    Watch as I grade out the fill that I had the excavators bring up near the home during the Lake Project. The Bobcat did well, although it was quite nerve wracking in such a tight space. But I think you will agree that it turned out well :) Like and Subscribe to follow all of our Landscaping projects, Land Management Projects, Habitat Improvements, Tractor & Excavator projects, and Country Living Adventures..

    Looking good.
    I finally got started on my land projects. I'm in the process of putting in my 1/2 mile road on my 209 acre property. Thanks for documenting your process the whole way. I've learned what to do...and what not to do by watching all your videos. Very helpful and insightful videos to say the least. I don't have the videos like you do but really wish I did. Keep up the good work.

    since you have a thumb, one thing I do with mine is grab a large timber say 8' and use it as a rake to level out an area. very efficient and fun to do.

      Blake Carey been wanting to try that, but don't have a good timber handy just yet..

    would be a nice project putting some pipe or French drain in ya channel to the new pound so ya had an extra permeant feed for ya water levels, just a thought, luv the updates your an inspiration to what can be achieved with a bit of hard work.

      Andrew Andrew thank you. there's way too much water flow for a pipe to hold it (during heavy rain).. but good idea...

      Andrew Andrew but the ponds are already catching a ton of water and almost all of the gutters from the house and pole barn

      If you're asking how your skid steer quick attachments would work on the mini..? I can't speak to that.

    I second Donald's comment on sealing those walls, you don't want dirt (or clay) up against those unsealed walls!!!

    Forward pushing in the big 😸 Back Blading does not really help in the end (waves and bumps). Try compacting the earth more e.g. Track it in so all you see is track marks then cut and repeat. Also I bet you see Mrs Kapper on hands and knees praying 'not today, please let him see the light and not hit the house'. Had to have a little pot shot😀

      Daniel Fry LOL! I was actually thinking the same thing while I was in up close..."please don't knick the house.....!"

    why not seal that concrete foundation (below grade) with black tar before back filling?

    • @kapperoutdoors
      @kapperoutdoors  7 років тому

      Nick Romano the house is sealed with black tar and a plastic sealing Layer from the concrete guys. he said it's not a problem to add fill over the top the way it is that's how they always do it

    Could have buried the eavestrough out to the creek to fill the new lake you made. It would prevent erosion on your new lawn.

    • @kapperoutdoors
      @kapperoutdoors  7 років тому

      Sheepy Hollow they are all buried except for one, I ran out of pipe. it will eventually get done, But the spot where it is at is not going to hurt anything

    YOU NEED TO PUT TAR ON YOUR WALLS TO SEAL THEM FROM THE WATER FROM COMING IN TO THE IN SIDE OF THE WALLS . You will bay for it later flooding your basement.

    • @kapperoutdoors
      @kapperoutdoors  7 років тому +1

      donald that Foundation has quadruple protection from water coming into the basement.

    Looking good, I am about to rent a mini excavator to put 4 culverts under my driveway.... Not really looking forward to it.

    • @kapperoutdoors
      @kapperoutdoors  7 років тому +1

      WhiskeyKing good luck man. my suggestion is be sure to put the Culvert just below where the water is currently running. if you put it even just a smidge too high that water is going to keep pushing and try to blow underneath the Culvert. Ask me how I know
