I use the Philips Bodygroom Series 1000. It has 2 combs: 0.5 mm and 3 mm. It is waterproof. I use it with the 0.5 mm comb on the armpits and groin area. It trims very, very close. I am very satisfied with the trimmer. The only downside is that it's not rechargeable. It runs on an AA battery.
The first generation Philips Bodygroom 3000 series didn't cut loose skin at all no matter how carelessly it was used. Every replacement cartridge and subsequent generation machine cut loose skin even when used with caution. I'd love to find that experience again.
The method I prefer is using a disposable razor on the scrotum. Obviously, it doesn't work well on an untrimmed, hairy sac, but after the first trim and to maintain, a razor is the best. It's quick and no stubble.
I wish I could do that. I can barely manage to use a screen on my balls because my sac is very stretchy and my balls hang ridiculously low. It's such a problem that I sit on them a lot if I'm not paying attention. It's even worse when riding my motorcycle.
@@audiogarden21I have the same problem, put the shower head on the coldest setting and put it on your balls 😅 bit uncomfortable at first but you get used to it and it tightens everything up aswell as making the hairs stand on end making shaving much easier
I find the opposite to work better. Your scotum naturally drops due to extra heat, making the stretchy skin easier to navigate. I find that using soap as a lubricant for the razor works best. Just take your time.@@InterYamah
I bought the Brio Beardscape trimmer last year for $150. That's a total piece of shit. It never held a charge, and then it just stopped working altogether. JUST STICK TO THE BIG BRANDS! The Phillips 5000 is $40.
Is the Philips series 5000 any good? Does it nick your private areas? All trimmers I’ve used nicked me especially on the balls. Also can i use it without the guards on my balls? I want the closest shave without any nicks.
@@juniorleslie9494I honestly figured theirs would b better. Thinkin of lookin into a woman's trimmer. I have no shame. Idc bout the color either. Private use. 🤷🏽♂️😂

Im very grateful with the ManScaped 3.0 its like 50 buks in my country and it saves me a lot when i meet someone but it cuts many many many times im gona try onther brand
I have Manscaped 5. I like it because it's small and handy, you can replace the blade with the foil shaver and it has a light that illuminates the skin.
@@adamsuren4368 i don’t think there will ever be a blade that won’t cut you it all comes down to user error if you have a lot of loose skin where you’re cutting be careful and always use a guard that is the only reason i ever got cut
I think that the best thing to use on your pubic hairs and your balls is a razor with five blades if you know how to use it and you’re careful you will get smooth skin no stubble no nicks. An electric trimmer will cut your skin no matter what these other companies say like manescaped 4.0.You can use a razor for a longer time if you only use it on your pubes not your face.
The one blade is absolutely the best not even close or well i haven't tried all those but if they're regular clipper blades then ya 100% one blade wins
Man, this is a difficult decision. A lot of men hate on the Manscaped trimmer. I just saw there’s a Gillette trimmer now. It look good but would it be good for the chest hair? I need something for the whole body.
The Gillette is a re-branded Braun 3 series - it has a really small NiMh battery. The 5 series in the Braun-All-in-One is the lowest I would go. Posting a full review on that lineup in a day or 2!
I understand. blood shouldn't come from there.. Here's a few thoughts. 1) go as slow as you can. 2) pull the skin tight with your other hand 3) put on a short guard if you want some extra "Safety".
Saying that I shouldn't have a waterproof trimmer because it's bad to try to cut wet hair is like saying that I shouldn't have a waterproof watch because I'll start walking in Lake Erie while wearing concrete boots. Just because a product feature allows you to do something stupid without breaking it does not mean that you will.
Just googled (I know, I know) re wetting hair before trimmer … and the top, generic, hit was ‘No, trim dry… “ but right after was advice that the best place to trim hair is in the shower.. using a water proof machine … ‘. Er?! I’ve been using a hand razor + hair conditioner for years for what’s been .. staring up at me from the lazily visible undercarriage area. Tonight, I’m going to try dry + electric with 1.5 guard and try to do the whole junk… heaven help me.
I've received glowing reviews about the trimmer you mentioned, especially regarding its long-lasting battery and overall performance. However, for grooming your lower parts, I recommend considering the Brio for Life. It boasts an impressive 240 minutes of battery life, which translates to 4 hours, or 14,400 seconds. This could easily cover 2-3 months of regular use. If you only shave occasionally, the battery could even last up to a year on a single charge. While the Phillips 9000 is reliable with 50 to 90 minutes of battery life, the BeardScape stands out for its extended durability thanks to its superior blade and cutting precision.
So ppl actually have 3 different trimmers? Face, body and pubes/butt??? Y'all must he rich cuz I just use a trimmer for non facial hair and razors for facial hair and done.
Trimmer cuts too short? Isn't that the goal...to get your hairs cut down to the skin surface? People who can't use the same trimmer for all areas are mental cases.
Owned 2, first one wouldn’t hold a charge. The 4.0 I have now won’t turn on anymore. Maybe had it 6 months. Gave up on them. To each their own and I understand experience may differ. But I’ve seen too many other friends have the same issues.
