Your videos always look amazing. I went through my entire life without allergies and in my early 40's, suddenly devloped an allergy to crab and shrimp. I don't know how I'd survivie in your part of the country! At least I can still eat fish.
Hey Jared and Vinnie, ya'll working those # 1s Taday! First Frost this tonight, Snow in the morning 31° 🥶! Nice fancy Crabs guys🎉. I can hear Jack the Crab pickin machine 👍. Enjoy🎃👻 JO JO IN VT 💞
Goodness! My wife and I want to take a trip to St. Bernard Parish some time in the near future...because we LOVE watching your videos. I've even purchased some crawfish traps to set in our local Missouri creeks after watching your crawfish content.
Jared and Vinny, love you two! Can I ask you, what size /brand of cast net would you recommend for a beginner? Visiting NOLA for the second time end of March.2024 Came last September , loved it so much a return trip is paid for already. (Caught a minute crappie in Louis Armstrong Park last time, because I only had my 3 piece travel rod with me and no license, just wanted to catch one fish. Arriving with bigger rods and license in March for fishing amongst house hunting!). Keep up the good work.
The size of the cast net depends on how heavy you want it. Remember that the heavy it is the quicker you get worn out. A good starter net is a 6 foot. You want the net to be heavy so it sinks quick.
@@nicolalagonigro1155 I’m sorry but I have not bought one in quite some time. Your best bet is if you have never thrown a cast net in the water where you are going to be using it. Get one that you won’t mind losing. If you know the water where you will be using it then you can buy one that you still won’t mind losing. I think my son has used the ones from Walmart. But we do have other stores that sell them too. He said that he buys his from fisherman’s net in New Orleans. You need to check the size of the mesh to. You don’t want a cast net for fish if you’re going for shrimp. He was saying something about the net with a ring on it. He wants to get one but nobody sells them around here. You can get them online. I don’t know anything about them.
I love how much fun you 2 had. You need to do that more

@@thecableguy1128 Can you recommend a good brand. Not too expensive , just in case I make a whole load of stupid mistakes to start with?

We get them on Amazon no special brand. They cost about $25. I’d start with a 4 foot and practice for a week in the yard
@@OutsidetheLevees Thanks. Got one ordered. Will be practicing in the park til March. No yards in NYC apartments!
Is there a size limit for crabs
Did ya'll forget about the square box trap???
Ah see it in the boat at the end, ok! Nice haul!!
Yeah I totally forgot to put it in the video after that. It didn’t catch anything
Can you go crabbing in rivers or lakes
To be honest. I only use fish I used to use chicken but my pots were way better with fish and scraps. That oil.
Is that Pip's boat ramp? I tried to use it about a month ago and my trailer was scraping the ramp. Granted, water was super low
Yes
I want to get a tee shirt do I use outside
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
I heard they only like boneless/skinless chicken, white meat only.
They eat dog fish they love shark
Y'all keep the females too down there?
I have to stop watching you when you start cooking I'm a truck driver now and I can't have none of that or I can't find it out here
