Rc Basher Boi I jumped mine off a one foot jump and the chassis bent, all four arms snapped and the spur gear stripped I would not recommend it. Get traxxas bandit instead

I've had the Outcast, which the Notorious is based on and would say the opposite is true. Firstly the outcast has a thick metal chassis AND an all steel drivetrain so both the pinion and spur are steel. I've hit a tree head on at over 40mph+ and it didn't break (or bend) anything. Likewise I've actually backflipped my outcast off my 30ft high barn roof and it landed upside down nothing broke. I've a video where it cartwheels sideways wheel over wheel around a dozen times and all four arms are still intact, as was the transmission and that kind of tumble puts huge pressure on a car. A traxxas bandit wouldn't have survived any of the above. Indeed the outcast/notorious is one of the most bulletproof cars sold today. The Traxxas bandit VXL is a great car in the dry and very nice at high speed on blacktop, however it can't do half the thing the outcast/notorious can. If 30ft jumps don't bend it can't see a 1ft doing it?
@@DriftomaniacsRC : I own metal chassis vehicles as well and they are tough as nails. People now a days are so fanatic to traxxas they just don't see what other brands are out there. They just stick to that brand. In reality there's nothing wrong with that but, there's other brands out there that are much durable and more efficient than traxxas. That's just my opinion.
The Arrma Notorious is a super car.

Notorious just scoots under the $500 mark but such an awesome rig! Granite is an awesome choice as well!

If anyone is new and is not sure what RC truck to get I'm telling you to get the Arrma big rock BLX. You will not Regret it. In my opinion is the best truck all around in speed power durability etc. for only 450 Canadian or 320 American dollar. At first i wasn't sure if a truck for this price would do what i want being on the cheap side. But not just me but anyone that sees it go is amazed of the power and speed this thing has. P.S you need to buy an And Lipo 3S 35C battery and charger because it doesn't come with one, and Neither do about 90% of hobby grade RC truck. At the end of the day i Paid close to $700 Canadian.

Can you do a review video on these vehicles? This just seems like a commercial. I don't mean any offense by that. Just. Trying to get a better idea of which would be the best buy. I.e... longevity of servos, are there any complaints about defective tires, or parts? Which is best for crawling, speed, or both. Those kinds of things.

I was looking at pro line pro mt roller kit, arrma rtr mt, or the helion mt.
I got my King's motor explorer roller for only $100...That thing has 4mm thick chassis..it's beffier than the those arrma and better built All the way around. RTR are $350 (less batteries). 4s system. Rollers are $250 9 it would be around $500 for a decent 4082-4092 and 150A esc and a decent 6S 50C 5000 mah.
I got a couple of KT-12 (HBX/redcat) for $40 -ea (NIB) with staduim truck body. It's basically a 1/12 trucky.. converted to brushless, 2825 3100 KV, 60A, metal cvd, oil shocks 3s 40C 1500 mah.. You have make a battery and esc tray.(easy)..I install the pinon from my volcano pro.
It'll do over 55MPH..easy...becuase it's only 2.7 lb loaded. It dosnt break becuase it's light. It's super fast. it'll cartwheel from breaking...if you dont know how to drive it Right around $100 for entire project. It's better than 1/18 scale...becuase you can drive it anywhere. It has enough clearance to clear the grass, nice MT wheels and tires. fFull ball bearings all around.
I can get used T maxx for $100 all day long ( it would cost me $200 for a brushless project)
You cant ignore the ZD racing espcially the 2.0 version $175...3665( can size) 80A RTR. battery included....
I got the original for only $108..it's 1/10 3650 3300KV BRUSHLESS TRUCK. It just needs a stronger center stiffener., adjustments to the spur gear and sterring spring tension ( TOO PEOPLE have the ZD racing) 60A-120A 3s esc is only $15.
What do you think about the arrma kraton 4s? It’s a good bit cheaper than the 6s
Question , I love going to the stadium and watch monster truck racing such as Gravedigger , Bigfoot etc,,, but all these other r/c trucks are being called monster trucks yet I have never seen any of them at a monster truck race in a stadium , so why are these trucks called monster trucks , it sounds like they should have a class of their own ?

Big rock! Wheelie on demand NOT everytime you hit the throttle! more stable at high speed!
The HK sabertooth should be on here, i had it for 3 months, i got it for $190 and it lasted longer than my Kraton at the skatepark, the kratons chassis bent hella alot and the arms broke and the sabertooth has 0 breakages except for the body. Its a hella good 1/8 rc car

Shawn I am hoping people will off more comments on RC's they'd like to see more of. It's very easy for us all to get 'blinded' by the big names, yet I recognise there's a whole other world of RC cars out there. Indeed I'm convinced somewhere in the far east there's a car that will blow us away, and the makers sat there wondering why they aren't sellign many!

Under $350 got to go with the Arrma 4x4 3s BLX range. I'd say the Granite BUT if you're mainly running on blacktop then the Typhon 3S. That said I realise this is about MT under $500 so I'd say arrma granite 4x4 3S BLX OR the Outcast 4x4 4S BLX, which I'd recommend if your budget will reach it

Hey man. I want to buy a new car. I have a arrma granite 3s 4x4 brushless. Should i buy arrma thypoon for about 400 dollar? Or should i check out others. I also want a rally/ wrc like car with speed up to about 100 kmt. Any sugestion? Thanks for a great video as allways! Kindly
If you have the arrma granite 3s blx then DO NOT by the typhon 3s blx far too close in terms of performance etc. If you've $400 save that little bit extra and buy the Typhon 6s at $479 HUGE AMOUNT MORE CAR FOR THE MONEY! all metal drivetrain and chassis, I have owned all four versions and loved everyone, once you try a 6s one you won't look back BUT DO NOT BUY the 3S one! :-)
The brushed Traxxas Stampede 4x4 is $320. I would recommend that over the 2 wheel drive Bigfoot. Yeah, it's a hundred or so more than the 2 wheel drive, but a much better vehicle overall. I think the brushless version is still under $500 as well but don't quote me on that.

With the 500, I would probably buy a Stampede/Rustler, then upgrade with rpm/TRX aluminum parts.

I would SAVE $150 more and get the 6s typhon, you will not regret it, it's like spending $150 more and getting $300 worth more of car.

Please tell me this isn't best to worst list cause no way the stampede comes in front of the granite. No way! Its comparing a 15 year old truck to a brand new designed tough built truck. No comparison between the 2 in my opinion. Had them both. No way stampede is a better value lol.
Chris this list isn't in a 1-10 order! As we'd all have a different 1 to 10 order! It is however to cover a range of prices in terms of affordability. I thought I'd mentioned it wasn't in a 1 to 10 best to worst or worst to best.
