Which one gives a closer shave? Even out of the Freebird, which give a closer shave to almost feeling completely bald? Thank you in advance for your input .
Thanks. Going with the pitbull. I have been nursing a high and tight and buzz haircut for3 years after an unfortunate trt imbalance that had my hair falling out in clumps. Today all of my male and female friends say I should just shave it off and let go of my former youthful locks. This route will also make uv protection easier, so may as well. Thanks for the honest reviews.
Received Freebird as a birthday gift and I love it thus far. This video was very informative for all inquiring about hand shavers. Great content. Keep up the good work.
I’m in the uk.. and it doesn’t look like I can get the brio over here… I already have the brio beard trimmer and it’s an excellent product .. gutted I can’t get the raze to complete the set
How short should the hair be before we can use any of these? Sometimes I let my hair grow out like a quarter of an inch before shaving my scalp. Thansk.
Good stuff, I started buzzing my head about a month ago and yesterday decided to go full on skin head, and I’m loving the look and feel so far. I did shave my head with a 5-blade manual razor and managed a few cuts and missed spots so I started searching for a simple alternative. You mentioned your favorite was the Brio, do you find that it gives you as close of a shave as a razor?
No electric razor will ever get as close of a shave as a razor. But the idea is to save time which leaves the question, "which one is the closet"? My top two I feel personally do the best for my hair type.
Have you tried the manscape dome shaver yet? My wife just got me one but haven’t opened it yet. $140! I’m scared to use in fear that it will suck. I was planning on returning it and getting the skull shaver. Any opinion on that?
The Brio was terrible. Bought it after this review, threw it away before I even finished using the damn thing. Had to take out and clean each individual blade before I even finished the shave, and the damn thing barely even shaved. Clean up was awful. I never threw $70 away so quickly. He's right about the black rings being impossible to put back in, but there's no other way to clean the hair out of it.
I’m sorry it didn’t perform good for you. As mentioned in the video the blades are very hard to get back into place once you take them out. If you reach out to Brio I am sure they will take care of you.
The pit bull it’s your best option if you want I good shave expensive but the best head shaver in the market.last a year before you need to change the blades. And 3 years if you cleaned every 2 weeks with razor blade liquid cleaner to clean al does hairs that don’t come out
@@rioscordero1903hmm I got the pit bull and a different head shaver. Hated both, the pit bull kept clogging up and seems to slow down and the battery does not last long. I went back to just using a razor blade
@@coreyheinrich673 usually clogging is a sign that you’re using bad shaving cream or you’re growing your hair out too much. I use my pitbull every day and have never had a clog. I have found I get a better shave only using water.
Brother you can send stuff back. I don't understand why people are so lazy these days they don't take things back. Yeah you're definitely giving away your money. Then again maybe you're not in the US I don't know where you're from.
I'm sorry but I had to laugh when he brought up the type C charging port for the second shaver and talked about compatibility with iPhones as if type C didn't start with android. 😂
Just returned yesterday the Remington Balder Pro my wife bought me from Amazon. What a piece of crap. After 3 uses it won't turn on anymore. On shave 2 and 3 it started jamming and pulling hairs. Cleaned and charged after every uses (every 2 days). Bought it because of the stellar reviews it received. Maybe I'll try the brio this time around. If it fails, I'll probably go back to conventional razors. Thanks for the reviews ✌️
I have one I've been using for a year with no issues at all. In fact for the money it can't be beat in my view. It's as work horse. removing even four day growth without pulling or burning. Not as close as my foil shaver but I knew that when bought it. It just works. It's my daily driver with a foil shaver for "going out".
I bought the Microtouch Titanium about 2 months ago. Thankfully, I have had no issues (yet). I bought it at a RiteAid rather than online. On average, I use it every 4 days. Works great, I do dry shaves. Ive charged it 3x and it's fine. I know the directions say how you're supposed to charge it correctly. I only say this because had I not seen all the bad reviews, I probably would have just plugged it in like i would my phone or regular hair clippers. The directions for this say to have it plugged into charge cable before plugging into power source. Im about to go use it now, so hopefully I didnt jinx it. Hope this helped somebody.
I picked up the barbasol head shaver for 25 bucks and worked great for months but like most its water resistant not water proof and i used it like it was water proof so now it turns on and off after 4 months of use but still works great and great battery life. I shave everyday in the shower and before the issue it would last all week and would leave in the shower so once it craps out I'll buy another and treat it better. Full price is $45 and with reviews of other brand i will try it again before switching to another brand
I can only comment on the Pitbull and the Remington. First up - NEVER buy a Remington. Like MANY others mine stopped working before the first charge was even used up. Total trash. I am onto my second PitBull Platinum now. The first one lasted 5 years no problems and is still working to this day. I recently bought a new one though as the battery life wasn’t what it used to be. The Pitbull is GREAT.
The FlexSeries Freebird is overrated. I went through 2 of them in less than a few years. The first one I accidentally knocked off the sink when I was rinsing my head off and it over time stopped working. The second one a few months back started wearing out as well. The light indicator stopped working, so I don’t know when it needs to be charged or if it’s already charged up etc. And then the power button stopped working so I would keep pressing it dozens of times to get it turned on/off but it officially went out on me as well. 😩 I’m interest in the new FlexSeries that came out a few months ago though and I’m interested in the Brio Raze and the Pitbull Skull Shaver. I gotta choose between one of those three. I got a few days to decide before payday. Awesome video. 🤔
Thanks! I would highly recommend either the Brio Raze (Brio is coming out with a new design very soon) or Skull Shaver! Appreciate you watching and commenting!
I got the Brio Raze because of the titanium head, but the back side of my upper neck always gets irritated. I always have to apply Aquaphor after a shave to heal it. I’m gonna try the Pitbull & see if that one is better for my skin.
I haven't had any issue personally myself and I shave my head all the time and have tried tons of others in comparison. Everyone has their own opinions and you just have to go with what works for you. Majority say it's great.

I have the freebird, it sucks. Battery is awful and a pain to clean, I contacted them they sent me a replacement. It's a piece of junk too. They have 30 day money back guarantee but don't cover shipping back to them 👎🏻 I'll probably just throw it away.
This is awesome, thank you so much for doing this. Been looking for a good head shaver for a bit and have had no clue on what to get. Been looking between the Brio or the Freebird.
Can you use shower gels as "lubrication" while using these? I do understand wet shave with water is perfectly fine. Looking to get my first head shaver soon, hopefully I'll get a great product on the first purchase.🤞 Thank you for this video.
Yes, I use pre-shave oil and then shave gel most of the time for a smoother shave on my head. Just make sure to clean out the heads because they will get more clogged than just dry shaving. Good luck!
I started with the Remington, and the battery life was terrible. They sent a replacement unit, but the same thing happened. I most recently tried the Freebird. A much better shave, less irritation, good battery life, BUT the rechargeable unit would die every couple months. Super frustrating. Freebird sent two free units my way, but the same issue happened every time. Onto the next, not sure what to try. Just want something with a good shave, decent battery life, and doesn’t die every couple months. Suggestions welcomed!
I have had great success with Skull Shaver, Brio and Groomie! Cannot go wrong with these! I have affiliate accounts for all of these head shavers on this video so before anyone says I am just saying that because I want to sell for these companies but these are truly my favorites and it isn’t at any extra cost to my audience. Hope this helps!!
I've been looking into one of these, the only thing that holds me up is i have a few spots on my dome that has pre skin cancer that i get treated by the Dr. speaking to him he says one of these would be ok an not hurt the spots so i may just do it . another great vid bud

It needs to be no more than a little stubble for best results. For sure no more then 7-10 days just guessing.

Sorry SS (Skull Shaver)
Can the Brio be used while plugged in?
Yes, but I cannot verify if it works when completely dead and on the charger. I haven't tried that yet.
I agreed that Brio was good for a week and turned into $ 70.00 junk.
How is it junk? Reach out to Brio for any concerns and they will take care of you. Never hear of these turning to junk.
