Does the Canter in Australia also have that sign on the door that says you shouldnt really take this truck off-road? (This applies to an unmodified vehicle of course.) I'm wondering wether australian and european versions differ in robustness...?
You guys are really crazy 😉👍 I feel sorry about the Canter, this was a real torture... But it's an excellent truck! I have ordered my one (6C18, 4x4) already, will get it in 5 weeks. Can't wait for it 😃 Greetz from Germany ✌️
I was thinking the same thing, nearly EVERY chance to turn back (go a different way) i probably would have... For 😢 truck's sake This was comparable to a horror film (good nor bad) Seriously, i was having a moment Great Fun overall Think the truck needs TLC after that...
Never yet seen any capable 4wd climb a vertical edge, even with traction.....now I have seen a guy try it in a bloody truck....I have more respect for machinery..........
Yeap! He did a lot right all the same.. I guess if it was a rental? I didn't see but would chains have helped, that's the truck not the track. I was going to say chunkier rubber, but oh! the expense. But never mind, he had a fun day.
Hahaha - gold!!! What an entertainer!! You have been officially rated a rock solid Brahman Balls wheeler. Now go forth and swing those big ones with pride my man - outstanding 💪💪💪
Great to see your rig out again, love watching the flex and capabilities of your beast. Hope to catch up with you guys on the coast on day, it would make for a great convoy through Onley, Watagans or wherever. Safe travels and good luck 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Great too see you out having fun Man , relax & think , a concoction of what not to do , 🤣 Get some pulleys, give your winch a chance . Enjoy . Great rig 👍
Bit like a Jack Russel with a busted spine. Nicely done. Hope it wasn’t too exie. Might see you on the trails. I’m almost finished stage one of my build of my 2004 Canner 4x4 (I don’t like to call him a ‘canter’, because he can😜). His name is Burnie ( he was initially owned by the Burnie council here in Tassie), and has a full tipper body (alas extra weight off road, but I need it for his other duties). I’m almost complete finishing off a ‘slide-on’ camper ( it’s a bit more involved than your average slide-on, obviously), but have taken the rig through Jeffery’s Track, an awesome track quite similar to the one you were on here, just on the outskirts of Hobart.
Strange how the woman filming at the front of the Fuso didn't even yell out for it to stop, when the front grill fell out. 🤔 If she did, running over it (grill) could have been avoided. 🫣
You can break anything with enough and continued force. No doubt a very tough truck!. Not sure what the operator tried to achieve maybe it was to prove that fact.
No worries, you’re still learning what it does :o) On the bigger machines you winch before you get stuck. Like that road train guy said, “might as well do it the long way, it’ll take less time” :D *if it is bogged, snatch block it, for the slower speed against mud suction.
I'm impresed with your tehnik to drive your truk.perfect location to broken the axle truk. Please try sir with weight loaded in location climb road .i 'm saluut with your job
Nice 1 mate, I pissed myself when you brought out that tiny fold up shovel...lol, I have a question, I've just bought a 4.9 duel cab, it needs the singles on it, what advice do you have for getting them?, get them made or how many places actually make them? also a suspension upgrade for a bit better articulation and ride, I'd be after 37", yours look bigger than that but 37's are fine for me, any way any info you might have would be great...
Cheers mate, yeah time to upgrade the shovel I reckon 😅. Definitely order them through AAV (australian adventure vehicles) or ATW (all terrain warriors) getting them made would cost you a fortune. Mine are from AAV, they can sort you out with tyres too. Both aav and atw do suspension upgrades but a bit pricy. My springs are SSA will give you a lift but not a more comfortable ride. The 4.9 it's a weapon, hope you enjoy it mate good luck in your build 👍🏻👍🏻
Well that sure was impressive, damn good driving and committing to the obstacles!! Those trucks are tough and never imagined it could go through that terrain.
I don't understand what yiu were trying to achieve with the logs. You would probably got through without them thrown in after yoiu dug away for the approach angle. The logs MAY have helped if yoiu'd laid them at an angle like a ramp or if it had been mud so they layed on top for traction but not in deep water where they float and get jammed under the front.. Why'd you throw them in randomly?? Don't get it.
Found the mechanical limits I see. Surprised it was the rear as the front is so much smaller. Probably just a matter of time on the front I guess. Sherpa is done for? Time for a real shovel!
Front cvs are weaker but because of the angle most of the weight goes to rear axle that plus the bouncing perfect combo. About the Sherpa, this is the last trip with it, I'm fitting a runva next, I've only had problems with Sherpa, in this case however I'm pretty sure it's only a bad earth, I still need to look into it. And 100% right about the shovel I'm embarrassed 😅
Whats the year and fg model of your truck mate? Looks like you know your canter very well, nice work👍And what size super singles you running on what rims
maybe just was not shown in video.... but did you really fully vet the winch issue before moving on? Hope so........ your going to feel really stupid after breaking so much stuff then discovering that a single wire or?? was not making good contact on winch control.... that was easily fixable. Live and learn right.
I would like to know how you are getting on with a 2WD canter, I had the thought of overlanding in 2WD, albeit considerably gentler but wonder if the front rear balance my be too much front?
Okay, can't sees myself take something like that through the trees like that. Yes an Army truck would one thing but something like that (the camper) is another. Just don't tear it up to much..
At minute 3:30 you fuckup ... You made that initial turn toooo tight.... And you almost flipped. Only IF you would have aimed straight down hill you had been okay.
Just a reminder to use Tree trunk protector when winching. You spent a heap on the rig spend 50 bucks on a protector
I carry one, couldn't reach it with out getting mud up to my knees, but you're right should keep it in a more handy spot next time
To be fair it was only a gumtree. They are basically weeds

Wheellift in a canter!!! I will just want to get out of that thrillz😳👌👌👌
Good to see someone who not afraid to have a good go
Shoutout to the camera ppl. Good work 👍🏼
Farken hell mate, was watching it at my work desk and you even had me going for the brake pedal......
first time in my life a do a comment in you tube: RESPECT! Amazing times, great work, I beat now Fuso will sell very well
Wow! A very entertaining video and possibly your best one! You have now found the limits of the canter😂 Ya estas listo para el Dakar!
Thanks mate! Casi listo, solo me falta un equipo de mecanicos que yo solo no doy a basto! 🤣

That is one hell of a camper! Back porch included. Geeze, I am envious!
Bruised but not beaten! Impressive truck, might be a match for an Oka! Love your Aussie videos.
Fenomenal ese vehículo está de lujo gracias familia y a seguir viajando

Winch was cactus mate didn't stand a chance 😅
Traction Boards
Bit of a mismatch on the truck vs shovel….ffs
Old vid ,but do you have a locker/lockers great to see you actually use it loved every minute of vid…cheers…
Thanks mate, yeah front is a harrop elocker and rear is factory LSD diff
I love the commitment when it was leaning hard over - great driving. Good video too! 👌🏼
sentimental battle scars, keep on going.

Holy shit dude! That was brutal. Great driving, great vid and great truck!
Expensive trip this one hey 💪🤷♂️
Oh yeah I think I've replaced every blinker and light after this one too 😅 oh well, lesson learned. Cheers mate 👍🏻
Why didn't you use a tree protection strap when trying to winch of that tree . Not very professional.
Who cares about a shitty old tree. And to kill a tree you have to ring bark it all of the way around
Love this, great video
Wow that's the hardest I've seen a truck wheeled. I'm impressed
Strange how the woman filming at the front of the Fuso didn't even yell out for it to stop, when the front grill fell out. 🤔 If she did, running over it (grill) could have been avoided. 🫣
It's a women filming duh!!!
And now I want a Canter, great.
Love the videos, wish there where more Ozzy 4x4 truck channels (where they use their rigs like this not just touring)
Yeah agree, some very capable trucks out there but very mild 4wdriving, thanks mate 👍🏻
Just quietly I wouldn't lend you my victa lol
😂
You can break anything with enough and continued force. No doubt a very tough truck!. Not sure what the operator tried to achieve maybe it was to prove that fact.
Awesome !! Adventurous
reminds me of when I used to drive one contract spraying, drive through a lot of stuff but when you get stuck it takes a lot to get un stuck
Where you at Carlito?
I just want to know, how much weight did it carry? Why the rear axle so easily snapped.
What yr is your truck?
how come you aren't wearing a baseball cap backwards
I get it.
What year and model is this truck?
That thing is a monster very capable. But I think you washed the grill off
How long is the box on the back?
3.270mm 👍🏻
Why wasn't the winch used.
Didn't work, turned out to be a bad earth
nice video.. please add a tree protector to your kit.. cheers ian
100%
Love your content I think your rear differential breather, at 2 minutes 40 looks as if it’s disconnected a loose tube is hanging there.

Double the snatch blocks...
what size tyres are they?
40s 👍🏻
Very impressive. Is the base rig 1,259kg total carrying 4,500 kg on the single rear wheel?
It's 6T GVM, 3.5T unloaded so 1.5T carring capacity ish
$100000 rig $10 shovel
19:00 you have a winch why break CV?
Winch broke at 10:37
I'm impresed with your tehnik to drive your truk.perfect location to broken the axle truk. Please try sir with weight loaded in location climb road .i 'm saluut with your job
Thanks mate 👍🏻👍🏻
I just purchased an '07 2 door. Can you send me info on the suspension upgrade, wheels, and canopy setup?
Check out or give a call to All Terrain Warriors or Australian Adventure Vehicles in Queensland they supply all the goodies

Thanks mate, yeah they go pretty far with a few mods
love the vid. how is the tray mounted to the chassis. noticed it moving around abit and was curious. guessing its intentional to let the chassis twist
Cool vid. You need a tree trunk protector though.
That poor truck...
🤣
I love the Canter but how does it go towing?
On 40s doesn't like towing unless it is a a small campertrailer or something, on 37s or 35s no problem but slow uphills
@@4wtruckingaus654 thanks for the info 👌👌
Bloody hell 😳👍
What’s happen to the videos

WOW impressed you bet (think I might buy a mountain bike)🤣
Did your winch die? What brand is it?
Yeh didn't work, Sherpa 17000lb, I haven't looked into it yet, could be a bad earth
Found the mechanical limits I see. Surprised it was the rear as the front is so much smaller. Probably just a matter of time on the front I guess. Sherpa is done for? Time for a real shovel!

Wow all that room you can take a real spade or shovel
What do you expect when you keep punishing it up the hill broken axle on the cards.
You should buy a bulldozer if you bogged it walk away
Being a Yankee farmer I couldn't do that to a truck!! Broken equipment too much time and money spent to repair it. I would take the "high road"... lol
Year car.......
Makes mental note not to buy secondhand vehicle off 4wtrucking Aus 🤣
You can't apply torque to LSD with broken axle and removing drive shaft won't stop diff turning without removing axle
You're right I realised later on
Mantap sobat ku sukses selalu ya
en une seule vidéo ,il a pris très chère ce camion .....
Whats the year and fg model of your truck mate? Looks like you know your canter very well, nice work👍And what size super singles you running on what rims

Hey man Buy a Skydio 2 Drone it will take Pilot and Escort videos

Perhaps Unimog would have fared better? lol
Good vid. NEVER EVER REVERSE RECOVER UNDER LOAD. take a look at your axle pinioned crown gear . It's bevelled and won't take the load 😒
Well even a total amateur could know that would not work (9:11)
