idk if its just me but the stampede just looks weird kinda reminds of those $20 walmart rc cars the mini e revo is awsome you can buy upgrade part for every last piece of the car i personally have mine full upgraded running 24/45 gearing on 3s and it is so fun and fast
Love the Granite - was the first RC i bought for my son once we were getting back into RC, its almost bullet proof, takes so much abuse as you can see on our channel
I have a question in regards to the Mini E-Revo when you mentioned the run time. Which batteries you recommend for skatepark bashing and good run time?
Cheetah went up, it is over $300 now. All the rest still under. The little ERevo LOOKS cool, but how much REAL bashing can you do with it compared to the others ???
May i ask, what do you recommend for a monster truck where i am not looking for speed. Rather handling, durability etc. I want to slap a go pro on it, some flood lights and explore

Good picks! I was looking for a truck in that price range recently and ended up getting a Redcat Caldera 10E. For $250 you get a 3421Kv brushless motor, 4x4, metal drivetrain, 3s capability (they come with a 60amp hobbywing esc now), and it comes with a charger and 3200mah 2s lipo. It's faster and more controllable than my Wltoys 144001 and that's just on 2s. I haven't got a 3s pack to try yet.
There are quite a few things that are negative about this truck such as no slipper clutch on the center diff, and weak plastic hubs that almost always break. With a few aluminum parts it gets much better. I did go the 3s route and honestly I wish I had gone with 2s. When I first bought it, they were still sending it out with the NiMH battery and the 35a esc. Going to the 3s blew the esc. Bought a 60a and all was good until the motor went bad. Upgraded the motor to a vicious 3300kv true 540 and changed to a 15t pinion. Suddenly the 60a esc turned into a jet afterburner and that crapped out. So now I currently have a 150a toro, the 540 and 15t pinion which puts it just shy of 65mph and it's too much power for the truck.
@@obsidiannightwolfe13 So I have had the Caldera for over a year now and it's been fun. It now rocks a 25kg Hexfly Servo, Hobbywing 10BL120 esc, and a cheap eBay 3660 can motor. It rips now. I really need a wheelie bar 🙂 Edit I forgot the MX28 Badlands tired 😁 Edit #2 I exclusively run the truck on a Zee 5200mah 3s lipo now. Edit #3 I forgot the motor cooling fans
@@lunra how do the badlands do? I currently have no front drive shaft and it really shows how horrible the traction is with stock tires when you run it in 2wd. Did you keep the stock pinion and spur setup?
@@obsidiannightwolfe13 I am still using the stock spur and a stock sized pinion. I love the tires, great traction. They are heavy but with the upgrades she handles them fine. I haven't noticed any wear but I run on dirt mostly. I did strip one of the hex adapters and I really like how Pro-Line makes them easily replaceable for a few dollars.
Richie, do you think it's worthwhile swapping the Spektrum radio that comes with the Granite for a Flysky GT3c? I bought it for another truck I have but I'm thinking I'll maybe use it with the Granite instead. Great video btw.
Mister J the Flysky would be a good choice I think although I don't own one I've just looked at and for the $'s it's not bad, although I have to say whilst people knock the latest one that comes with Arrmas it's doing okay on my monster powered infraction! So it's a personal preference thing, a lot of people say it's a horrible radio but it has more adjustment on it than the outgoing one. And horrible radio doesn't really tell me what they dislike, I've had people say that and then found out they've never used one!
@@DriftomaniacsRC That's pretty much why I'm in two minds about changing it over. I haven't had any noticeable issues with the Spektrum. Unlike the BLX 100 esc. I only did a few speed runs with mine due to all the skate parks shut due to the covid and it burnt out. horizon were great though and I have a replacement coming in the mail already. My other question would be have you had the same issue?
I loved my 80A one so I think the 120A one should be worth the wait, all the RC Companies are struggling with deliveries at the minute although the oddest of stuff arrives fast!
Bradley I've got a Landslide and whilst it might qualify on price, it only hit about 43 mph on 4S and hence it's not as fast as these 5 that's why it's not in

Seems the brushless edition isn’t available yet - and if they maintain the price differential it will be $450 when it does come out. Think I’ll wait for a visit stateside and pop one in my suitcase! Anyone got any experience with that? May not be any time soon, but maybe worth the wait!
Every car on here is classed as a monster truck by the people that make them. Hence whilst you may think that one is a truggy the people that actually make them do not. I will always go by the definition the makers give them hope you understand that

I absolutely love my big rock!!! I've punished that truck and im just now swapping my suspension arms for rpm arms
In my experience,stock arms are more durable than rpm,on my Typhon anyways

The Merv is a GREAT rig! Takes tons of abuse! With RPM arms, a TBone chassis brace and 1/16 Summit driveshafts it becomes an absolute tank!
I bought the big rock and never regretted buying it.
I think it handles better than the Granite at speed!

M-ERV is going to be the better option under current conditions and it's one of the best cars I've ever taken to the skatepark

they also use some 1/8th scale Earthquake parts so it's pretty beefy

You could take it out the box and fit it in your case very easily, put the lipos in your hand luggage and you'd be good to go
