This thing is awesome just wish it had a green light to know when its charged because I don't want to overcharge it and ruin the battery faster then it should.
How do you clean the shaver heads? I have tried washing it soap since its detachable and thus doesn't interfere with the electric components of the motor. Do you need to lubricate it as well? Any advice would be great thanks.
it's easy to fix :) when u position blade on this white part which is moving also place this two fils in correct places. If there is only one placed good it's not working properly.
I just wish the charging light would turn from yellow to green when fully charged instead of just staying yellow. or do something at least to let you know it is done charging.
Same here... the light remains amber (yellow) ... never shuts off or doesn't turn green when fully charged. Impossible to know when it's fully charged to disconnect it.
No....there is no indication when it is done charging. I called Norelco and asked them. I simply leave it plugged in to charge for about 2 hours and then unplug.
I had a newer model of this (PG6045) which is very similar to this one, but I had to return it because it was impossible to clean the main head, once the hair got inside the head there was no way of removing it, I tried to unscrew it but even after that it was not possible to clean it
@@gattigail Didn't you have a problem with hair getting inside the head under the blade (between the plastic part and head where is like a millimetre gap)?
@pingpong There is a gap on mine between the plastic body and the head, but I just brush or blow the hair away. Never gets clogged. The gap is big enough to slide a brush between and dust away any hair.
Hey there, it's been 5 years , is this unit still working for ya, that lithium battery still holding a charge ? it would be cool if you could do a update, thanks.
@@gattigail That's a pretty good endorsement ! i thought the body trimmer on that one with the plastic guard removed would make a good backup shaver for a stubble beard look. Anyway i went with a Bestbomg LED which i can swap a Wahl Senior ceramic blade into at some later date, we'll see how that go's. cheers!
I owned this trimmer for about 7 years, it completely died on me last week. Since then I bought a Norelco and a Braun, neither trim as close as on the face as the Remington. The blades on those just aren’t as “fine” I guess? They are just different, more like hair clippers. The Remington cuts very low, like day after shaving with a razor low. The body attachment works very well for your pits, chest, and junk. I maybe knicked my boys 5 times in 7 years. Day one with the Norelco I knicked my neck like 4 times.
Unfortunately there is no way to detect when it is fully charged. In fact, I called Remington and the lady told me that's how it was designed. I just leave it plugged in overnight. When the battery is low, you will know.....it runs slow.
I just use a very soft small brush to clean it. Soft like a paint brush. I never washed it. I don't want to remove the cutter blades lubricating oils. I suppose you can wash it if necessary...but I would dry it well.
Darius Torres I have got one too, but didn’t intended to have a haircut when buying it. Cause of this coronavirus all barbershops are closed in Turkey. So, I especially need to shorten my sides and back of my hair. Other parts are ok, I can cut upper parts with scissors, for now it’s even ok without touching it.
Just twist off the head and change to one of the many other heads it comes with. It also comes with the clear adjustable attachment that you just slide on. Thanks !!
@@gattigail it's the changing to one of many heads that's confusing cuz some just snap on. The beard Combs howeverI don't understand how they attach. I don't see an opening or a place it clips on. I really don't get it. Do they go to a certain attachment? I mainly wanted this for my beard and the beard Combs are the confusing part to put on
that was a useful review, ill procced with the purchase just for the beard though. Keep it up you can step up your unboxing "game" by using more detail but are do good! Peace
This thing is awesome just wish it had a green light to know when its charged because I don't want to overcharge it and ruin the battery faster then it should.
I just bought this, I had the cheaper one the pg525 I believe and it feels better more powerful, bigger battery and has the body trimmer attachment
How do you mount the beard trimmers???
What is the depth for each number settings on the hair trimmer? The one my wife bought me has 10 settings 2 - 20.
what is the difference between pg525 and pg6030? please answer. thanks
How long do I have to charge it for before using again?
@gattigail what part do i trim my pubic hair with?
How do you clean the shaver heads? I have tried washing it soap since its detachable and thus doesn't interfere with the electric components of the motor. Do you need to lubricate it as well? Any advice would be great thanks.
I simply brush the trimmer heads with a small brush and lube with mineral oil like Singer sowing machine oil.
I took apart the detail shaver accidentally and now I don't know where that mini spring goes.
Did you ever figure out where the spring goes? The same just happened to mine
I took the blade of to clean it then put it back and now it's not working right, it rattles! Anyone had this problem yet.
No problems here. Still working good.
I have that problem too
Yea this sucks!!!
it's easy to fix :) when u position blade on this white part which is moving also place this two fils in correct places. If there is only one placed good it's not working properly.
I have the PG6025 and I wanted to know how to adjust the blades because mines is not cutting
I just wish the charging light would turn from yellow to green when fully charged instead of just staying yellow. or do something at least to let you know it is done charging.
I agree !!
Yellow? I've never seen the lights be anything but green.
Same here... the light remains amber (yellow) ... never shuts off or doesn't turn green when fully charged. Impossible to know when it's fully charged to disconnect it.
Yeah - makes it seem insanely cheap. Don't know which dumbass at Conair thought to do it that way, but it's stupid.
can you use it to line up your hair like is it a t blade??
Someone on Amazon bought one & opened the unit up & it had Nickel Cadium battery inside. So Remington false adverdtized as Lithium
Cheers, mate. Nice vid.
Does the groomer work when the battery is dead and you plug it into the wall?? thanks.
No. It only works off the battery.
How do you tell if its done charging? Does the amber light turn green or turn off?
No....there is no indication when it is done charging. I called Norelco and asked them. I simply leave it plugged in to charge for about 2 hours and then unplug.
How do you attach the "stubble combs?"
Just slide them right on
What piece do you use for pubic area?
WOW NICE
I JUST PURCHASED A WAHL COLOR, SOMETHING
WITH 20 ATTACHMENTS.
I LIKE IT.
KEITH
+KEITH KUHN wow 20 attachments!! Thanks Keith!
KEITH KUHN which is better? in quality and usage?
Do I use the body and hair trimmer for pubic area or the main one in the middle?
what does a 3 mm guard mean ? does it cut 3 mm of beard or what.. plzz tell mee 🤔🤔
i have one how you extend handle for back

I have mine a few years now. Still works great. No problems. Easy to use and simple to clean. Does a great job. Thanks for stopping by !!

The trimmer is still working excellently. The battery is outstanding and still working excellently. I use it daily!! Very happy with this trimmer.

Por favor podrían publicar uno de estos vídeos en español? Pues necesito saber en qué orden se utilizan los peines de plástico , gracias
How do u clean the vertical trimmer, can it be wash also?

Is it possible to have a haircut with this device?
not really, except for just tidying. Then you'll be fine, but if you're looking for a haircut device, this might not be the best option.
I have one.

I have the same trimmer. It's nice but the battery lasts maybe 10min maximum and that's from fully charged.
Is it good to shave all of your facial hair
Its essentially a trimmer. However it comes with a small foil shaver head which is ok for emergency or quick touch-up.
How the hell do you attach the beard trimmer blades? I can't figure it out
Just twist off the head and change to one of the many other heads it comes with. It also comes with the clear adjustable attachment that you just slide on. Thanks !!

what is the maximum length of hair trimming?
@CryBaby 16 mm the longest
Is this good for cutting balls hair 😅
Excellent for that purpose !!
I just bought it, but it won’t function. Don’t know what to do
I would say exchange it for another. Mine is still working like new. Use it prolly every 2 days. Battery excellent.
