I ordered this pot yesterday and it's nice to get a better look at one. Some people don't think 35 degrees is really cold until they come to Kansas and spend all day outside in 35 F and 25 mph wind. Your video is much appreciated. Thanks, and all the best.
I received my 1 quart bush pot last week and cooked some ramen with chicken. It was absolutely delicious and thinking about making it again today. Perfect size for me for sure.
I got 1 of the Bush pot kits and i love it. and it fits in a USGI Molle 1 Quart Canteen General Purpose Pouch that has the 2 pocket on it works very good ,
Thanks for the review and comparing, I added the 48 oz to my bottle cookset years ago. Now it has the water bottle, 25 oz nesting cup and the 48 oz. All fits together. I knew the 48 oz cup had the same diameter but just not some features so Thanks again for your review
Im glad you did this vid, Ive been looking for a similar sized pot since they discontinued the Mors 1.1L pot (sadly) The bigger Mors is great but big for one person. Id been carrying a pathfinder canteen(old canteen shop version) but I think Ill pick this one up. Looks to be just the right size for me alone. I have a snow #1 kettle which I like but I prefer butterfly handles like on these pots.. Thanks
Ty for quick to answer my question the other day. I have one more for you. I know u have a lot of pathfinder equipment. Do you know what the interior dimensions are of 120 ml bush pot? Or more importantly if the pf40 Swedish mess kit he makes will fit into it? Thx. Blessings the ocd hunter.
Finally got around to testing if it fits. Unfortunately it does not. It was very close, but the bail handle more it’s are too wide for the large BushPot.
Pathfinder had a multiple fuel stove something like that 1 you're using, his comes with a bottle, and windscreen, multiple adapters for bottle gasses , for less than some on Amazon
for good consistency is boil water and dump mac and cheese in then turn heat down until proper texture. Those packs are for microwave so bushcraft you gotta be creative. good vid and stay warm
I have one of the pathfinder 1 qt bushpots on the way. What is the inside diameter of the pot? Would like to find a bowl/cup to nest inside. Any suggestions?
No....but yes. It is the 48 oz cup (pot) from Pathfinder. It is the exact same size as the French Press, but has the design of the smaller 25 oz cup. So and different lid, fish spreader bail handle holes, and no press.
It seems to be the best size that they make for a single person. Why don't you buy the regular box of mac and cheese and just use what you need. Probably cheaper. Coleman makes a butane burner that has its own little built-in windscreen. It won't block all the wind but it helps a bit. A windscreen almost seems useless because when you need it there's always a high wind blowing. I'm thinking about getting this pot but I'm in Canada and it's not so cheap especially if I get the one that has the chain and little Gadget that you can make a tripod.
I 1000% agree. I prefer the talled size of the 48 oz cup when reheating my rice and chicken pouches. If it had the bail handle and the pour spout it would be perfect.
@@BarnYardOutdoors SPAM works better! Or bacon or even chicken. Hell! Throw all of them in there. A bit garlic powder, a parmesan cheese packet and some pepper and you have yourself a backwoods gourmet meal! 🧀🥓👍🏻😉 I've never been a big fan of Vienna sausages.
Their stainless folding skillet + lid combo is stellar. Excited to watch this.
Thaw skillet is a great product. I have the new 10 inch skillet as well. A review will be out soon. Thanks for watching and the comment.
Fyi the 1qt. Bush pot will nest inside the 64 oz. Bush pot.

I definitely like the size of the pot. Can't wait to see the vid on the new skillet.

Just took mine on its first overnight trip recently. It really is the perfect size. New sub!
Thanks for the comment and for subscribing.

You will definitely like the smaller pot. I am really happy they came out with this smaller size. Thanks for watching.

Sounds like you have the same weather as I do in michigan, good review, ty..
The weather this year has been crazy. I am looking forward to Spring if it ever gets here.

That cheese is basically plastic and wood cellulose fiber.

I thought you were Brian Quinn for a sec.. thanks for the review
Is that the French press cup you comparing it to?

Good idea. With macaroni. Will the fuel canisters fit down in the pot?
The larger 8 ounce canisters will NOT fit. The smaller 4 ounce canisters WILL fit. Thanks for watching and the comment.
How about small fuel canister and the pack stove? Curious if they will fit together in the pot?
Shows are always great, too bad the public can't get in...
If the 48 oz cup was bult like the new 1 quart pot , be perfect for most my uses .

does the 64 oz SS Bottle nest in the 32 oz pot?
Unfortunately I do not have a 64 oz Bottle to test. I will do some digging and see what I can find out.
Haven't tried yet , but I'd bet it would, the quart pot looks to be the same inside diameter as the 48 oz cup and 48 oz french press .
My issue with this is that there's no chopped up hotdogs to go in that mac & cheese!😒😉 That's still on of my favorite meals.
Maybe I need a can of Vienna Sausage's with me the next time I have some Kraft Mac and Cheese. 😁

A small, microwave size can of chili will kick your lunch into chili mac territory.
Cant go wrong with KD
