The metallic can-like snare tune never gets old
It's exactly how snare drums were always meant to sound. Imagine the studio cut of this song with this snare tone. I only wish this snare tone could be captured in the studio, but these days it seldom is. It's timeless.

I think Jay has proved himself over and over again when it comes to Slipknot. Having a younger drummer with a good personality and attitude really did save Slipknot, so we should be thanking him.

Im 38. I grew up on Slipknot and spent my high school years with Iowa. This right here, is just, wow. Phenomenal Jay, just phenomenal. You literally saved Slipknot man.

Btw. I think it's the other 2 percussionists in the band that are doing what sounds like a marching snare.

I'm so happy I'm 13 years old going on 14 in March I just got Slipknot's The end for now and just ordered Slipknot 10th anniversary edition gold vinyl and know every word to half the songs this is the best band ever formed and I will keep forming metal heads out of my friends just so they can enjoy the music to keep pumping out bangers, Rock on🤘
The album itself is messed up wrong name on the cover songs spelled wrong and played on 45 not 33 but set to 33 tuning it's weird but still a good album

The actual composition of this song drum wise is off the chain! Let's not ignore 2:02 - 2:15. Some of the fills in this song that are sequenced together I would've never thought of! Jay is fucking nuts.

Jay was a Slipknot fan growing up! That helped him being more appreciative and empathetic about "he's got some big shoes to fill". He is doing a great job. This is his 3rd album with Slipknot. Great job with the other new members too.
