I purchased the version 2 unit yesterday, charged up last night. Why at 100 percent charged, does it feel really hot? The charge indicator is not flashing but you can feel it running.
I had the Portable Outlet CPAP Battery 2nd Generation plugged directly into the wall power source and my CPAP plugged into it. The Portable Outlet CPAP Battery 2nd Generation would get very hot. It finally died. I only had it work once when the power went out. When it died, I was fully awakened. Hahaha
@@fastsetinthewest Now I charge it and unplug it, checking every week on the charge. If bad weather is forecasted, I will make sure it's charged before the weather hits.
I bought mine in Sept 2002. It worked great the first time. But the power went out a couple of nights ago and my CPAP only ran for about 5 minutes before the battery shut off. In the morning I saw that it was still at 99% charge. Me, it's a dud and I don't recommend it. I was even turning off the outlet in the mornings, because the unit was so warm, and turning it back on at night. As it stands now, lots of money down the drain.
I'm very interested in purchasing this portable outlet after watching this video for the 1st time. I'm currently living inside my vehicle. I don't any access to an shelter area where I can re-charge the portable outlet... I believe that you had mentioned in the video that it can get recharge by exposure to direct sunlight. Will you please tell me more about this re-charging process. Are you really telling me that all I have to do to re-charge it, is to have it exposed to direct sunlight for 4 complete hours??? Looking forward to your reply. Thanks in advance 😀

Will this battery backup work when connected to a house backup generator? Say a 12KW portable generator being used for home backup power. During an extended power outage?
Does the dream station two use 12 volts? I am assuming my dream station one will be replaced with that. I have a battery with a 12 volt outlet for that. One advantage this has is with ResMed you need a battery that can output 24 volts and a special cord. This battery's design makes it universal but as you pointed out is not as efficient as a direct DC output. I have batteries for my wife's ResMed air curve 10 and for my ResMed Air Mini I am using right now that output the required 24 volts. I am tempted to buy this battery even though I don't need it right now. I just like cool devices.
I’m confused about how the charging works when you are using it as a UPS . If the battery goes down a bit because of say a power outage while you are using your CPAP , once the power comes back will the battery start to charge and if so ,how compromise will the charge rate be due to the fact that the CPAP is still on?
A warranty issue with the battery or cpap? My cpap is comming tomorrow after waiting 5 months, its a resmed 11. This portable outlet will work fine with it?
Thanks so much for this. I have just ordered mine from you. I will be needing it for event off grid.
Hope you enjoy it! Thank you!
How do you connect to solar Thunderbolt solar panel 100 w? As you said it’s all about buying the right 12v DC adapter
I am not familiar with a Thunderbolt Solar Panel unfortunately.

I am not sure. I have not had any overheating issues reported to us.

That does not sound good. It has a warranty. Maybe you can get a replacement.
@@CPAPmyway Thanks
Can I plug a multi plug into this device, and use run multiple device from it
I would imagine that you could, but it probably will drain it quickly.

When the power comes back on it will charge. But it will be a little slower charge while the CPAP is running.
I have the other one works the same as the Updated machine?
Mine is fully charged but shuts off when under load…anyone know why? Use with a remed 11 and Z2…but will power neither
No, that sounds like a warranty issue for sure. We have not had that happen on any of ours that I know of.
This battery will not work with a Resmed Airsense 11?
It in fact was a warranty issue…they replaced and the new one works flawlessly… love it

hey I'm from South Africa, how can I get one of these battery packs? we have power outages on a daily basis. I have a Resmed air sense 10
We might can send them there. You would have to call our office to check in to that. 813-704-6038
Jackery.
You're welcome.
Can this battery be recharged using other types of solar panels?
I am really not sure. I would bet that someone with some decent electrical know-how could make it work.
How long is the life of the battery?
It is dependent on your settings. Most of the time you will get 10-18 hours of it.
Is this 110 volts only?
It also has a USB port that is not 110 volts
