again, one of the most talented people on the internet.... blackbeard, just brilliant...i have no clue what you did but your videos are always so well produced and your restorations are amazing....
What an amazing restoration! And, you now can accurately test the hardness of your builds. You did a wonderful job bringing an old machine back to life and giving it a chance to help you. You are truly gifted and I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos. Thank you for posting this one and have a Blessed weekend.
Your restoration videos fascinate me for the simple fact that you can take these machines completely apart and actually get them back together again! LoL. I'd have parts everywhere. Great video!
What a cool machine! I hear a lot about Rockwell scales but seeing it in practice is really something else - that light-up analog display is Impeccable. Well done on the restoration!
cool we are studying this in the technical course of mechanics, (Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Santa Catarina), and it is interesting to know how to restore sophisticated equipment
Love your passion to restore these machines to their formal glory. Thank you for sharing and educating us how to approach these fun projects. Deep respect! ✊🏼🙌🏼😊
I had the same problem. I bought Rockwell Tester for a very good price but without weight. In fact after service and with this missing weight it cost me almost the same price as a new one (lol).. However I've heard that the new Rockwell Testers are not as well made as the old one. Nice work Bud! And it's very cool you calibrate it by yourself!
Oh man. I would absolutely love to find one of these for cheap, so I could fix it up. Making knives, and not having a hardness tester makes it so much more difficult It adds much more guess work than I'd like.
Another great restoration, professional work,i just think than you need a sandblasting machine in your shop,is gonna make much more easy on your projects,👍🏻
You do like your challenges, interesting project,I’ve never seen one myself, you know what to do and how to do it.just carry on and keep doing what your thinking.👍👍👍😎😎😎
Hi frm Brazil. Congratulations for your restoration work os a Italian machine. I have an old CST bench milling machine working very fine, a jewel. How do you get the instruction manual depicted on the video? Regards.
Wow great restoration! I've been waiting for a video like this. I'm in the States and purchased one of these a few years ago, only to see there was very little literature on the machine to be found, much less instructions on its uses. It appears the link to the manual in the description no longer works. Where did you find the manual for this machine? So awesome. Here in the State the Wilson Rockwell Hardness Tester seems to be the most common. Thank you for sharing this project and knowledge.
Amazing timing, I just bought a 2nd hand tester yesterday! The diamond indenter is missing with mine. Could you tell me where you bought your indenter (and maybe also the calibration discs)? I'm wondering if those affordable ones on amazon are any good. Thanks voor the intresting video. Cheers
This is amazing. This machine is just awesome !!! I wish i could get one one day ! I was wondering when you would finally get a way to test your blades in a very accurate way... Files are good, but they can be very inaccurate if dull or not used properly. That's a great machine you found. I wonder how much it did cost you, but i can easily understand that you don't want to say the price
wow didn't know you were in Italy. I have family I visit there as often as we can and we're in the Piamonte region. Were are you in that beautiful country?
great video and restoration work. If I may offer a suggestion that you place a brightness filter for the welding segments? This would make it less distressing for those with visual sensitivities.

I know it's not the popular opinion regarding restoration videos, but I wish you would speak more often. I love the sound of your voice.
This is an absolute gem to have. congrats on everything going smooth with the restoration and calibration.

I've seen similar ones in old machine shop vids here on yt but yeah this was awesome
I appreciate how you always break down your videos with descriptions on each segment. Very nice touch

I really wish this video was a lot longer. I feel like I missed most of the restoration of this piece. Great video either way!

That's a nice thing to have, was wondering that you didn't get such tester earlier, for all your knife-making!
Great job!

I googled the company from here in the states and no joke, those look top notch. Great work as always.
I love when you make videos. It's so fun to watch! I love your new hardness tester! You did an excellent job restoring it! ☺️

Very nice. The stand looks kinda top heavy.
Nicely done!
Brilliant as usual
