@@UA-camrr285 Thanks, man! You're great too. :)
You dropped this 👑
So THATS how you spell D’Arce choke
MY FAVORITE ASPECT ABOUT THIS IS THE FACT YOU SHOW HOW TO DO IT FROM BOTH DEFENSIVE AND OFFENSIVE POSITION. KEEP DOING THAT.
idk man i don’t think u said it loud enough
Big facts
I really wanna start this sport the community seems so nice and the always learning aspect
Do it! You’ll love it!
True dat
I've started it 3 months ago and regret it. I should've started it 3 years ago 🤣
I feel you man. Started at 18. Should’ve started at 12 lol
It’ll be the best thing you ever did. I started at age 43 and wish I’d started 30 years earlier. 😂 But I'm still so glad I finally started.
Was just promoted to Purple Belt and I’m re-learning some of these moves. You never stop learning and re-learning in BJJ
You literally have one of the best jiujitsu channels
Wow !
Thanks for the love!
@@jedidoesjiujitsu3177 you the man ,Jedi . Watching your videos have got me psyched about this sport , bro.
I'm almost 10 years in, and I am still working on these submissions! Great video... It should be on everyone's "watch before rolling" playlist.
I really appreciate that!
I keep seeing you everywhere rollvids I know this is an old comment but I love your videos so keep it up
@@benjobopper5447 Thats really cool to hear! Thanks for the kind words!
This is amazing bro!!!!
Hey brother,
I just wanted to thank you for all of the high quality content on your channel.
I started doing BJJ last month, only training 2-3 times a week.
Your channel has helped me tremendously, and has even made my wife interested in learning because of how easy you make it to pick up on techniques.
I truly hope you get to grow even more in the BJJ / youtube community.
THANK YOU
Your content is really helpful to me!!! I love that you give the different options as you go instead of making us search for the submission for each situation in different videos. Thanks Jedi!!!!
The guy hitting the bag sums up 2020 in a nut shell lol
Haha
Man you distracted me and i already struggle with paying attention 🤣🤣🤣
As i was to pre occupied watchin yer man i first thought that guy was shadow boxing as the bags near enough same colour as the walls
I specifically came to look for this comment 😂
Love this video! I put this in the background while I help my ten year old work on his basic submissions. It’s been an incredible journey to do together. For me I’ve returned to bjj after being away ten years and my son is now six months in and it’s been a great bonding experience and your videos have helped me teach him things I have forgotten over the years! Easily my favorite bjj page
This was the best beginner submissions video I’ve seen thus far. Learned a lot and saving to review over and over. Thank you for sharing!
Loving the explanation. There is a lot of small steps I was missing. Also it explain a lot of what I was doing to get out of some submissions and how to battle that.
Dude you're a good natural teacher. This was easy to follow for beginners and included all the finer points for veterans.
Case in point I totally forgot about the arm under the knee when you go perpendicular for various subs or sweeps or whatever. Seeing you do it I was like oh shit oh yeah I need to tighten up lol
Im a white belt and i left my gym and then covid hit so its been over a year and i wanted to get back in and my confidence was low i felt like i forgot everything i learned other than defense but after watching this and remembering most of them gave me quite a bit of confidence back im definitely gonna start practicing these so when i can get back into it i can do more than survive 😂😂
This video has restored my interest in Jiujitsu again
This deserves a sub. Thanks for your insight! You should make longer videos on each one of these techniques showing the different setups and also the defenses.
Super useful video, I've learned all these techniques, but been having trouble remembering many and mostly just resorted to ankle lock, armbar and americana for a time now, and it started to frustrate me. Great, to the point assessment, I'll try to reintegrate them during practice. Thanks a lot!
A lot of content in a short video: well done! I needed the details you’ve provided. Thanks.
Thanks Marty! Glad you like it!
Love the spinning arm bar from side control! It’s my go to whenever I feel that arm wrap around my head!
I’m six years in and come back to this often. All the subs you ever need! Great video. I also think that each one of these has huge variations. Great content.
Lots of good techniques, tips, details...and not just for Jiu Jitsu...lots of cool editing. Totally subscribing!
Really appreciate that!
Good video, maybe different color kimono to better see whats going on.
@@nikolamilenkovic8441 valid 😀👍
What a great video. I've watched these performed by so many UA-camrs and still manage to pick something up! Thank you very much
It’s amazing how many small details you can pick up from the same move !
Appreciate the support!
You have been one of the most valuable and inspiring channels that I've watched in the last few years since I went to my first Jiu Jitsu classes.
Most of my work and practice has been at home, thanks to UA-cam.
Our jiu jitsu journey is what we make it!
I just finished the book Breathe by Rickson Gracie.
The inspiration keeps coming.
I want to get all the kids I know learning the basics for self defense and self esteem.
We can each have a ripple effect!
💗🙏
Congrats on the new job Jedi! I agree quality is more important than quantity and your vids are definitely quality. Keep em coming! Dope set ups by the way. You even showed the "Khabib triangle" set up from mount he recently hit.
Thanks brother!
Yeah I was shocked to see him go to he’s back to finish it.
Just started 2 months ago, and the contents of this video are easy to understand even with my very basic understanding. Great video, great job - I'm subscribing :D
Thanks!
Glad to hear you’ve started the best hobby sport there is!
I suspect if you continue content like this your channel will explode. You’ll have to make a 50,000 or 100,000 subscription extravaganza.
Awesome stuff
Thanks! I fully intend on making something special for it!
Extremely easy to understand. Thank you for this great content 🔥
Love the videos, thanks for all the advice. It's definitely going to help me while rolling
I started a little over a month ago I just did my first tournament and got 2 bronze medals it’s been a lot of fun and a huge learning experience nearly everyone has been humble and eager to help any chance they get
Love it! Great vid! I hit an arm triangle from closed guard last Monday on a fellow white belt! Think I need to start looking for these more...🤷♂️
Congratulations on the new job! Bouta get PAID!
That’s awesome brother!
Good to be making money again!
Your explanations are amazing! I’m getting so much out of this video, thank you man
i’ve been doing mainly striking and standing martial arts for 13 years and recently have been trying to learn more ground work so this video was super helpful 🙏
Recently found your channel, love the narrated sparring ones. Defo quality over quantity. Keep it up bro, peace
Thanks bro!
Thanks bro!
I’ve been learning a lot bro! Thanks so much for the quality content! Can’t wait til I get my blue belt finally! Mark my words in 2021. I’ll get it or be very close to getting it.
Keep up the good work!
Wow great video!! Love that you showed several variations of each submission and with lots of important details too. Thank you Jedi Master🙂
Glad to help! 🙏🏽
Just had my first trial night, and signed up for a membership at the Renzo Gracie school near me. Glad I found your channel.
I like how you threw in the straight ankle, when I started bjj I came in at weird time at the gym and one of my first subs I learned was an ankle lock from a bottom entry and really expanded my game from the jump and gave me something most other white belts didn’t have in my area, 2.5 years later and it’s still a huge part of my game
Yes. Foot locks are so under used in bjj. If you’re decent at them that gives you such an advantage over other grapplers!
I’m about 30 lessons in and your videos are so helpful.. thank you for putting them together and sharing! I just wish I could pause mid-roll and pull out my phone to watch sometimes!!! It feels a bit like the phrase “everyone has a plan until they get hit in the face”.. in BJJ beginner mode “everyone has a plan until your face is squished in an armpit”!! :)
You’re wasting your time making this dork rich. Just go train.
Also…why does everyone always butcher the Mike Tyson quote? I bet you felt really cool writing that stupid shit
@@smokinlion8889 and yet here you are :)
I think you’ve rejuvenated my energy for this again. Thank you!
Great work man ! I personaly love the ezzechiel choke ! Keep it up
Me and my brother just had out first bjj class and we love it. It's so much fun and great exercise. We learned some of these drills during our first class. Thanx for posting these, really helps us when we train at home on days we have no class.
That awkward moment when you’re a brand new white belt and you’re up against much more skilled white belts.
@@PuppyL07 lol I know the feeling. Dam near tapped inside a closed gaurd. Thought my ribcage was gonna collapse
@@starryeyes5860 the other day we were doing something involving submissions from closed guard and I ended up in a rock-solid turtle. At least I know I can do something.
This is great!! I wanna teach my boyfriend bjj and I dont want him to be intimidated by it and you explain things in such a simple to digest and interesting way
Thanks
This was a good refresher man. Nicely done!
Thank you so much jedi... you're truly awesome.
more of this my man!!!!! I WANT MOREEE!!! and do some pass, guard and some sweeps :) for white belts like me, who can't roll because of the pandemic, cheeersss~!!! because of a great youtube juijutsu artist
Thanks fam! Guard passing video is in the works
Great video! Imo the only thing i would change on my list is switching darce with a rnc
The reason I put the darce where I did is because I learned it quicker that the rnc.
Appreciate the feedback!
Nicely done breaking things down and making it very clear! 👍
you’re awesome! thank you, i appreciate these videos. keep going!
I just had mu first class and i feel lost
Very normal
its been 10 months. how are u doing now?
Should i satrt with bjj?
@@DWRN42YES
Jui jitsu looks like a lot of nicer community then boxing
Thank you for the video; these will help me on the mat tonight!
it helps me a lot to teach fundamentals those details are gold. Great editing.
Based on how many videos I've watched I'm essentially a purple belt now.
Haha
0:21 - "the submissions we're going to be going over are high percentage"
2:21 - shows Americana
LOL
You can’t hit that fam...
Americana is my go to.

Brand new 51 year old white belt. I have been training for 2 months. Thank you for this video, and how completely you explain things.
Excellent video! Thank you so much for uploading such an useful techniques with clear explanations . Again, Thanks!
"These submissions don't require a lot of skill and technique " 🤔😂😂😂
This video is so useful, Very good for a quick reminder before class on the small bits that help finish the submission.
This is my new favourite video, thank you bro
Thanks seeing ur different advanced transition techniques helped me flow better thanks again!
Thanks 🙏🏽
Thanks for the video man, I learned the D Arce Choke by you and pulled it of the next day, I've only trained 2 times before (3 with that one)
Great video - a nice piece of revision after classes. Thanks

Appreciate the support!!
Dope video. Been looking for a video like this since I started bjj 6 months ago and never found a good one. Straight to the point and great explanation and detail. Thanks man 🙏
Glad to help!
I watched this right before getting on the mats and hit a arm triangle. As soon as he put his arm on my neck I remember watching that position in the video and submitted him with it. It was super cool 👍👍
That’s awesome Brotha!
Bro I love your energy when it comes to making these vids. Quality over quantity!
This is very clear and helpful. Also, the soothing background music is highly amusing.
I started bjj ab 7 months ago and your videos help so much❤️
Excellent vid....spot on. Thx so much for all the info. Soooooooooo th thankful
I've been doing bjj for years now but having someone else doing fundamentals means alot most times placement over but sometimes sub over placement thank you for the content
Jedi, I'm coming back to ypur vids again and again. Fighter and teacher. I think now, you are a son of Helio, metaphorically. Also awesome to know you are working an IT thing.
Peace, again baby,
on pace, in the place!
im happy that you showed the americana as it was the first submission I learned.
I started jitz a month ago, learned the leg triangle my first day while with some advanced guys in an early morning class, and have been landing it on guys in the evening class. So thanks for the tips on different ways to approach it, and for the tips on other ways to finish.
Leg triangle lol. Who were you landing those “leg triangles” on? Women and children? 😂
Well done. Clear demonstrations and explanations.
