Sounds like a second Onana 😂. But if we can get 50 for Onana and this fella comes in for 10 then that's good business and great work by Thelwell.
Reminds me more of Bissouma when he was at Brighton, Tim is more of a ball carrier than Onana is and Onana has those telescopic legs that nobody else has but yes I agree this would be smart business
wouldn't sell Onana just yet he could be worth double after the Euros/next season end.

Villa fan here, really disappointed to see big Tim go and in another time when PSR wasn't a concern I'm pretty sure he'd have stayed and progressed with us. All I will say is that this guy is highly rated by the club and the supporters but unfortunately wasn't getting the game time under Unai so a move to Everton probably suits him as far as career progression and us in terms of PSR. I really hope he does well for you guys because there's definitely a player in there. 👍

Dyche has proved all his life that he doesn't like wingers with pace Cornet is the only one and he only played 26 leading scorer that season and never got injured once. Not saying Cornet is quality or anything just stating the fact that he doesn't sign pace and he will 100% will sign another useless overpriced donkey upfront like beto (Bambi on ice)

Good to see a player coming in early for a change. Is this the start of a new and better things for the blue.
Good to see us looking for and getting new talent in, but my big worry is that it'll all be for nothing as we'll get these new players in just for the new owners to come in, change the manager and leave us back at square one again vis-a-vis the squad's playing style and composition. More unnecessary disruption.
It's a shame DOBBIN has never really been given a chance by SD, he's showed promise but never been given a run in first team. Sad to see him go.

If he's been signed as a replacement for Gana then wonderful. If he's been signed for "accounting reasons" it is what it is...
It's a signing who will probably be left to rot in the u21s just like we always do so I wouldn't really class this as a signing. A signing is someone you buy who will be going into the first team
This has to be the way forward as i really cant see a scenario where we don't make a profit on this kid. Even if hes bang average at that price we can sell him on at a pofit. No more Ginola/Gazza signings we need more like this.

Sounds like a good signing, but let’s not put too much pressure on the lad by expecting him to like Onana or Gana from day 1. He’s going to need a bit of time to settle in.

It seems the point of this 'swap' is to get around PSR rules. So it incentivises clubs to sell academy players sadly
Regarding the academy, no we don't. Part of Morishi's tenure has been to really mothball the academy in favour of his scattergun recruitment policy. Brentford don't even have an academy, they just exclusively trade players. I'd like to see Freidkin revive the academy with new facilities and coaches to bring back that Everton tradition of bringing local boys into the side and doing well for us or moving on elsewhere if needs be
