Simple. Effective. Pure engineering gold.
Haha, I came to the comments to type "Simple and effective. Beautiful." And I find this as the top comment!
Very smart.
I know you are an artist but I love when you engineer and restore. An elegant solution to a tricky problem,
Nice! You should add calibrated marks on the rod
The power and potential of the workshop increases again....
The best solution is always the simplest. Nice!
You may use heat shrink tube when soldering wires, it makes solders more reliable, safe and better looking :)
Straight and simple!
Look at you being Bill Nye the Science Guy!
I was expecting some kind of potentiometer connected to logic board and pedals where you set height, but adjustable rod that is hitting switch works too.
So simple but super effective!
Very nice work BB... I miss some of your big restoration projects.. Well take care my friend and stay safe...
Excellent idea and fabrication. You are very talented.
We’ll done! This answers a question I’ve had for a press I’m building!
Typically on machines with limit switches like this they push from the side. So if your rod had a ring on it and the switch was mounted such that it contacted the switch on the side of the ring. But if it over traveled (For some reason) it could go past the switch without destroying the switch and possibly the mount for the switch. That said your way is simpler and so what if it destroyed the switch they are not expensive.
+1 for the sideways switch with a roller! Roller arm limit switches are dirt cheap and you don't have to worry about the rod unintentionally smashing through the switch if the contacts wear out :)
Very nice work !! This was a excellent idea and will save you time in the finish aspect of your projects . But I have always thought you do a wonderful job forging and keep the surface area very uniform . Excellent work !! 👍👍👍
...lookin' good, nice work, keep safe and well...
Great video. Super clever design. Mahalo for sharing! : )
soluzione semplice ed elegante! Ottimo!
Love it. Enjoy it.
Very clever! Thanks for sharing. Cheers.
Nice!!! Smart and simple!!!
Great work sir thanks for sharing video.
Great idea
Great job 👍🏼
Wonderful idea 💡 👍
That's a very good way to accomplish this problem very smart thank you for sharing five stars brother
Very cool!
Love to see you making Gurkha Khukuri 🙏🙏🙏
Very clever
GÊNIO CARA, VALEU!
Excellent job 👍 smart person
That's a really clever solution, i'm honestly surprised it was so easy to add in. Well done!
i would suggest that you put 2 switches on the same level, in series, so that if one fails, the other one still work. these micro switches arent known for reliable, double the switch, ^2 the reliability.
No, no, you'd better put five of them there, then it's only a certainty😉.
Very cool! Unfortunately my foot pedal is mechanical and not electric so thus isn’t so easy for me. I’d love this attachment though!
Brilliant
Nice design enginerring.
awesome idea =)
Nice!
Damn that's brilliant
I'd use a heavier duty switch that would handle the constant contact. It looked kind of vulnerable to breaking. My two cents. Great concept that works@
It's going to wear out quickly
good job, I would have done exactly the same system before you even mentioned it.
Impressive !!!!!!!!!!!
Very nice.kudos to you 😎😎😎👍👍👍
nota dez 🇧🇷
That's genius.
genius!
👍I really want to see it in action.
Can you please make a medieval Halberd?
BRILLIANT!! 👏👏👍👍👌👌
Thanks for sharing! 😁

Are you a woodcutter?
Muy inteligente!
Ide yang sangat kreatif kawan 👍
The concept is very simple but I love how versatile it allows the press to do its job. I wonder if there's a company-made limiter or some kind of measuring equipment for this sort of thing in the market, because I feel like this would be very useful. Eh, more opportunity for you I say. Very well done!!
i know coal iron works have a limiting system for there presses, but it looks alot more complicated then this set up which is simple but really elegant
Bella soluzione. Ho visto che comunque devi comandare il movimento con due pedali. Potresti usare lo switch per invertire il movimento e alzare la pressa quando essa ha raggiunto lo spessore ….
Que bueno😏😏😏
Hello
I have a request for a weapon for you to make
The blades of chaos from god of war Ragnarok
And if I could have them
What happens when you get older and your beard turns gray are you going to change the name to gray beard projects? 😂
👍
Good idea but you need something stronger. That switch won't last very long
👍👍👍
Smart
