Having grown up in Eastern North Dakota, it's funny to hear how people explain driving through the Great Plains for the first time. There's something about the several hours of straight highway with no stops until you hit the next city because it's just farmland and small towns with one gas station and a bar as the only places to go to. The fact you can always see several miles ahead of you at all times unhindered is magical. Those drives will either make you go crazy or you'll genuinely enjoy every step of the way despite looking at basically nothing.
I remember going to The Badlands in SD on a family trip. My parents thought the city (Rapid City or Sioux Falls?) was pretty close (pre-GPS when people used actual atlases and road signs) because they could actually see the lights. They were wrong. I'm pretty sure I went to the Gamestop in FL where the uploader went.

Man seeing that Toys R Us was like seeing a childhood friend you used to hang out a lot with only to find out he had a terrible downfall and is a shell of its formerself barely hanging on to any semblance of what they used to be. It's really sad. Also love how you added Los Pollos Hermanos to the state of New Mexico lol, and you found a Shiny Walmart, nice!
Amazing video! The GameStop that you went to in Illinois is my local GameStop and I was freaking out when you went there! Also the gas station sign and highway footage was shot right outside of the town aswell!!
Me and my mom have a mission similar to this. We’re trying to visit the state house of all 50 states, because we have a booklet called the Capital Collection. We got our copy in New Hampshire, and we already were 4 states into the mission. Basically, each one has a stamp room, so you enter the state house, find that room, & stamp the page of the corresponding state. But if you missed a stamp, u can write to the company to send you a sticker version of it, which we did. I live in Rhode Island, and we’ve already covered all the states we can easily drive to, the farthest being Virginia(but not in 1 day!). Next, we’re gonna do Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah. We’re taking this 1 short trip in our budget at a time, because we’re not made of money and energy like you.

Now Bathaniel needs to do an “EB Games” in every Canadian province.
That would be BRUTAL
It has been renamed to GameStop in Canada
EB games is Australian, not Canadian.
@@Wakapat_YT was also Canadian, but recently rebranded to GameStop.
@@Mrchair734 he can come to the land down unda then
As someone who loved Ted Nivison's video on visiting every Rainforest Cafe and has never been to America, this was a fantastic road trip video! Ohio was crazy, and it was cool seeing some of the less popular states like Montana and Wyoming
Speaking of Ohio, he probably went to the worst Ohio game stop possible
15:57 My backup GameStop if the one close to me ever closes.
21:26 there goes the Mr. Beast collab
Lol
26:04 Aaah. Hurricane, Utah. That's my home town, I live literally 3 blocks from that intersection
Also where the fnaf franchise takes place
@@losisansgaming2628 I don't think that's true lol
@@xJackieBx it's true for the novels
It's canon in lore
Huh, learn something new everyday. Lived here since since '91 and had no Idea FNAF was based around here
I'm 90% sure the south dakota store used to be an electronics boutique. Not an EB games, but the original color scheme for electronics boutique before it got rebranded/bought out. My local mall had one when I was growing up and I recognize those purple walls anywhere.
Now this makes me want to do this myself but instead of going to GameStop in every state just going to attractions and theme parks in every state. But that would definitely be a lot more expensive.
13:25 holes in the stop sign
Only in Ohio
@@prodSpazeY Those are vent holes that allow wind to pass through the sign. Those prevent the sign from being knocked over from the wind. Look it up its done on purpose.
That’s Ohio for you
10:20 coming from a Rhode Islander, the city where that GameStop is (Woonsocket) is just sketchy in general so your feelings were completely valid
30:07 just noticed the bloons music, nice 👍
Love that soundtrack
Same
28:00 As an east texan, i can confirm people carrying things in their trucks without anything to hold them down is a common occurence
Do I stand alone in believing Nathaniel Bandy should be included in the Guinness Book of World Records for visiting every GameStop within the United States?
yes you do because he didn't he just went to one in each state, not every one of them
@@clocknerd9930 True
Actually, to me it seemed as though he only went to one, each state?
Even the abandoned one in Tennessee!
Great video! Kudos to everyone involved for sticking out the journey. I know this was exhausting 😭
I love the insane stuff Nathaniel is doing on his channel recently
yes he has done lots of cool and wacky things over the years
Hey Nathaniel!! So funny story that Massachusetts GameStop you went to is in my hometown Millbury!! Just wanted to say that it’s super cool to see someone I watched their content growing up actually go visit my hometown!!
I really gotta appreciate Nathaniel’s dedication and commitment to every video he makes or idea he has. Spending a month, and 2,500 dollars just on games he already owns on this trip is something I don’t think I would ever want to do or even have the patience for. Kudos to you Nathaniel, keep up the great work
Edit: I also think you should keep the games you got and put them together in some special way as a way to remember this trip
21:14 Nah. It describes more of a room full of 1-2 Switch Fans.
26:18 arizonians like me love Wario especially during the summer as when he farts it created a a gust of wind making it a bit colder and is a nice feeling in the arizona heat of hell
30:45 I used to go to both of these Gamestops a lot when I was a student at Florida State!
I bought my 3DS XL in the mall location! The one next to Panera always had some interesting used CIB 3DS games; it's been ~2.5 years since I left Tallahassee, so probably not anymore.
Yoooo Bloomington check
Seriously though, MAJOR respect to Nathaniel for actually doing this. This probably took TONS of dedication to do. Congrats on completing this, man
“I love what Jimmy’s doing, he seems like a great guy”
This didn’t age well
24:49 “college campus for adults” isn’t college already for adults?!
Exactly 😂
College is basically a trailer for adult life
9:51 That game stop is now closed and being replaced with a new store in lower Manhattan.
16:10 I like how in the background of that picture, I can see the Delorean Time Machine set!
Directly to the right of his shoulder right?
Idk why I'm feeling joy at the fact he's going to the same gamestop I've been to pretty often. I used to volunteer at the movie theater right next to it at kahala mall in Hawaii
Edit: YOU WENT TO OUR DAVE AND BUSTERS TOO I recognize the layout, it's crystal clear in my brain
Wow that's a good eye on the D&B.... I was actually wondring where that shot was, Couldn't figure it out at first, but now that you mention it the railing is a dead give away.
I was surprised he went to Hawai'i and not Oahu
@@greensabr200 Sorry not sure if you're making a joke or you honestly can't tell. Kahala Mall and D&B are on Oahu. All evidence suggests he did not in fact go to the big island (The Hawaii island).
14:12 love how you got my favorite game franchise in my state
27:45 wait a goddamn minute THATS MY HOME STORE. I WORK AT THAT ONE. AGHHHHHH
Noice

17:45 I've actually been to that plaza a good couple times, Legends Outlets, and it's basically just a mall outdoors. Still a really swank place.
For anyone wondering, the music at 11:50 is Dark Hollow from Spyro.
What is the music at 13:07 when the arrive at Ohio
It's driving me crazy
17:46 i was on vacation in 2019 with my family and saw that exact gamestop with a mario maker 2 poster
26:24 is this a Breaking Bad reference
7:57 bro went to the GameStop I've been to the most
27:08 that one is a hour drive from where I live, awesome to see a GameStop I've been to :)
24:20 the strip mall owners have to approve the signs that go on the building. It isn't uncommon for the owner to require all tenants have the same color channel letters. (The Verizon sign is also all white. It usually has a red check.)
Source: I grew up working in a family sign business.
The one out in Arkansas was near the college I went to for about 2 years! Glad to see that you went there! It’s nothing special there but it’s really cool to see a place that I have been to multiple times on UA-cam 28:55
Uh… what happened to john?
I’m a crazy collector and I go to multiple GameStop in a single day sometimes trying to find one specific item. I’ve been to every GameStop in my state at this point, and instantly knew which one you were at when you got there.
4:54 the music fits in so well
