Hi Brett! Really like the way you compare the RC models. I am getting back to RC world and I was always flying RC planes. Now thinking of a proper RC car. Had TRAXXAS RUSTLER 4X4 VXL on the first place and ready to buy. Shop in my area only sells Traxxas and it seems they have all you want and need. But… watching YT videos and seeing prices in Europe I could get ARRMA 1/8 Kraton 6S V5 BLX for the same price but I think that is an overkill. So, now on table a bit cheaper I am thinking either ARRMA 1/10 Big Rock Crew Cab 4x4 3S BLX Brushless or ARRMA 1/10 GRANITE 4x4 3S BLX Brushless. What do you suggest? Or anyone with experience. I am 29 years old so not a teenager anymore :D Thanks!
The 3S BLX cars are great! The driveshafts are a weak point but the cars are powerful, lightweight and can bash! I personally have a Big Rock and the servo died first run and I've gone through many rear driveshafts, so keep spares or get upgraded metal driveshafts. No regrets though. Getting Arrma parts can be an issue, so I always recommend to buy extras, keep them in the package, and return what you don't use down the road. AMain will accept returns back for a full year for top VIP members - as long as you don't open the package! Good luck Alan and have fun. -Brett
@@AMain_Hobbies thanks Brett for the reply. I was going to get the Arrma Big Rock was 100% but here in Bulgaria, Europe there is an issue with those parts… so finally went with Traxxas Rustler 4x4 vxl. Have a local shop only for Traxxas with everything in it :)

I’m trying to put 14mm hex wheels on my rustler I can’t seem to find a 12mm hex to 14mm but I need it to be extended about 1/4 to3/8 inch, idk if I’m just searching wrong key words or what but short story long lol is this something a main hobbies has?
Just buy extended 14mm hex hubs at the desired length and take the 12mm off completely. The 12 to 14mm adapters are all junk
@@rcyalater...2305 I didn’t even think that was an option thanks for the info
Reallly nice👍🏼
how do u keep a 3s setup cool any good cooling fans
i currently run 2s i already use a cooling fan
Yeah fan definitely help. If it's overheating bad, you may need to readjust your gearing. We use these aluminum fans on 7.4V and they push a lot of air and since their aluminum they don't break as easily.

2:11 that's Kicker Audio on there
What about the team magic E5 HX ?!
Bellow 400$ you have a reliable beast.
ARRMA just released the VORTEK can’t wait for you to review it
Traxxas should be worried 🤔
Ha no traxxas will always be better
Why? The Vortek is basically copied from a Rustler 4x4. Same outside design. Parts availability for Traxxas is the top one
@@DTYFLCS TOTALLY AGREE
@@reidisaacson9623 I was just asking
TRAXXAS EVERYDAY 👍🏻
@@alanallen2363 I understand. In that situation, Traxxas is the much better choice, and the Rustler 4X4 VXL is a great truck! Enjoy and let us know if you need anything Alan.

So the Rival has big, agressive monster trucks?? I was hoping it would have big, agressive tires. 🤷♀️
Wonder what's the fastest rc car under 400
Probably a dumb question but did arrma send yall a vorteks 4x4 to test?
No. They don't send us cars sadly.
-Brett
@@AMain_Hobbies that sucks! Hopefully yall can pick one up and do a video on it!
I got a RC car for my birthday I got a bullet nitro it’s really good
Nice! Congrats.

Rustler 4x4, Hoss, Vortex and Granite.
the traxxas slash 4x4 vxl is $430 plus a battery and charger, so the ar itself is already 430
The T maxx is actually 440$ now.
Is it good? 4x4?
@@evanicole55 Yeah It's basically the same as the E-maxx but in this case its nitro powered. And It's 4x4. It goes about 40+ mph. And then there's the T-maxx 3.3 which is 45+mph.
love the big rock.
Im not a happy when people say the big rock is the same as the granite but a longer wheelbase. So many more changes that make the big rock better than the granite, in my opinion.
I must be exceptionally hard in my RCs bc Ive broken my Big Rock multiple times.
Can you unbox the tenacity bd pro
I would like to know if I can buy your stuff online
By the way, very cool videos
How about a best non traxxas. I understand it’s probably the best brand out there. But then you got to use there batteries and charger that gets expensive.
hmmm...no redcat's
Correction,
The Big Rock 3S BLX is not as wide as it is long.
If that were true,it wouldn’t flip as easily as it does.
Sorry, I meant wheelbase to width; tire to tire. If we're talking about overall length, you're right, it's not. But the wheelbase is 12.87" long, and the width of the truck is 14", so it's a little wider than the wheelbase.
-Brett
Brett, let’s get down to reality here shall we.? The Arrma Big rock is not as wide as it is long that’s why it flips constantly.
It nearly is:
Product Width: 14.02" (356 mm)
Wheelbase: 12.87 in (327mm)
-Brett
If anyone wants to start racing the nitro buggy or truggy get the losi 8b rtr for $349 or losi 8t rtr for $399 its a great starters
Considering they're discontinued models, I disagree with that. The V2 models on the other hand look great, but they are not under $400.
-Brett
Is wrong im a 13 yk with a tto2 that cost 400 and a mini t that was like 200?🤨 but rc is my life!
How are you not gonna put the rustler vxl😂😂
What is the best UA-cam RC channel?....you know what the answer is!
M'y Channel youtube 🤣🤣
@kevintalbot obviously 😂
Slash my love!:)
I get the traxxas slash 4x4 beacuse i buy it i was very happy 😁
The vorteks is the king.✌✌
