Green Day had a concert in Hyde Park. 30ish years after Freddie died. They played random music over the speakers before the band came out and they played this. 65,000 people sang for Freddie. He was long gone but he still played that crowd. AAAYYYYYYOOOOO

I've watched that a few times and get chills every time. It was even more powerful having seen them twice in the eighties.
I recommend watching Queen with Paul Rodgers in Kharkiv, Ukraine. There's a full show with tens of thousands of people singing along to every song, whether it was Queen, Free or Bad Company.

Freddie Mercury was born to be the ultimate rockstar.
I believe he is the best thing to ever happen to the world of music. Pure excellence.
People will still listen to Queen 100 years from now.

Parts of “Bohemian Rhapsody” were being developed by Freddie in the 1960s. The recording of the song began in August 1975 and took about three weeks to complete ... You're going to be "blown away" by Queen at Live Aid ! ... Thanks for this guys ☺

Can't wait for you to see how connected Freddie is with the people in the audience. And how connected they are to him. You'll see that clearly at Live Aid. Freddie told the audience, I love you very often. And I believe that was heart felt from him. I just wish he were here.❤

Thanks for this! Welcome to QUEEN! OH YES! Montreal 1981!!! And I WAS THERE!!! To say it was jaw-dropping is an understatement. A QUEEN surpasses every concert OF EVERY GREAT BAND I have ever seen. I cannot describe to you the GENIUS and PERFECTION of this band - these 4 guys who - with incredible improvisation - somehow brought this multi-layered MASTERPIECE to the stage. It was MAGIC!
Live Aid, 1985 has been suggested by other commenters. It's 20 minutes...each band at this charity event only had 20 minutes to perform...it needs to be seen in its entirety to get the full flavor...THIS IS IMPORTANT: look for the official version since there are other copies around which cut off an important piece at the end.
Suggestions - earlier work: "White Queen" from live at the Odeon, Hammersmith, 1975 - Later work, "Who Wants to Live Forever" live from Budapest, 1986. I have a ton more, but these 2 will give an idea of how the band evolved over 20+ year career with the same 4 members....so very rare in this era when members of other bands would leave to go elsewhere either because of ego or disagreements. Not so with QUEEN. They stayed together with a common vision and it shows in the iconic music they produced throughout their career. LEGEND!!

Bohemian Rhapsody has been voted the best rock n roll song of all time for many many years. You have to listen to the studio version. The middle section had so many over dubs that you can’t do it live. If you notice the official version has over a billion hits, the most hits on Spotify for a band over 20 years old.! Queen is by far ( my humble opinion) the best band in the world. No one can do as many genres so well as Queen. No other band has all 4 band members written number one hits. The tremendous musicianship of each member is insane. They all have upper level degrees and Brian has a PhD in Astrophysics, he has been newly knighted by King Charles III. There is so much that makes Queen so special it would take me pages and pages to begin to tell you. Thank you for the great reaction, keep them coming.

You really should watch the official version of this too, it has a few special effects that they can't reproduce live. Plus you get to see what Freddie looked like in 1975! Freddie was working on three different songs when he had the genius inspiration to combine them into this epic masterpiece. One of those three songs was going to be called "The Cowboy Song", it's the one that involves the gun, the shooting and telling his mama about it. If you enjoyed the first two, you should treat yourself to watching Queen at Live Aid 1985. I guarantee is will be one of the most amazing performances you've ever seen.

I have seen Queen live 4 times in the 80's, in the Netherlands .The Game tour, Hot space tour, The Works tour and The Magic tour. Out of Space experiences. When i tell young people about this, they are really envy me. Everybody wants to see Queen live with Freddie. Unfortunately not possible anymore. But they are still immense popular world wide. They are the best selling album, CD artists of all time in the Netherlands and in Europe. They are the only music artists who have sold more than 100 million albums and cd's in Europe. More then The Beatles or The Stones. Digital sales and streaming are not included. Next weekend i am going to see the Montreal concert in IMAX theater in Amsterdam, closer to the real experience you can not come. 👍💪

You said it looks like it's choreographed but that's a live performance. These days a live performance is choreographed, with a backing track drum machine. So I can appreciate you seeing how they did it in the old days you know when they wrote it recorded it for formed it themselves oh, and it's frustrating because now they're being sampled and no credit

This is my absolute favorite live performance of Bohemian Rhapsody. No one will ever surpass the vocal talent of the one and only Freddie Mercury. He never had a voice lesson or vocal coach. Queen “Bohemian Rhapsody” the original Video produced for BBC Top of the Pops was the very first pop video ever produced and they did it over 24 hrs and was done because they couldn’t get to the studio to do the live TV show. Also because the track was “Shock - Horror” 7 mins long and not 5 mins dictated by the BBC producers. The DJ of the show insisted they would regret cancelling it and he talked them round and the video arrived in time to broadcast on the show. And after that basically the rest is History, check it out!!! You must watch this!

When Love of my life was performed there were about a quarter of a million people there. This song is so iconic that schoolchildren in the UK supposedly learn it before they learn "God Save The King." If you have seen the video of 65K people singing BoRhap karaoke-style before another band's concert, that legend makes perfect sense.

the other band is Green Day. Green Day did it to ramp up the audience before they started playing.

Hi Diane, today in the evening I watched the Eurovision Songcontest in Liverpool on TV. So boring. It seems to me all those tunes and voices, I must have heard a thousand times in my life before. They all sound nearly the same. Not one song or voice from all these 26 countries excited me. So sad.
Now I put on my earplugs because I feel the acut urge to listen to Freddie. What a difference! What a special feeling he is able to give me immediately! Want him back too 😢 You're so right, no one will ever compare to him ❤

Nice reaction to the Queen of rock. Sadly I only saw Freddie twice. You might enjoy a song called Roundabout by Yes it has one of Freddie's favorite guitarist Steve Howe who played on Innuendo. 🙏🍁
