    You’re very good about describing the motions you want done in a very layman way. Karate chop, shave off the grip, and so on are ways laymen like me can understand.
    Great video sir!

      I appreciate you saying that, Jacob. I try really hard at that.

    Ive just started watching knight jiu jitsu as I do jiu jitsu myself and to be honest this guy explains it really good and makes it really simple to follow.

    Love the way Eli spends nearly 9 minutes explaining things in technical beauty then says fuck it don't bother with all that if you have the choice to just "Sit and bash him in the head till he lets go!" hahaha

      I usually think that’s just a given, but it’s worth reminding people sometimes 😊

    I’m
    Not really arm bar position type. Mostly cause I’m slow. But that reverse triangle was sick. Makes me want to work more towards armbar armlock position. Thanks Eli. Great as always.

      Eli. Do you have Knight ju jitsu patches. If so. Can I get one I’d like to put on my gi. Because your big part of my ju jitsu getting better. Also. Can you recommend a good lightweight but strong gi. I need another one.

    Love the channel ... I’ve been a subscriber for a while now. One thing I didn’t see was the biceps slicer when your opponent has an S grip. You showed some ways of attacking the bicep with your legs just before that. One way I’ve learned to break that grip, having the bicep slicer in mind, is using the arm I have under his trapping arm and grabbing my bicep (typically my right arm grabbing my left bicep). Then using my freehand (typically my left) to hook the forearm of the trapped arm, like a figure 4, and pull it into my body as I extend my body backwards.

    Love them all. Some new ones to try out for me. When you did that last one i thought you were going to do the triangle, did not expect the shoulder lock. I do think you missed one very easy one, people will think its a joke but i have used it and it has 90% finish rate on the armbar when people are defending. I literally tickle them, funny enough when people are pushing and being serious it throws them off. I am 145 lbs and this is what i use against everyone. That and the triangle setup like the last one.

    Yes! Will try these when I get better. I tweaked my elbow last class because another whitebelt cranked the submission. Recovery tips?

    • @KnightJiuJitsu
      @KnightJiuJitsu  5 років тому +3

      For a tweaked elbow? Just the normal stuff: ice and ibuprofen and ease of use.

    I knew the theory of how to take the back from armbar position, but this is my first time seeing a forced variation. Same with a couple other ones. What I want to know is how to finish against step over the head and pry defense (like Roger breaking Jacare's arm). Maybe you could make a video or point me in the right direction?

  • @nbueno793
    @nbueno793 5 років тому +3

    Hey man awesome video! Thanks for all the help. Quick question, with training BJJ for so long how have you managed to barely get any cauliflower ear? Do you typically wear headgear when rolling?

    • @KnightJiuJitsu
      @KnightJiuJitsu  5 років тому +1

      My ears are pretty banged up but they don’t typically swell. They’ll even bruise sometimes, but they just don’t get lumpy. Some people are more susceptible to it than others.

    Do you always "sit out" to complete your juji-Gatame? I've been taught to stay on heels (just in case a judoka has to switch arms during the scramble)

    • @KnightJiuJitsu
      @KnightJiuJitsu  5 років тому

      There’s times to do both. There’s very rarely a time that something is “always” don’t a certain way. Circumstances dictate a lot.
