- I build 2 custom shelves to update the displays for Mario Kart and Mario Party games.

Physical games forever
Agreed. There is more value in physical games rather than digital games

special editions go on shelves imo, but this is amazing for the standard ones! maybe get some led lighting strips illuminating through the acrylic holders or something

3:53 , I still have my physical copy of Mario Kart 7. I got the game on Sunday December 25th, 2011 & I still own it to this day.

Double Dash is my most favorite Mario Kart that I have ever played no other Mario Kart game has ever beat it in my number one spot.
I really like Mario Kart Double Dash. I still can’t believe it’s still the only Mario Kart that has 60 FPS 4 player splitscreen, Mario Kart Wii and 8 only run at 30 fps when you have 3 or 4 players, and the other games are always at 30 or lower. Plus Double Dash has the best battle mode!
I really, really want to set up 16 player Double Dash with the Broadband adapters
I think all of your special edition games should be shown on their own shelf or in their own space
I've used mounting tape on the back of box protectors, to display certain games on the wall or side of a shelf. It always held just fine, since games aren't heavy, but your idea does the trick too.

One day when I have a house of my own in going to turn a room of my house into a Nintendo room like yours
4:00 Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart Double Dash and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe are my favorite Mario Kart games also. The other games are cool also but those 3 are just so amazing. I love those 3 games. ^_^
Oh wow great idea. I may do that eventually. I want my Mario Party game complete and it's a good idea to display them.
Watching Mario Party 6 and 7 fall really hurt. Those are my two favorites. I think the special edition big boxes you showed look too cluttered on these displays. I would stick with just the game case.

Ooh, you even have the special edition double dash with the bonus disk. I've read that bonus disc is a decently valuable collectable, after looking up a bunch of ny old GameCube games
Yes the bonus disk is sort of an interesting thing to play / use with demos and trailers
Whoever comes there is gonna have a fantastic time.
Also do you plan on uploading a guide for game displays? (NES, SNES, Genesis etc.)
For Mario Party, maybe you could just keep all the numbered ones on that display (1-10) and super and the new one can go in a different spot (maybe along with the handheld entries, as you said).
My favorite Mario karts are in order:
1. Double Dash
2. Wii
3. 64

nice i decided this year i am going to start up my own pokemon collection found a boxed copy of soul silver last year and this year i found pokemon black. If god loves me i will be able to buy that switch lite before the scalpers get ahold of it.

Failed is a relative term. I think it was amazing. I would say the Virtual Boy failed
@@NintendoCollecting the gamecube didn't do so well sales wise, but game wise it was top notch. No other Nintendo system has had this great of a first party lineup and even the third party was good
Mario Kart 64 is my favorite to this day, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is nipping *right* at its heels, though. If MK9 de-couples coins with increased top speed and only affects unlocks, that'll probably dethrone 64 from an objective standpoint.
Also, I'd say the standard editions should probably be the ones on the mounted display. The proportions are just a little too bulky on the specials, even compared to the cardboard box games.

Oh! And you need a "marquee" above each one. Like an original Logo piece. It will tie it all up nice!

The special editions look out of place because of how bulky they are
Sometimes when I watch this channel, I can’t help at think “In 50-60 years, this will all go into a landfill”.
I love MK8DX but I think it's way too early for a new MK, it won't do much more than what MK8 already has to offer. I'd rather not go the FIFA route.
It's not like they have a lack of options to make new games with all the dormant franchises: FZ, Pikmin, Pilotwings,etc...
Well considering Mario Kart 8 came out over 7 years ago we are way past due for a new one. Been playing the same tracks for that long
