I'm looking at video and wondering where to get that T-shirt lol
Tissot is known as the affordable high quality automatics, most come with a 80 hour reserve as well. Tissot is an old brand known for quality and affordability. Same parent company as Omega, Longines, Blancpain, and others. So they are not only old and established but part of a larger company that makes a lot of known brands.
Chill bruh, the PRX is made in China... Only assembled in Swiss...
@@BrateTebra123 False! No need to lie with something easily debunked. All Tissot watches are 100% made in Switzerland, from the movement to the cases. Only the leather strap watches have items from outside Switzerland, where the leather bands can come from anywhere, though Tissot has never sourced the leather straps from China. Movement is made at a ETA facility in Grenchen, Switzerland from 100% parts made at that facility, and the cases and other parts are made at the same plant in Le Locle, Switzerland where Tissot has been making them since 1983. The only place where the watches are made
@@michaelbcohen Please educate yourself sir... PRX is Made in China and then shipped in Switzerland to be assembled so they can stick Made in Swiss stamp on it. A genius scam from the Swiss...
Seiko is a much more honest brend everything made in the same factory with top notch quality control. Same example is for example Mazda vs VW. VW can be made anywhere (Spain, Turkey, China...) on the other hand Mazda is made only in Hiroshima. No wonder Mazda is aleays in the top 10 reliability brands while VW rearly place in the first half of all brands...
@@BrateTebra123 Unlike you, I am fully educated on this. No need for you push a blatant lie that is easily debunked. 1) Tissot is part of the Swatch Group, which follows Swiss Law which requires 60% of the parts to be made in Switzerland with 100% of assembly in Switzerland. The movement must be 100% made in Switzerland on top of that. BY LAW!!!! A company breaking that law pays a 300% sale value penalty per unit produces, must introduce a recall on all such watches and must destroy them all. It is Swiss Law, and enforceable in every EU Country, the US, among others. Tissot and Swatch Group are not breaking that law. Further Tissot, when it was bought by Swatch Group, has certain conditions that all the parts are made in Switzerland. But here is the kicker, even if it wasnt, Swatch Group has never ever souces any parts from China. In fact outside of Japan, Swatch Group never buys outside the EU any materials or parts.
No need to lie with such an easily debunked and discredited false claim. I am educated on this, you obviously think the $20 fake one you bought on Temu is legit
Yeah, so?
There should be no barrier to entry for watches. Somebody who can only afford a $50 G Shock should be able to talk to somebody wearing a 5711 and be able to share their mutual love for watches.
Some gshocks are arguably WAYYYYY better timepieces than most of the 7000$+ watches.. like for 20$ you can get the casio royale that has a world timer that lights up the part of the map in which the timezone you are looking at is... not even that worldtime omega can do that. And its much more accurate on keeping time. Obviously if youre a watch lover youll love the automatic movements, however, some of those g shocks honestly are just better as a watch 😂 those other ones are basically fashion pieces and history pieces, while the casios and g shocks are WATCHES/time pieces
@@LWKGDfan having a $20 digital watch and a $10,000 hand made mechanical isn’t even in the same universe. Yes they both tell time. That’s the only similarity
Ok?
Prx is God tier, another option is the Longines conquest and Hydroconquest, which certain colors go from 900ish, also can never go wrong with a Hamilton field
Got the Longines Hydroconquest two-tone "bluesy" my favorite watch so far.
@@maskenball1422Really good looking watch. I was looking into it a while back but instead went for an Oris Aquis Date with the green sunburst dial and dark green bezel. It catches the light in so many different ways, it feels like it's a different color every time I look at it. Just this week I picked up a PRX Powermatic to expand my collection and I couldn't be happier.
@@JakeGittes84 Awesome to hear that. I have the PRX but in gold and as quartz. Enjoy!
I have the prx on the leather. I love it. Def 1 of the best pieces under 1k
But is not so ugly?
@@aru8302no
I bought it with the metal strap but swapped it for the blue leather. When it wears down I'll put the metal strap back on. I like the blue leather with the blue dial.
I love Tissot. I bought one 20 years ago that is titanium. It is still beautiful.. I still wear it.😊 It was ahead of it's time!
I have a small collection of seiko watches, all of the are fairly cheap, but also all work to tell time and i love the all the same
The prx is the perfect everyday watch. Ultra sleek, super comfortable and super reliable. Love it so much I picked up the gold variant today and will probably pick up the digital variant when it drops.
Fossil for $125, Top Hill for $125-$150
The prx has a mechanical movement with plastic parts in it that Tissot somehow does not advertise…wonder why
@@reign_wwe yup they do. To me, why spend all that money when you can get like a used Tudor or a Mido
Love my prx. He’s definitely right, watch collecting isn’t just for the Uber rich. Keep up the great content🙏
Don’t tissot PRX’s have a lot of plastic components? I’ve heard watchmakers won’t deal with them and some folks on UA-cam justify it by saying, “it’s a cheap watch anyway. Just replace it.”
“Idk” As if he doesn’t know how to GOOGLE
I have that same tissot and it is definitely the best watch under 1k
Why are you surprised that you can get a mechanical watch for under $1000? You can get one for $100. It’s not that surprising.
G shock gmw 5000b in wine red
The best colour is the green. Love wearing mine.
Tissot is definitely the best value for money ! These are great watches
Also, Frédérique Constant and Seiko are very good brands
Only TRUE watch collectors say that. You forgot to add Hamilton to that list
Can’t go wrong with Casio or seiko
I've been looking at that Tissot. I'm a few years away from a Rolex, but someday I'm gonna treat myself and pass it down to my son as an heirloom.
choose something a little more classy and respectable for your son over an over hyped brand. This is coming from a current Rolex owner. Good entry level watches, no doubt. Definitely over hyped. You're just buying your son the name. Get him something special like a Vacheron, Girard Perregaux, PP, or JLC. Or if you dont want to break the bank too much, go for a 321 Ed white. In the 14 - 15k price point, the Ed White destroys anything Rolex has to offer in that price range. The 321 is literally hand assembled 1 for 1. Meaning one watchmaker for one 321 speedy , from start to finish. It's basically haute horology at the Omega level. Truly special. But if you just want to buy him the name to fit in with all the other sheep that dont know anything about watches, there's nothing anyone can say or do to change your mind.
You just made up my mind. Thank you Charlie.
I think the PRX just looks classy n sexy...it's a good looking watch
The PRX uses plastic components in the automatic movement. If this wasn’t the case, I’d love this watch.
Then buy the chrono which is way bettter and can be serviced.
This is why i bought the quartz, cheaper and nicer dial (for me).
I do really like the PRX, thats my favorite watch under 1000 dollars.
I wear an Auto Chrono 1853 Tissot daily! Great watches that won't get you robbed!
It’s movement has plastic gears under the plate.,Done to get the power reserve. Its not serviceable since the movement is not designed to be. It’s the watch of watches. Looks nice but worth $10in ten years when it’s worn out
Yeah Tissot is not that great
I don’t know if Tissot have UA-camrs recruited as part of their marketing strategy but this watch won’t leave me alone until I get it. Lol. I’ve a small wrist at the moment due to an injury and my 40/42mm watches are too big and loose. I actually find myself wearing my G-Shock which is like 50mm but it’s light and comfy. I love a smaller traditional watch 35-39mm and I know it would feel better on me after owning only 42+ watches. It’s nice to see the bracelet sit down on the top curve of the wrist and not just have dial on the wrist top. Especially when it’s such a nice bracelet.
Your job isn’t the easiest but I’m sure it’s great working in the watch industry.
I just picked up a Longines Conquest for under $1k
I started my collection last year with 5 Casio watches, they look great and already increased in value.
Don’t buy watches as an investment. You’ll always lose your money regardless so buy what you enjoy wearing.
@@nikki5399 I don't know why you would say this when watches have outperformed the S&P significantly for a while. I'm up 100% on some models, I think I will make way more as they keep rising, I will certainly not lose. I do enjoy wearing them.
@@Iseenoobpeoples That’s true if you’re buying certain limited AP’s, rolex’s, patek’s, vach’s, jaegar’s, chopard’s, etc - not casio’s that are mass produced and available at any time at Walmart.
@@nikki5399 Bro, I don't have money for Patek, do you? Yes they are mass produced but also much cheaper, I see that as leverage! Contrary to what you believe many of them are discontinued.
@@Iseenoobpeoples Not having ‘Patek money’ doesn’t mean throwing away the money you _do_ have on worthless watches. A $20 mass produced quartz watch will never go up in value to the point of being worth consideration as an “investment.” It’s silly to think it would. That’s why you’re better off to just enjoy the watches you do own and wear them as often as you’d like. If you want to invest there are _FAR_ more effective ways of doing so(they just require more capital). So keep saving until you have enough to buy some real estate and keep your watch on your wrist, not in a safety deposit box.
Tissot PRX is a VERY good watch and popular, best part is it's got history as a brand and piece and the price hasn't gone up on them. I just wish it had more than three colors for the dial
Have you seen the new light blue finish?
I read an article with actor Callum Fairweather (Can't remember what magazine) and he said he has an AP Royal Oak & a Submariner but his favourite is an old Tissot automatic he bought about 20 years ago that is still perfect.
Just got 1 and I love it
Treated myself with a Wristova rep. Best Gift Ever
He's so surprised that it has a mechanical movement. Lol, you can get a seiko for a couple hundred bucks with a mechanical movement too. These brands have been around for a long time.
Ah the prx, a watch recommended by every tool in the industry
Tissot gentlemen people want the prx cause it looks lile ap but the gentleman is way nkcer. They also have a prx chrono for alittle over a grand but tissot best watch is their new chronograph auto its pr516 beautiful its about 1800 though
Only 650$ for some bullshit
Charlie That's the powermatic movement it is Lazer Adjusted and has a free sprung Balance! Only Tissot can maintain,Repair Etc! watch out for those hidden costs! At that price range maintenance can be half the price of the watch!
I have this Tissot PRX and I absolutely love it! You can literally feel the quality, the attention to detail, the bracelet design from the way it shimmers to the clasp, and the power80 movement is amazing!
Bro, Could I ask what size you got and what your wrist size is? I’m after a sub 40mm watch and have only started looking. This is the first I’ve come across. Cheers 😎
Tissot makes the Prx in a 40mm and 35mm. Both are awesome and both come in either automatic or quartz depending on your budget.
@@ph1lo Just seeing this. I have a 7.75in wrist and I purchased the 40mm navy blue dial
And it comes in quartz for $300! More accurate, less servicing, no need to reset it when not worn. Much better choice and extremely good vfm!❤
MIDO Ocean Star 200 blue.
the tisso PRX is super good looking with leather stap
Hamilton is another great watch for under 1000$ I personally have grabbed quite a few Chinese homage pieces and most not all are really nice and the quality is very good on some but I have gotten 2 over the years that were not very good, I will get my grail Tudor/Rolex for my 50th bday so not to long to wait lol
Loving the prx so far. 80 hrs is legit af
That's what I have on my wrist. I'd rather have a 2 tone sub.
I got my tissot t035 day date on leather strap and it’s amazing
Its the watch that some patek and ap owners have but also the seiko tudor etc. I think greatest watch for value if u like the design
I really like Tissot. I'm looking to get my 1st piece soon.
Same, looking at the Seastar 1000 Powermatic 80 in blue
@@CORaptorguy4That's a nice piece! I ended up getting the PRX powermatic 80 steel with the brown dial. My next piece is the same watch but in the blue dial or chronograph.
I have the gentleman powermatic 80 with a blue dial and it is an amazing watch.
Get a Tissot gentleman’s it’s $795 I think and looks way better then the prx
Whole different watch
I’m wearing my Casio DW5600MS $65 bucks & loving it 😂
I just bought my first watch. It’s a BM 7492 Citizens Eco drive. Give me honest opinions
Have this in gold and just bought the delugs rubber with gold clasp
Prx looks like a Vacheron not a AP lol
Tissot gentleman is a great watch for the money
Tissot Gentleman is underrated
i love the tissot prx it just makes no sense to have a plastic movement, i might get the quartz tho
I have the quartz. No regrets at all.
@@Topscura nice, what color? my dad has the golden one
Quartz has been the way to go for the last fifty years. Raving on about mechanicals after quartz came out, is almost as dumb as riding a horse after Ford bought out the Model T.😉
I'm happy with my carbon Swiss army watch ⌚ had it for over 27 years its a vintage now n I love it
Movement is plastic. Cheaper to replace it than service it on the prx.
Or just buy a casioak for a fraction of the Tissot and it's just as good if not better since it's a gshock.
Nobody is going to assault you and rip a Tissot or Seiko off your wrist in a big city like London... An AP Royal Oak on the other hand will be seen by spotters and then you'll end up an easy target.
Trust me, the target won't be an easy one.
@@Crmjewelers £138m ($175m USD) of luxury watches have been stolen just in London since 2018. Personally I'd not wander round a big city with an expensive watch, especially not London.
I want to get that
It’s such a good watch
Such a good option for low budget watch lover
Prx special editions are out there too
Under $1k, Hamilton as well.
I got mine this week so far I am loving it
I wear my prx more than my seamaster you can’t beat the prx for the price point
What kind tissot is that?
What do you think of Laarvee watches?
me rocking my $90 vostok yessir
My fav watch is 200 ItS the Mr Jones beam me up
I prefer the watch you are wearing…what’s the model?
Dont forget it has 80 hours power reserve (if Im not mistaken)
I love my PRX it's a great watch.
watches are a beautiful thing to collect.. I cant afford APs and Rolex but my 40 Casios are there for any occasion. :)
I love the prx but the face is just a little too small
Tissot PRX and Longines Dolci Vita> any other watches
CASIO Watch G-Shock GA 1100
Tissot, that’s in my range. And it looks nice to me. Then I can dream about something else…. Maybe some day I can afford one nice piece//
I am an Invicta watch man. That's right✌
Experts say, the Pissot has a throw away movement.
Compares a tissot to royal oak when it literally looks 70% to a VC
Thas a $400 msrp watch, you probably can get it less than that. $650 you marked it up more than $250 because you get discounts as a watch dealer.
He said he doesn't know. That is the only thing that matters. Ignore this man
Not $1000 but you can get a decent 36 mm Date just for like 5-6k.
People have to understand that some of these date just for $5000 pre-pandemic now $7000
Different levels baby
What size is that?
Many microbrands are doing great jobs, even better than seiko and even citizen. These automatics virtually last a lifetime if maintained properly and its has a good modding community.
What watch are you wearing ??
Casio mtg’s beautiful watches just about $1000 solar powered so you’d never need to worry about winding it or anything like that and just like every other Casio watch it’s virtually indestructible
*Automatic movement not "mechanical"
If you buy a $500 watch ... are you going to pay $350 to get it serviced?
Based on what I've seen with my own watch buying buddies ... the answer is no. They'd rather sell it for parts to the ASC and move onto their next purchase. "Affordable" watches get people to pay 10x the price for a disposable watch. If youll actually maintain it (go for it) but if youre like most people ... pay for the watcb that you'll keep long term. Keeping and servicing is part of luxury.
like a mechanical movement makes it expensive or something 😂 You can buy automatic mechanical movements for less than 10 bucks.
The mechanical movement has plastic parts :( Buy the quartz !!
the AP COAST THE SAME THE MAKE AS THE TISSOT - GO FIGURE
Yes it's pointless to get a ap, you just proved it there bro.
throwaway mechanical movement
The fact that he’s so surprised it has a mechanical movement under $1000…. 🤣 he’s so out of touch with reality
Returned the PRX as soon as I got it, too thin and skinny for my wrist.
Christopher Wards
Worst sales pitch ever lol.
Whos the current average joe affordable watch company that’s going to be the next Rolex…5,10,30 yrs from now
