB anyways.
I have mine on order! I’m super excited xD
How is the oversaturation on this monitor? I have the p329q and I'm thinking of returning it and going down in screen size and price for something like this as I can't justify the prize of the one I have now if I'm not satisfied overall.
Very informative. Thanks for taking the time to share your honest and concise review about this monitor. Sounds like a fantastic monitor. 🙌🌟
Great review! s/o to that Mina wallpaper!
Hi @TechBroll, really appreciate this review. Btw, do you still use this monitor? Can you share your experience about working with this monitor. Does it cause eye strain when you use it for long hours? I couldn't decide between this and ASUS PROART PA278QV for work and gaming.
And what did you choose in the end ?
Yrs of seeing reviews this is the best review ever, amazing man
Hi. Thanks for the detailed review of the monitor. Question please. My GPU is an AMD GPU. So, will the GPU takes advantage of the ELMB and screen tearing prevention at 165 FPS offered by this monitor? Thank you.
Wow this is an incredibly slick video, NICE JOB !! I wish I had your desk workspace it is spectacular!
Great review. How well do you think the monitor will work with the new Xbox series X. Since you are only going to get 30fps to 60fps (120fps on certain games)? I am debating on getting a monitor for the low input lag and higher response time over a tv? I am curious how well this particular monitor will work with the new Xbox? Thanks for any information.
It works flawlessly.
Will it allow 1440p @ 120fps with freesync enabled ?
My current lg ultragear only allows if freesync is disabled 😒 otherwise 60fps or 120fps @1080p ...
Hi there. Dude, what is the voltage supported by the power adapter?...I am from Chile and here we use 220V. Is it AC 110 to 240?. Thanks in advance.
the best to the point review i've ever seen.
you just take this sub
I got the first version of this monitor on a decent deal from Microcenter. I can't wait until there's an ELMB sync monitor with 240+hz. That'll essentially be as smooth as a CRT
Great review! Would you prefer this or the MSI MAG274QRF-QD? Thanks!
Watching all the way from the US! Great review!! 🇵🇭🇵🇭

literally the best review i saw so far for any monitor. thanks. :)
Great review bro thank you for the info, was looking to upgrade from a TN panel
can u suggest good ultrawide gaming monitors that has 144hz and a very low response time? I am trying to find one and I cant seem to pick any. I've only seen the xiaomi gaming monitor but I am skeptical because the colors aren't as good as they say and it has no hdr
Very nice review! i like the lighting of video
Thank you! Glad you liked the lighting, I thought it was a little bit dark but thanks!
Can't wait to get this in the mail tomorrow lol im pumped. it'll be my first legit gaming monitor.
Does it turn off the built in speakers or does it keep using them if you hook up an alternative sound system to your computer?
Fantastic review my friend. Keep up the great work. 👌
Bro I'm stuck between the 1080 variant of this monitor or ViewSonic vx2758 1440 monitor any thoughts? Love the review btw.
For my need's; gaming ((gta5, deadside, battlefield4/5, starcraft 2...), and 3d modeling/rendering (autocad, maya, home planner...)) do I need pci-gen-4 pc components or can I get by with gen-3 pc components?
Best review ever!!!! Keep it up 👍
I have this monitor, I admit still not knowing if I should use elmb sync or trace free for my shooting games. Elmb is sharper but trace free is smoother. What is your opinion?
Wow what a great and thorough review! Earned a like and sub, sir!
I love this monitor and the way you present it. thanks a lot. the curse of backlight bleed doesn't show up at all. this is great. Can the same be said for ASUS 27" VG27AQ TUF 1 Ms 2K?
Awesome review !!
Im looking at purchasing this monitor to RUN a PS5 and also for Work, word and office applications, would the text be sharp enough for office word processing, browsing use ?
I have a 23.4 DELL UltraSharp which this will be replacing but not sure how it would be suitable for office use as well (Dual Purpose)
Would love to hear some feedback on this please !!
How is on the PS5 does it achieve 120 FPS on most ps5 games??
Help me decide a 1440p like this or a 4k144hz I have a 3080, an I9-10900k, 32gb Ram, I know my PC can do 4k144hz however the price is off setting especially after building my PC, I need to know is 4k144hz worth the hype or should I settle for 1440p and higher refresh and wait for better 4k options.
I've narrowed my options down to this or
LG27GN950
LG27GL850.
excellent TUF review! pretty concise covers all.
Hi Sir! Thanks for doing a review of this monitor. I have been waiting for someone to do a review of this monitor since I also plan to buy it. Would you happen to kindly share settings mo sir after you have calibrated the monitor? Thanks again and more power. Also if I may ask, what GPU are you using to drive this monitor? Thanks
Very well made video, you've earned a subscriber!
Just ordered this to go with my 3080, i711700k. Looking forward to upgrading from 1080p
I just got mine from Microcenter! I actually like the first version better as I prefer the original base due to room constraints. No complaints at all💖
I'm a graphic designer and play occasionally. I'm torn between this and the ASUS ProArt PA278QV. Which one do you think should I get?
Incredible video my friend. You just made me purchase. Thanks for your hard work
So I should get this monitor as my first gaming monitor for Apex Legends PC? What speakers your recommend?
Hello sir, thank you for your video. Could you please tell me how is HDR performance on this monitor? Thank you!
Is it good for playing on console (ps4 & ps5) and as an additional desktop connected to my laptop(for watching movies, doing work, etc?)
I have a question please and I hope for an answer. Is this monitor suitable for a very powerful PC with RYZEN 9 5950X processor and RTX 3080 graphics card? Is this screen suitable for this computer or weak for him ??
Hi is this monitor AMD Free Sync compatible as well? When I check Asus's page for this monitor, the overview says it is AMD Free Sync Compatible but when I check it's actual Tech Specs section, it only shows G-Sync compatible.
So other than 50 nits more, 30% more sRGB and OC up to 170Hz, what else is the monitor better at? I know ELMB is incredible bad right now with how all brands implemented it from a5hun's testing. This doesn't seem to be worth the extra 150€ over the og VG27AQ.
Just purchased this during the boxing day sales, thanks for the detailed review!
Tell me how it goes, thinking of buying as well
@@massoff7742 has been working perfect for me, no issues at all, runs 4k60 & 2k120hz with no issues.

Is the backlight bleeding more noticeable over time? Have you ever received a bad panel from ASUS?
Awesome review. Just ordered one!
Could I ask a question, so i ordered this same monitor but on my OSD instead of it saying VG27AQL1A like yours does mine says VG27AQ. I know I ordered the right one, my receipts and packaging labels all say ASUS tuff gaming VG27AQL1A so I’m just confused if I got sent a different model. Any help or explanation would be greatly appreciated
Lady just ordered me one to go with my 3080ti for Christmas I'm stoked :)
How good is this monitor for a PS4 pro ! Would the colors and response be good?! Can you give me more information on that please
Whats the max Hz you can achieve with a HDMI 2.0 instead of displayport? I wanna use this for the xbox series x

My Vg27aql1a will arrive this coming monday. I was going for ultrawide. With my budget, I was choosing between Xiaomi 34, Gigabyte 34 and Cooler Master 34 but learned that they all have gsync flickering issue and some smearing. I ended up just adding this monitor to my Aorus AD27QD for a dual setup. Your review pushed me to get this monitor instead. Thanks.

How is it so far?
@@Kanovalov I was a bit surprised the image on the screeen didnt go all the way out to the plastic frame of the monitor itself, but it is as its on the picture on the box it came in. The monitor is very good tho and performs as i hoped even if it took me a few hours to get everything just right, but thats mainly down to being new to 144+ hz 9/10

Hi Sir Marv. Salamat sa review. Tanong ko lng. Default po ba ang 130% srgb or pwede po ba siya ichange to 100% srgb? Correct me if I'm wrong po pero sa pagkakaalam ko po most of the content sa web are made for viewing on most screens that are only up to 100% srgb, especially on Windows devices. Gagamitin ko sana in both gaming and color accurate work graphic design for web. Natatakot lng po ako na baka if magdesign ako gamit ang 130% srgb mode ay baka maging oversaturated yung color on most devices na magview ng design ko. Gusto ko lng po malaman kung may option po ba to change po to 100% srgb. Thanks po
