They've been playing on their own festival with many classic bands and now they headlined on Wacken. Nobody can't say Slipknot is "not real metal" anymore. I was never a fan of them but these guys are legit. They earned their place.

I caught them back to back here and at Blue Ridge and omg. They are still impeccable live. At one point at BR, they had to stop because had fallen or something. There was a medical emergency. And they picked right back up on the 1 from where they stopped.

@@jackm4536 he has much more power these days than in 2012. sounded very thin back then. crazy he's only gotten better these past 10-13 years.
It sounds a lot like all hope is gone because he is using the same technique.
He was doing false chord screams on AHIG but it was sounding different because his voice was in a very bad condition at that time. He destroyed his voice on ST/IOWA, after that he kept destroying his voice on Vol3 and on AHIG his voice was done.
He started using proper false chord scream technique on AHIG but it was too late, because his voice was destroyed because of unproper techniques he used and because of that his false chord screams sounded very bad on AHIG era. His vocal cords was not working properly, you can hear how unhealty his screams sound on AHIG era.
After he recovered his voice he started using false chord technique again and today he sounds powerful and brutal.

@@agperformance6833 It was the last day of a 4-day festival a lot of the people were there a week before. It was like 30C+ the whole time. That was a pretty good performance by them as well
I wish they’d do away with all the gimmicks like the masks and theatrics. They’re a decent band who should concentrate on the music.
I crowdsurfed while they were playing Psychosocial, took me 3-4 minutes until I arrived at the front of the stage

It's amazing how after so many years Slipknot is still exactly the same as when I started following as a teenager. Amazing moment, band with otherworldly energy, Corey and the whole band breaking everything more than ever. hope to see much more of it

What I really love about this is that while there are some, compared to e.g. pop concerts there are almost no people with their phones out filming.
I am not a Slipknot fan AT ALL but those Corey's words still chill my bones. Every single person who has written at least ONE metal song has desired to play in Wacken.

My brother dragged me to a slipknot concert in like 2016 and I was not a fan of heavy metal at all but my brothers friend ditched so I went expecting it to be awful and it ended up being the best concert I’ve ever been to in my entire life ! The vibe and energy was incredible ! I walked in just a spectator and walked out a big fan and have been a metal head ever since !

Been to couple hundred concerts in my life, been to 6 of slipknot they still are my favorite live show. The engery, the maggots, the experiance. its like I hit 100% happiness at their shows.

I've been waiting half my life for this - and the wait was worth it. This concert was truly one of the best live experiences I have ever had. The energy was so god damn contagious... Still jumping in my seat just watching the video. With a big fat grin on my face.

They only played these 3 songs. I even don’t understand. I mean think about all the preparations of the instruments and the time they spent traveling to perform 3 songs in the end.
I will never forget my first and only time i saw them live in Costa Rica at the knotfest. Dude that was fking epic, now i watch this video and i feel the same way as if we hadnt eaten in 1 week and someone puts a 15hours smoked brisket in the table just for us.
