I thought the same thing. Lukaku wasn't so great before leaving. Comes back, flops and trips on his own ball thinking he'll play like this. Barkley lost all his confidence and becomes just another player. Sucks to see great talent going to Chelsea then you don't see any of that once they are there.
I absolutely loved this Everton, they were magic! Good job mate with the video and I love the fact that lots of the commentary is in Italian, it brings back memories.

Our 2009 team was the best of the Premier League era. Howard, Baines, Lescott, Jakielka, Jack Rodwell, Arteta, Cahill, Pienaar, Fellaini, Osman, Castillo, Saha, Yakubu, Vaughan, Anichebe. That squad is probably better than the vast majority of prem teams this season.
I agree. When fully fit that team was able to beat anyone in the league. But it had too many unjury problems, mainly Saha and Arteta and few others too. Saha was absolutely world class when fully fit. What a striker he was. Arteta was brilliant at Everton too. Pienaar was a baller.
Everton was sooo hard to beat on FIFA career mode. Especially Fifa 10 & Fifa 11. If you played above semi pro difficulty you would know. Lukaku was a beast
I used to watch this team quite a lot, mainly for Deulofeu and Naismith - both of whom tended to start on the bench but usually got a run-out. Naismith saved the points on numerous occasions after being subbed on. But, yes, quality throughout.
As a lifelong Everton fan it makes me sad to compare this team to the one of today. There was so much energy, pace, creativity. Shame there’s no mention of Leon Osman in this video! He made it all tick. Even got himself an England cap on the back of his form.
As an Arsenal fan, I always hated Everton because they always seemed to play so well everytime they play us back during the early 2010s. I was only a kid of course but the quality they had made me hate them. But looking back at it, Everton had an admirable talented squad who could have done wonders in Europe if they had the right backing for a manager.
If Everton was a complete team around that time, theyd probably have more trophies in the cabinet. There were times where i was happy to even earn a draw vs Everton they were that good
The irony is that the team just needed investment. Which it didn't get, always sell to buy. Moyes left in 2013, and a billionaire chairman arrived in 2014. The irony.
